My gf wants to start going to they gym. What are the best exercises for women?
I was thinking low weight high reps?
Also, women training general i guess?
Get her in to stretching and training for splits. It'll show her how weak her (stabilizer) muscles are and a clear path to getting better.
Also, thick is where it is. More testosterone boosts her sensations, libido, and orgasms.
Terry Crews, on just 3 types of exercise to do if nothing else, says squats, power cleans, pullups (for overall mass).
If her goal is to look good (toned, whatever) then she should train like a competitive sprinter. Lifting for strength and power, and HIIT on a sustainable progression. She'll start to look like the hottest female athletes, feel better, and be fitter.
Increasing calorie output has more potential than reducing intake for ordinary cases. More muscle and flexibility is better circulation and a better metabolism, but you can't always get full nutrition with limited calories.
For stabilizers and flexibility, I do wall stretches and back-supported butterflies (no flap), making sure to feel them all through the whole leg and especially not knees.. keeping that knee cap unflexed, same for squats.
>if anything women need to train strength because they're weak af
This. Women are fucking pathetic naturally, and then even moreso because they never put any effort into lifting. Then they lose muscle when they get older, and by the time she hits 40 she's just pathetic and frail
I never understood why this is a meme
Toning is getting swole but to a lesser extent. More muscle, less bf gives your body nicer curves and shape. It's entirely possible.
Because most girls can't accept that they need to lift somewhat heavy to get the "toned" look they're seeking. They think they'll become Arnold if they do, so they end up not lifting and just doing.. whatever it is they do.
My mom started going to the gym with me (I don't live with her plz no underage b&) she's 53 and semi overweight and has a really bad back. Anyone know of exercises besides cardio she could be doing or a routine that wouldn't hurt her?
