Exercising while young will result in better health when you're older. You'll be able to do exiting things for longer. Retirement will be much more enjoyable. So no, lifting is not pointless in the long run. It's the very opposite.
That's not even counting the extra experiences being fit opens up while you're still young.

He used to lift babby weight on squats and deadlifts, he was 100% convinced it would fuck up his back (he's always had a bad back). He went to this low T center and got a prescription for test. He started running and within a year he went from fat beer gut looking old guy to a pretty in shape old guy Being fat ages you like 500% more, his friends who are like 30%-40% fat have health problems and his friends who are younger than him but fatter than him look his age. Running and cardio will keep you alive. Test will do that also. He also takes a fuckload of supplements but I think 90% of them are placebo

Stick to dumbbells and barbells when you can. You're no spring chicken anymore, you need to educate yourself on exercises before you start doing them. Also don't be one of those old farts who lifts with shitty form. There's this old fat guy at my gym who bounces the barbell off his chest during bench press and he does like 1/4 squats, but he does 300-400 pounds when he lifts. Young guys can afford to do diddlylifts and squats and bench with shit form but older guys can't. Personally I would ask a doctor about which supplements to take, I think anything more than fish oil and vitamin D is overkill personally.

I have been taking Leucine + Carnosine + Citruline/Malate2;1+ Green Tea extract + Pterostilbene + Magnesium Glycinate + Taurine + ALCAR for a while try to incorporate some IF/Keto (HighFat cycling) Lifting fasted cardio with Yohimbine HCL to get at some resistant fat.
I crave cold water too.. cold showers daily.. swim in the NH Coastal Ocean water even as low as 50F.. hike in the mountains when I have time.. I can't however feel safe lifting at levels I;d like to to add more muscle
I am keeping at it but just saying its pretty much a bummer when you feel these things ..
