I started going to gym few weeks ago, I tried CrossFit before but not my thing. In my gym a hear a lot of bad stuff about CrossFit and i don't understand why people hate it so much
I don't really think it's as bad as /fit/ makes out but it's still pretty bad. It seems like a lot of the time they have really poor, almost dangerous form and do really weird shit like yelling and screaming to get themselves psyched up. It's pretty gay man
dont click play brehs you dont need to see that u_u
Nothing really wrong with in itself crossfit but everything wrong with how they have a coach industry where regular assclowns get a certification over an expensive weekend and is then supposed to teach beginners with no motor control or sense of their bodies how to do complex movements with high intensity for time.
Pathetic? I believe she was actually doing weighted zyzz poses
that or she was giving Zyzz a hand job while he was sitting on Mount Olyumpus, within a few second of trying to touch his mirin cock, she only touched it with her pinkie for a nanosecond before Zyzz throws the trespassing crossshitter thrown out of Mount Olyumpus. she is only strong in that arm.
If I remember correctly, he dropped the bar behind him and then something happened involving the bumper plates that were just stacked right next to him he snapped his spine right up for those paraplegic crossfit gains.
Are they TRYING to injure themselves? What's the fucking point of all this? Who's in charge? How can businesses like this operate legally? Why do those 20kg pl8s seem to weigh 5 lbs each? Why are they using mixed grips to clean? Why doesn't a single person have a single idea about form? Why doesn't a single person stop this dangerous shit? WTF
the owner of a crossfit gym i went to used to bring his dog to the gym
then it ran out on the street and got hit by a car during a workout
then he closed the gym for emotional issues
crossfit is weird
i went to a crossfit gym for 3 months last year and confirmed literally every stereotype
coaches encouraging shit form to push more reps, coaches having no idea, athletes being assigned SMOLOV routines for deadlift, squat, bench simultaneously, cliques, in-fighting, coaches banging members, rep-cutting, and just generally terrible, terrible technique in literally everything you can imagine. even pushups and air squats.
have heard a coach say 'i would never give someone 30 clean and jerks for time' and then the next week give everyone 30 clean and jerks FOLLOWED BY 30 snatches for time.
have been to 4 different crossfit affiliates, every single one is like that
haha yeah she does have cerebral palsy
kind of weird theyre getting someone with cerebral palsy to clean and jerk for reps since she is in no way capable of maintaining a safe/stable position at any stage of the lift and her knees look like theyre going to explode out sideways but i guess thats none of my business
You don't have to go all the way up to build endurance or muscle, you just don't build as much out of each "rep".
They off set this by going for extremely high rep counts with no regard for form.
crossfit workouts require you complete the exercises within a time limit
this invariably leads to people finding ways of making the exercises take less time while still meeting the 'standards', which in crossfits case, all they require you to do is go from full arm lockout to your chin being above the bar
thus we have crossfit pullups, where the arms are extended during the swing, and the chin briefly glides above the bar during the 'pullup' motion, however continues forward and under the bar to set up for the next lockout and swing
because it's exhausting in a way and people think this is proof for it to be an efficient excercise.
have you checked how the do c&j ? basically just bouncing up and down with a bar using momentum
>calling some retards that try to escape their 9 to 5 jobs in a crossfit gym "athletes"
People will talk about form and injuries, but mostly it's because /fit/ is an insular community for moderately depressed teenagers who view lifting as some sacred thing.
Imagine you've staked your sense of self on being a great chef; you've painstakingly learned to make what you believe to be the tastiest dishes out of rare ingredients. Then you find out that nobody really gives a shit, and that they're both happy eating at a grilled cheese restaurant and think grilled cheese is just as good as the food you've based your identity on.
That's /fit/ with crossfit. Nobody sees deadlifts as a religious sacrament, and fitness as some deep inner calling, outside of the autists here who want their gym time to be somehow meaningful, since they have no other meaning in their lives.
The same can be said of basically every board here - /mu/ only likes shitty esoteric music, /fa/ only likes moronic Scandanavian all black all the time skinny bullshit, /g/ with their "if you didn't build the circuit boards ur a pleb" thing.
All of this German Colorblind Butterfly BBS site is comprised of cliques just as arbitrary and vacuous as anything they rail against.
Some good shitposts tho.
doing the olympic lifts in between running several miles is literally retarded and just going to get averagefags who join a gym hurt
it's almost literally like the crossift people are trying to get people hurt, it's not like "they don't lift as perfectly as we do so let's shit on them" it's "they are hurting people"
the video shows them trying to run with two weights hanging off a bar over their shoulders on a length of chain. Once those weights start swinging (50+lbs on each side) there is nothing they can do the inertia of the weights takes them down. That is a good fucking way to get hurt, considering most crossfitfags are office workers trying to get fit on the weekends and not real athletes, and the pointlessness of this exercise... that is the issue
if they just told people to eat right and lift a little but not be perfect about it to get in better shape /fit/ would not care that they were not trying to be perfect
but it's literally like they are trying to hurt people
IMO /fit/ is petty good about not shitting on people just trying to get healthier even if they are not trying to squat 4plate or whatever
Jesus Christ, they all look like they have MS or are having violent seizures when doing pull ups, chins and the other movements. Herky jerky snap city on those tendons and ligaments.
At least the crossfit community hasn't forgotten him.
Props to them.
>Dr Stuart McGill:
>While attending the CrossFit competition at the Arnold Classic, one thing really stood out: the lifting technique was just awful.
>I did not see one competent lift. Not one! And things only got worse with each rep and set. (I will note that I have consulted before with some CrossFit gyms and there are some very competent lifters.)
>No corrections from the coaches, only encouragement to continue lifting. The injured athletes went down to the medical tent where I saw very strange and, in my view, inappropriate chiropractic and physical therapy approaches being administered.
Notice that in the video, the first girl at https://youtu.be/M8up6A4QesU?t=7s can be seen on the background from 1m45s https://youtu.be/M8up6A4QesU?t=1m44s, cause she obviously hurt herself doing such retarded lifts
Crossfit, it's only a matter of time. Whether it's 1 month or 2-3 year, crossfit WILL fuck your shit up and will get you a lifelong debilitating injury, if you do their routines and listen to their "coaches"
>taken from a crossfit gym
>Did your knees touch?
>Yeah my knees touched XD
He was competing in a CrossFag event and the organisers thought a really sensible event would be three-rep maximum weight snatch. For time. After a 15km run. Literally fucking ridiculously dangerous; taking a highly technical lift and doing it for time, with competitors who are already fucking tired. Yeah, no accident was ever going to happen there, was it?
Seriously, fuck CrossFags.
Seen every crossfit gym in my area and the same thing abroad.
They all make the newbies do clean and jerk and snatches. They call it squat clean now. Bunch of retards.
They can't even perform an body weight squat properly and their front squat form is abysmal.
No proper progression, no focus on form.
They don't even teach these motherfuckers how to bail out of a failed lift let alone actually doing the lift properly while treating the olympic lifts as a cardio and endurance exercise.
That community is full of try hards.
>Nobody sees deadlifts as a religious sacrament
>he doesn't cover his body in ceremonial chalk before asking for the favor of fallen heroes
>he isn't being uplifted by the dead during his labor and one step closer to enlightenment ever PR
>he doesn't even attempt to divine the glimpses of holy visions he sees after a heavy deadlift
why do you even lift
