Lifting things and putting them down is fun when you like it, a oly lifter loves what he does, a gymnast will say the same, now go do your personal shit instead of comparing two different sports.
it's a cultural thing. Thing is if you attempt to suggest that fitness is something that isn't lifting barbells off the floor you will get yelled at on /fit/. And thats fine.
You just need to realize that /fit/ is 30% powerlifting 30% bodybuilding and 100% shitposting. And that's ok
