Tried to ignore the urge for a bit over an hour, but just couldn't get past it

The cravings got the better of me and I got up and started heading out. Paused at the door. But the cravings won again and I kept going

Finally got the the elevator on my floor

While waiting for the elevator, which was taking longer than usual, something deep within rose up and snatched the reins from the hunger. I turned around, went back to my apartment, changed, dropped my wallet in a drawer and walked to the gym instead

It was a shitty lift but I spared myself well over a thousand calories in garbage

Did the Lord save me by slowing down that elevator?

Proud of myself for making actual progress. I spent 2 years with extremely disordered eating. Binge eating, hard restriction, binge eating, binge eating, binge eating, hard restriction. Basically just jumping the same 20 pounds up and down. I ballooned up to 220 pounds (I'm 5'9) and my doctor told me I was getting fat on my liver. Freaked me out. Decided I was really going to do it this time. I took 2 weeks constantly reading everything I could about how food worked with my body. I live in the USA south. You would be surprised how ignorant people are about food down here. Myself included. I was so vastly stupid when it came to how food and my body worked. Took the time to educate myself. High restriction + moderate exercise 3 - 5 days a week. I just hit 180 pounds this morning. (40 pounds loss) I could cry right now. All this time it was really that easy. Some of the biggest things I learned was volume of food does not equal caloric density. 2 or 3 little debbie cakes are LOADED with calories despite "just being 1 or 2 little debbie cakes" ect... ya know. Just learning all about calories. Sorry for rambling just excited I'm making real progress. I'm just in awe how stupid I was before. I'm learning how to actually eat and eat good with lots of volume and filling food that is below my TDEE as opposed to starving myself and going over my TDEE with junk and caloric dense crap food. Checking in because, I'm feeling.... well I'm not near cracking or cheating, but it just feels like I have so long to go. Patience is a fucking virtue for sure. I'm currently using avatar nutrition and cutting fast fat loss at approx 2400cal on 6 days and 3100 on my high macro day. It will make you develope some really nasty habits and you'll get trap in this never ending cycle of "I'mma water fast today, oops I fucked up might as well binge and start tomorrow" Rinse and repeat this mantra everyday. At your weight I'm just going to say hyper focus on your diet and try walking like 30 mins a day. Just some physical activity but nothing strenuous. And I don't really know that much about KETO but honestly just as long as your in a caloric deficient you're going to low weight. Eat 500 calories under your TDEE and adjust your TDEE weekly. High restriction and 30 mins of low intensity physical activity daily and you'll be doing good anon.

But you need to lean what your TDEE is. That's how many calories you burn daily. And you need to eat 500 calories under that. Causing a caloric deficient in your body. This will make you lose weight. Just find your BMI m8, just google "how many calories can i eat" and you will find numerous websites. Just type in your height age and weight and it will tell you what you want to know.

As for what you eat? If your only concern is weight then it doesn't matter if it's all veggies or nothing but McDonald's and candy. You might feel like shit if you eat nothing but garbage though and it's not necessarily good for your health, even if you manage to lose weight.

It's just bad man. It's stressful as fuck on the body and while I wouldn't say it's "dangerous" it sucks balls. Your not eating. You're not getting the nutrients you need. You'll be miserable. I wouldn't say that it's medically dangerous though. But it's MUCH better to just create a caloric deficit and 30 mins of physical activity a day. You'll look better. You'll feel better. And you'll body will be better. Water fasting is just going to make you look like shit. And feel like shit. I've read testimonies from people water fasting (and there are tons on youtube as well) and people in the water fasting community casually talk about how on day 5 they shit themselves by accident and that on day 7 they were throwing up stomach acid and were proudly showing off their white coated tounges and talking about their bad breath was signs their body was "cleansing" or whatever. If I'm running an aggressive deficit (1000/2200cal, mostly chicken and veg) should I be taking vitamin supplements? What about protein and fiber?

I'm doing cardio, but should I do weight training? If I understand this stuff correctly I won't be gaining any muscle while I'm on a deficit, and I don't think I have much to lose either.

Can you do good weight training without equipment? I've got plenty of floorspace.

My ideal weight is 140lbs, so I imagine I should be lighter than that before I start replenishing it with muscle. What % body fat should I get to before I start rebuilding?

Will unused muscles decay into fat with a steady caloric intake? How much maintenance do they demand?

