For real it was a good read

I ran a 4k this morning and did a lot better than I usually do by giving myself a speech in my head during the run. I found it pretty helpful, I'd suggest it to any of you guys while you're racing or competing for something.

I told myself that I trained harder than everyone else here. I cared more. I deserved the win more. I asked myself what would my mom think if she knew I didn't give it my best shot (a phrase that my family has said for a couple generations now)? And then I ended up finishing in the top half of the runners. And two weeks from now at the first cross country meet of the season I'm gonna finish in the top fourth of runners.

A lot of you probably don't care but I wanted to tell you guys who are looking for motivation, because the best motivation comes from yourself. If you tell yourself you can do something, allow yourself to have that disconnect from the part of your mind telling you you can't and your body, you'll be successful. You'll hit that PR. You'll lose that last 5, 10, or 15 pounds. And you'll know the best feeling in the world when it finally happens.

I'm natty, but it motivates me everyday to see Golden Age arnold, Zane, and Ronnie. Who the fuck cares. The percentage of people who will ever achieve what they have is so minute even with roids. But in essence, they were great before the roids. It was in who they were. The tren just allowed them to go further. It is their drive, their motivation, their work habits. If you have the intelligence to see that, then you must have the intelligence to realize that motivation is not the same for everyone. The fact that my motivation folder has a lot of shirtless jacked men in it, does not necessarily imply I am gay (hint: I have a larger folder of fit women). I, however, draw psych from seeing what I could mold my body towards. I look at a few of these pictures and quotes before hitting the gym. It just works for me. And the point where I stop caring is in the fact that it does indeed work. No need to hate on people dude. Post what gets you psyched, encourage others, and go lift some heavy ass weight nigga.
