What are some must own gym related items.
Pic kinda related
All equipment is a fucking scam. Shorts and a shirt.
Don't get gloves.
Don't get straps.
Don't get a fucking ab roller.
Don't get crossfit socks.
Don't get anything but shorts and shirts.
There's no reason to buy an ab roller really.
That said, I like to have one at home because you look like a retard doing them, and there are qts at the gym. It also shortens the time I need to be in there
>implying I use a belt at all
There is your mistake.
I'm not suggesting that equipment is a scam because you can use free stuff at the gym. I'm suggesting it's a scam because you don't need it.
Here ya go for the lifting plug, should compliment the rest of this swag.
Pic related, inzer lever belt or not belt
If its good enough for KK its good enough for me.
Seriously though the ab-wheel is a great tool but it has gotten a bad rep just because its sold on TV with promises of instant weight loss and 6-pack.
Knee sleeves if I'm squatting
Straps + Chalk
Heeled shoes for bench and front squats
Flat shoes for squats and deadlift
It did get a bit more annoying once I switched to heels down benching and found out my heeled shoes worked better for it. Have to switch shoes back and forth.
>every gym that you'd want any relation with has a fuckton more belts than you'd ever need
>abwheel is useful but you can substitute it with pretty much any core body weight exercise
Ab rollers are actually fucking useful my abs are fucking massive because of it and you can really feel the burn if you use them properly. Any other equipment is just to make manlets feel good I mean gloves are for faggots, blisters are for men
I just make sure to keep my arms straight so I'm not using them to push myself up. Go as far down as I can with the roller and do it quite slowly, then slowly bring yourself back up until the wheel is at your knees again. Repeat that about 10 times and combine that with some leg raises where you're lifting to 90 degrees ~10 times too and you'll notice a difference in your abs
What is the most retarded shit you've ever seen someone doing at the gym
>be at gym
>see skelly mang going from machine to machine
>stops at the overhead press machine
>loads up ten pounds
>comes up to me
>"Hey bro, could you spot me?"
Don't get shorts
Don't get shirts
Don't get anything but a belt and wraps
heh, I bought an ab roller today. Never even used one before, but it was $3 at Goodwill so I picked it up. I've got a small apartment gym with no ab equipment, I've just been doing planks and jackknives so far.
We'll see what an ab roller's like. Anybody else find them useful or did I waste $3?
