>>35501391 1. eat a moderate dose, fucktard 2. sugars are fine, just avoid free sugars. no more than 36g free sugars a day.
as far as fruit sugar and dairy lactose is concerned, it only has to fit your macronutrient and caloric goals.
as long as you get enough protein and fat, and don't go over your calories, you can literally eat all the fruit sugar you want.
your body fucking runs on glucose, and glycemic load is only a concern if you are diabetic/pre-diabetic.
as long as you are relatively healthy and active, it is absolutely fine.
>>35503398 no, it is what the american heart association, the world health organization, the US food and agricultural administration, and basically everyone with a less than tenuous interest in nutrition, and access to google believes.
aside from the idiot broscientist autists, that is.
>>35503398 >he fell for the sugar industry's shilling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_sugar >"The inclusion of such a definition caused issues for the WHO with sugar companies, who attempted to get the US government to remove funding from the WHO for suggesting that consumption of free sugars within the food pyramid should only amount to a maximum of 10% of the total energy intake, and that there should be no minimum (i.e. there is no requirement for any free sugars in the human diet) on the basis that the report did not take into account the evidence supplied by the sugar industry. The report in question specifically includes references to the evidence, but was unable to use it for a health basis, as the studies did not offer effective evidence of an impact on health, and referred to such studies as "limited"."
Bah, eat as much fruit as you want. Just count the calories if you're cutting. Life's too short to get hung up on the comparison between simple and complex carbs and whether natural sugars are actually better than refined ones. Fruit is delicious and contains minerals, vitamins and is a key source of fibre. Eat up.
