I injured my back falling down the stairs and then aggravated it by continuing to squat and deadlift with poor form.
The pain doesn't bother me much unless I try to squat / deadlift / pendlay row etc.
I hear that doctors can rarely do anything about lower-back problems so now I just do ABxCD
A - Back and bis
B - Chest and shoulders (chest focus)
C - Back and bis (different focus)
D - Shoulders and chest (shoulder focus)
It's quite fun.
Those were the only ones I ever enjoyed and I'd hate to take a whole day training just to do leg-press, leg curls and hamstring curls.
I suppose I could switch up the routine to ABCxABCx though
Aiight bro. I think I'll start doing legs once a week for now, just to start.
I don't find large legs aesthetic anyway, and my upper-body isn't large enough to make me look silly.
havent done a leg day in a month. was considering doing one tomorrow and built my week around it, but looks like im not alone here.
i dont get that awesome burn i used to, which is what i think makes it fun for noobs. on top of that i already have shitty knees which only gets aggravated if i do anything heavy, which leaves non heavy work i.e. essentially a rest day
I think I might abandon squats. They hurt, they're hard, they make me dread the gym, and they aren't growing my legs like I thought they woudl.
Might just do a bunch of lunges instead. What think?
>They hurt, they're hard, they make me dread the gym
You might be doing squats wrong, if not and if you just hate it just because it's challenging and makes you sore then you're just simply running away from it
fuck off with your aspie spartacusing. honestly, i can say anything contrary to mainstream opinion and 99% of you neets will pick up on it like its fact.
if youre lifting for aesthetics, youre lifting for girls. if youre lifting for strength, youre lifting for girls. its evolution. aesthetic people are desirable and strong people are desirable. if youre not lifting for women youre either lying or gay. all of you morons preach science and refuse to tip your fedoras to this simple fact of life. yes, it may please you to lift and theres absolutely no reason to lift if you take zero enjoyment from it, but the reason you enjoy it is because its simply subconsciously coded into your genetics from millions of years of evolution: strength/aesthetics is a trait that mates will search for in order to evolve the human race, and strength/aesthetics is therefore what you try to surpass others in order to be desirable and spread your seed the furthest.
You should probably eat your own words I've been lifting for almost 3.
Amount of time doesn't matter when it comes to knowledge dingus. As everyone has already told you, brosplits are shit for natties, enjoy subpar gains.
care to share the evidence? or are you regurgitating broscience that you learned during the 3 months youve been lifting?
brosplits are absolutely fine as long as youre going to the gym at least 5 days a week so you can hit every muscle group, and using a reasonable routine.
or is this a conch call for all neets to come and preach starting meme 5x5 to everyone?
Here is a better version of the program
Incline bench 3x5
Lateral Raises 3x12
Weighted Chins 3x5
Seated Cable row 3x12
Curl (or a variation, depends on you) 3x10
Add squats 3x5 on monday and friday till satisfied with legs.
> i only lift for girls, therefore everyone else only lifts for girls,
>not wearing a medium sized skinny jean that feel like skinny jeans to you
>tfw somebody took the time to save and repost an image of my legs I posted months ago.
Because if you start skinnyfat or fat you get big enough legs just by doing cardio and not being in a wheelchair, any bigger legs is unaesthetic and gross. Only gay men like a feminine ass on a guy, being a heterosexual I don't want a nice ass.
Is it a muscular problem or a spinal one? If it's a muscular problem (eg pain on either or both side of the spine rather than in the middle of your back) you can help with regular stretching. It's worked with me.
