Do you regret not starting lifting earlier?
>>
>>35650756

>>
>>35650756

>>
>>35650756
Whats his routine though
>>
>be me
>be 28

Yes.

All of my every yes.
>>
21 so much regrets that i didnt start earlier especially that i had inner motivation to do this but somehow didnt start
>>
I regret losing motivation the year after college when I was 21. One full year with no lifting. 24 now and I've only had two years of consistent lifting. Not sure I can even count the year I did in high school and several months stretches in college anymore since I lost all those gains in one year.

190 lbs down to 150 lbs at my lowest at 5'11".
>>
>>35650756
fuck yes. got my first gym membership when i was 15 but i trained like 1 time per week on the fuckig machines for about 3 years.
just about 2 years ago i started lifting heavy compounds and actually made any gains.
>>
started when I was 15 (almost 16) with all variety of excercises with 2.5kg dumbbells on each hand + sitpus+ pushups + triceps pushups, increasing 2 rep of each excercise every 2 workouts, and putting 0.5kg more every two months. This was 3 days a week, but I also started running 2 days a week. Didn't go to the gym tho. Cool results, but could I have done better? 19 atm.
>>
>>35650756
>age 27

had more important stuff to deal with senpai. I start things when I need to start things.
>>
>>35650835
cause you can't do more than one thing at the same time.
>>
Started at 16 but didnt start making gains until 18.

Still, feels bretty gud.
>>
>>35650791
roids.
look at the bacne
>>
>>35650827
>>35650828
>>35650847

Isn't it generally a shit idea to lift hard when you're that young? You don't finish growing until like 19.
>>
>>35650864
I'm
>>35650828
was ~1,7m at that time, now 1,81m
>>
what'd be the ideal age to start lifting then?
>>
>>35650756
of course
>>
No regrets, it's never too late.

>>35650894
When you're ready.
>>
>>35650878
Well, your routine wasn't too heavy. I'm talking about something like a standard SS/SL deal.

>>35650894
Don't know how useful a high school's standards are, but mine didn't allow anyone under 16 to take the weight lifting course. I took it at 17, but my lifts didn't go very far.

no because i started at 14. only thing i regret is not switching things up sooner. i did the same shit for yeeeeaaarrrsss because "it worked". ive recently opened my eyes and tried new things and could not be happier.
>>
>>35650788
yo dude shit is hard to get rid of. all the good stuff dries you to shit and has like suicide and depression listed as side effects
>>
>>35650756

Started at 14/15. Wish I started at 13 so I could've been the strongest at my high school but, I still ended up pretty close.
>>
>>35650864

It doesn't matter unless you injure your growth plates
>>
>>35650864
lifting stunting growth is a myth
>>
I sometimes regret even starting lifting
>>
I started working out when i was 16. I was doing some machine/cable/isolation bullshit that got me nowhere. Got on SS almost 3 months ago, added
28 kg/ 60 lbs on Squat
30 kg/ 66 lbs on DL
8 kg/ 17 lbs on Bench
11 kg/ 24 lbs on OHP

I wish i got on a good program from the very first time i stepped into a gym.
>>
>>35650756
Nigger Connor is on roids. Check his youtube out. Wizeman i think its called
>>
>>35650965
accutane cleared my bacne in 3 month

down sides : it dried my lips and skin
>>
>>35650756
Yes. Tried when I was younger. Could not make any decent progress cos poor and shitty nutrition.
Now im 28 with a decently paid job and enough free time to workout.
>>
>>35650864
I think it's just you have to be careful with heavy weights especially if you're really young since your bones and stuff haven't fully fused yet. But it's never too early to start being fit
>>
>>35651024
why anon
>>
>>35650756
Of course. I realize I had free gym membership in college, but never did anything about it.

Would've at least liked to lose weight back then.
>>
>>35651048
lmao bro at 16:

45kg on squat
55kg on dl

>>

>Your Ohp vs bench
How?
>>
>>35651558
Probably poor form at 16 bro, I regret not pushing myself harder at 16.
>>
no, I started 2 months ago at 21 and now hat I'm 22 I'm happy with my decision. I spent my early years playing team sports and now I think, it is the best time to start my solitary pursue of aestethics
>>
>>35651527
You are doing bench or overhead press VERY wrong
>>
>>35651527
>45 kg squat
your program is 10 sets of 20 reps?
>>
Started at 14 so no regrets.
Gains come very slow at that young age though.
But always being the biggest dude feels awesome.

>>
>>35650756
Just wish I started a year earlier.

