Most of the fits in this thread fits the bill then, they just use more than 3 pieces each fit. If you reduce FITS to only their necessary elements, what you are left with is what you posted, basic bitch that dresses like shit.
Reducing outfit to only few colors highlights the minimalism of the fit, you have colors that flow together and nothing stands out, you "minimize" anything standing out or making a statement so it's no fucking wonder only fits with one or two colors are mostly posted.

If we go by the definition it originally had, the fit you posted is probably the least minimalist in the whole thread and your bitching about colors is complete bullshit, in art the whole movement was about using as little colors as possible among other things.

There isn't "official" minimalist movement with art either, there never was minimalist manifesto or philosophy to go by, it's just a "made up" category to put certain type of art in, you can very easily do the same with clothing.
And with clothing when you strip something to it's essentials, you can do so much more than look like a boring basic bitch. You can strip goofninja to be just about drapey clothing and make a minimalist fit with that in mind, if you strip it to all black boring ass jeans with sweat like you seem to suggest, it loses the essential part of what made the fit what it was.
The art comparison is terrible to begin with, I mean granted the viewer is the one who has to interpret the art, but with fashion it's just not the "artists" (designers) who dictate what is what, because anyone can start wearing something and it can become a 'movement' or trend. Minimalist art NEEDS artists that decide actively go for minimalist art, fashion doesn't need minimalist desingers, it just needs people who have vision to take their style that way.
