6 months doing the SS lifts. All I wanted was to see some abs.

But my lifts have been suffering. Should I just start bulking? Or maybe switch to a PPL and stay on a cut? and then go back to SS when I start bulking to see if I can milk some more linear progression gains?

Just what the sticky says really, TDEE-500. Which was about 2200 for me. Of course, I never could hit that exactly, so I'd be either under that or just over it. But hey a deficit's a deficit.

About 74kg on the left and about 68kg on the right I think. I don't have the exact weights for my month on month because I never bothered weighing myself, which is a crying shame I know

Did SS minus the diet of course. CNS noob gains wore out quite quickly, around the 2-4 month mark I think, so my lifts really aren't at all that impressive. And for some reason my deadlift is just naturally shit. Been troubleshooting it for a while but have yet to see results.

5rm Squats 105kg
5rm DL 97.5kg (back just rounds the second I touch 100kg)
5rm Bench 57.5kg
3rm Clean 60kg

I think it's definitely doable. Progress will seem slow, but when you cross that mark one day you'll look in the mirror and realise you look different. Keep going breh. We're all gonna make it.

Med student here, i bet you 20 bucks that you can't find a single respectable source saying that abusing insulin as a type1 diabetic increases muscle gain. Most diabetics have a even harder time gaining muscle since they lack the amino acid GABA (which are pretty crucial for muscle development).

Looking at the before picture he clearly has some defenition already and mist likely worked out before and just gained the weight and muscle back and then some. Undiagnosed diabetes makes you shed weight like crazy since your body can't absorb nutrients, its not unusual for diabetics to lose 10-20 pounds a month, since you are in a constant state of ketosis, which makes the body burn muscle for energy.

Yes there are anecdotal evidence that insulin together with steroids increases musclemass: "insulin works in synergy with steroids. Steroids spawn new muscle whereas insulin inhibits catabolism in muscle and liver by increasing the synthesis of glycogen and proteins and promoting the entry of glycogen and amino acids into muscle cells before an event, thereby improving stamina" So the only sources i can find online about using insulin for gains are people who are already on rhGH and/or other steroids.
