Absolutely. A large frame (thick joints, broad shoulders, wide hips, etc.) can carry more muscle. Bone structure is indicative of growth hormone and testosterone levels. Bigger bones need bigger muscles to move.

But, a big frame is harder to "fill out". 16" guns look much more impressive on 6" wrists than they do on 8" wrists. Guys with big frames, who can carry the most muscle naturally, really don't look as impressive as guys with smaller frames who carry less muscle.

A litmus test for frame size is wrist girth. Small is under 6.5", medium is 6.5" - 7.5", large is over 7.5".