In first year of college right now and having one year of prior lifting experience would have been fucking great rather than 0 experience and starting from the bottom. But whatever, here's to hoping that in my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years my body will be in its prime.
>>
Don't care. It takes me 3 months of my typical extreme or nothing commitment to be bigger than 80% of gym goers and 97% of the population at large. I'm 31 now but started lifting hard from 14-22 on and off.

I'm almost 21 and have only completed sophomore year of college. I'll have to repeat it though since I'm going from US to EU university systems, so I'm basically getting a restart on college life, but this time fit and a lot more of a normie. Thinks are looking up

I did three rounds of accutene. It cleared it out all three times but it always came back. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. It has improved drastically but idk. (age 24)

I moisturize, cleanse, exfoliate, change my bedding, use a DE razor, and such. I think I need to stop touching my face so fucking much.

Also remember aquaphor for your lips, shit is like vaseline and works real well.
>>
>>35651720
keep going man. Don't go to hard and hurt yourself. Make sure you rest enough. But eat like a sumo wrestler

You will not regret it in 5 years when you're a god

It's supposed to dry up your skin. Acne (non bacterial kind) is caused by built up oil and sweat.

>>doesn't shower after every workout
>>acne is hard to get rid

And you can't just hop in and rinse off. Get something to reach your back. You don't have to scrub, but make sure you get some lather everywhere.

>>but showing everyday is bad for my skin

Not as bad as workout leftovers.

Tried to get into lifting at 13, but no gyms or sport of any kind near home.

Tried to get into lifting at 15 when moving to a new place. Only one gym, very small and mostly gym bully members. Got my ass kicked and never returned.
>inb4 you fucking pussy.

Tried to get into lifting at 18 when moving to Uni but couldn't afford gym.

Tried to get into lifting at 22, but lost job and apartment.

Got into lifting at 25, enjoying noob gains as we speak.

Late is better than never I guess.
>>
I regret not squatting earlier. I think I know why Russia and China are such good Olympic lifting countries. It's because they have squatting cultures and have large populations. Western countries have unhealthy sitting cultures, so you mostly see people doing quarter or half squats in the gym because they can't go any deeper. Tbh, even parallel squats are not true squats in my opinion.
>>
>>35653462
Breh suck it up. Been balding since I was 17 and getting ready to shave now that im 21. Life goes on. DESU I wouldnt say im glad im going bald but it forced me to get my shit together and be mature cause who wants to be some bald NEET. Now im the biggest of all my friends and got the best job and my shits not all fucked.
>>
>>35650756
started at 17, which ain't too bad, I only wish I had done more compounds from the get go
Fore nearly an entire year I neither squatted nor deadlifted
>>
From 15-18 years old, I think you should just be exercising. Swimming, running, and moderate lifting is good, or do a sport. It's a lot harder to get into a team oriented sport when you're older.

I personally started lifting @ 20 and I have 0 regrets. I made gains pretty quickly since I was already disciplined, motivated, and fairly healthy.
>>
>>35650756
20yo, yes. I would so much further ahead and probably nearing my natty limit, maybe all my memories of highschool sports wouldn't be the first-person benchwarming simulator they resemble, and I would have actually had confidence through my first year of uni.
>>
>>35650756

Do I regret it?
Nah, regret is just another waste of energy like most emotions.
Slowly cutting that nonsense out wherever possible.
Not where I want to be yet, but still my "not being a fucking punk bitch" gainz are pretty dam amazing compared to when I first started this journey.
>>
I regret not taking gymnastics as a kid
>>
>>35650756
For reals OP. Got interested in weight lifting in 10th grade but wasn't very serious and only used machines. 11tu grade played football and they made us use free weights. My first max outs ever were 180lb bench, 210lb squat, 170lb clean, and 140lb incline. Felt super weak cause a lot of freshmen were out lifting me.
>>
>>35660091
That summer I took things seriously though and lifting like crazy. By the end of my senior year I was benching 270, squatting 290, cleaning 220, and incline 250. Still had a lot of sophomores, and even some freshmen out lift me though.
>>
>>35659779
>regret is just another waste of energy like most emotions
This makes me sad.
>>
>>35650847
Same here, exempt I'm 26 now

Don't waste any time inbetween like I did, be glad you got an eart start.
>>
Roaccutaine only made me loose 1/3 of my hair, have nose bleeds every third or fourth day, and some mild audio hallucinations before I lost some hearing in my left ear.

Was still worth it.

same as you

I regret it every fuckin day