There is no 'fast' way to lose 100lbs. Best case you might lose this in a year, if that's considered fast. A lb ever 3.6 days is doable but I don't see you swapping over to a 1500 calorie diet immediately. Start at 2000 calories, Hell start 2500 calories and just learn to eat right. That's chicken breast and vegetables every meal until you're sick of the sight of chicken breast.

Until you are losing weight by sorting your diet you can just throw exercise out the window. You'll out eat any positives you gain or break your knees running. Maybe get rid of your car or cycle everywhere. That would be a great start. Be that person who goes everywhere by bike even if it means you have to leave an hour earlier and turn up half an hour later after a puncture.

If you want ways to drastically speed up fat loss start by cutting out bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, cereal. Anything that involves melted cheese and that includes sprinkling cheese on something hot. Anything carb like.

No more sweets or chocolate, you now eat fruit. And fruit means apples oranges bananas and grapefruits. Not grapes, strawberries, raspberries and ice cream.

You drink diet soda now, soon that will be flavored, then water.

You drink coffee or tea now, no sugar.

Very slowly. You need to factor in how active you are of course. It's probably a good idea to start out around 2,000 a day. Maybe 2,500 if you're like 300+ lbs and afraid you'll have a lot of trouble.

I would advise against eating tuna often, it has high mercury levels whereas sardines don't. You can try out Mackerel if you want another fish that's canned, healthy, and doesn't have a lot of mercury.

Just lots of little things. Had an extra big bowl of butternut squash soup with cream cheese on crackerbread, had a chocolate fairy cake (though was only 100 calories, pretty tiny cake). Extra packet of crisps. Blue cheese. A lot of it was only say, 100-200 calories but when I'm losing so slowly I know a small fuck up is going to ruin me.

I feel pretty lonely because my only RL friend has gone for a couple weeks and my other friends all hate me/have abandoned me. I have no one to show my 100lb weight loss to besides my parents, internet friends I can't show picks to, and I have basically no before pics anyway. Sad, sad existence I live.

Alright, /fitfats/, I'm 240lbs, down from 270 in late Jan. I've been doing 90% lifting, and just removing soda/shit food from my diet (I used to do takeout almost every night, now down to once or twice a week).

If you really like sweet drinks, a tip, tea sweetened with Stevia will get your sweetness fix without completely tanking your calorie count like soda will. I good thing I've been drinking lately is Tazo Passion Tea half and half with homemade lemonade, all sweetened with Stevia.

Also, swap out your fitness routines as often as needbe to keep you engaged. Usually mine are every 2-3 months. My current, for those who are interested:

Mon- Light Stretching/Calisthetics

Tues:
Incline Dumbell Bench Press 5x5
Dumbell OHP 5x5
Dumbell Fly 5x10
Assisted Dip Machine 5x5

Nah, i've got a couple of really light stretchmarks under my arms that you've got to look for to even see. You usually don't get bad stretchmarks if you're losing under 100 pounds. The key is to lose the weight slowly, 1-1.5 pounds a week and no crazy 800 calorie cuts or anything like that.

Started July of '15 at 427. Been sitting at 244 for 4 months. I used to aim for 1700 calories a day before as I started losing, switched to 2000 calories a day as I tried weight lifting, hadn't gone to the gym since christmas.

Way I figure, i've been in the 240s since January, my dumb ass has been eating around 2400 calories a day when i figure in weekend food intake averaged in.

Been back at the gym for 3 weeks now, water weight finally went away (from lifting), and i have been crazy accurate at measuring, and go figure, sitting at 242 right now before waiting for my final saturday weigh in around 1:00 or 2:00. feel like such a stupid wasteful ass for not getting my ass back to the gym sooner, on top of that underestimating my calories.

at least i can say in that time i had something great happen like i met my girlfriend in february during my lazy period, and was able to talk to her about my 180 pound weight loss. she's supportive, and the kindest and sweetest woman I have ever met. i'm gonna make it, i'm gonna get rid of this fucking stomach, loose skin or not. hell i just bought a bicycle last week and now i'm gonna go ride it instead of eat breakfast. we're all gonna make it. JUST TRACK EVERYTHING. and instead of going all out when you go to the bar, save your calories for the night, have a couple beers, enjoy a burger and a couple fries, be ready for the scale to go up a couple pounds, and get back at it the next day.

Just pulled the image from google, but it's pretty similar to how it was when I did it(just put a raw egg into a cooking clear soup).

I just made 500ml soup with some powder stuff, put an egg in it while it cooked and ate it all.

But yeah, if you want to do that when making more soup, just put the portion you want to eat in a seperate pot.
