literally the most un-/fa/ uni
ive seen only one decent fit this semester and it was an asian kid wearing qasas. wish campus was in center city where people give a shit
its yoga pants for fuccgirls (still average looking ass) ill fitting jeans for fuccbois
and the occasional fedorafag
CSU is most un-/fa/
Thank fuck I'm a preppy bastard
Seriously? I thought that, being Québec's best university, it was really selective, especially towards French students.
I don't mind not getting a scholarship, actually I don't mind paying full price for my education.
Ooh. That makes more sense.
Do you know of any other good universities located in Québec (not Canada in general)? Is the University of Montréal system (HEC Montréal/Polytechnique Montréal) any good?
My knowledge of quality Quebec schools is limited to McGill and Polytechnique (ENGring) everything else I say would be hearsay. You should pursue McGill though, it's a really good school.
I'm doing my masters in information science (Library shit). I'm not sure how competitive it is but I know a few people in the masters program that are doing really cool computerized eye programming things.
Go Rams - not even the fashionable people are fashionable. Fuck 40 degrees in the morning and 70 at noon
It's feels more like a professional program than a masters, and I'm way less busy than I was in my undergrad so it feels a bit odd. Overall it's more a means to an end than anything that inspires a lot of passion.
Orchestral or music librarian, or if that doesn't pan out there's some surprisingly lucrative work in the corporate sector you can get with this degree. Plus I'm bilingual so government stuff is more available as well.
I think most places will simply look at your GPA and what side-projects you have going on at the time of your Master's application. If you feel like you want the reputation for your degree as well, then choose McGill over all (in Quebec at least)
paging that one guy at uw-madison, come on lets hang out bruv
If you ever see a white nigga wearing Geos, I just want you to know I hate you and your fashion sucks.
I'm kidding, pls approach me. I want to make /fa/ friends :^(
>mfw this is my goal skool
how to cop MIT acceptance???!?!
I'm in software, and basically nobody cares about how they look in software. Industrial and civil? A few nice standouts.
Most of the well-dressed people are at McGill instead.
>Not taking advantage of this and becoming a local fashion god eventhough you're fuccboi-tier
>Not mesmerizing chicks because you know acclaimed designers such as Rick Owens and Raf Simons amongst others eventhough those really are the only ones you know
it's like you're not even trying
Not as horrible as I thought it would consider it's in the middle of Ohio. There are plenty of good fits around campus.
the thing about ole miss is it can possibly be considered the least /fa/ and most /fa/ at the same time. Bitches wearing yoga pants/nike shorts and oversized Greek shirts really kill it sometimes. I also get a sick feeling in my stomach when I see some scrub wearing camouflage cargo shorts and any random neon colored nikes they bought at Hibbets.
>tfw my school used to be effay until females and minorities ruined it.
Clearly the most superior of all Dutch Med Schools.
mcgill sucks why not apply to a good school in the states
in fact u of t, mcgill, and ubc are the only good schools in canada and even then they are complete trash in the grand scheme of things
Not really - the course is fascinating and engaging as fuck so far, and unlike STEM fucks I have social skills and enough time to enjoy university life (which is amazing here)
The plan is to do a Law conversion course after my BA, earn a shitload in my 20s and then do whatever the fuck. Politics is certainly a legit option. If I ever become Prime Minister I'll abolish VAT on designer clothes, just for you guys
well ill admit you probably have a better social life than me now since you dont take real classes that require real work
law is for fucking plebs who took faggy arts majors and think they are smart
i dont think britain will want an openly (flamboyantly) gay prime minister
that simplfies to -10
i know you can't do that kind of math with your BA in African Studies with a minor in Expressing Your Feelings
your homework this week was to suck a dick and compare cum flavours amongst your fellow arts fags
I don't even know if I can get in because I'm a last piece of shit and have a shit gpa. But it's my favorite city and the school holds pretty close to my criteria. I don't even know what I'd study really hopefully something revolving around fashion.
Anyone other Cornellians here?
Seen my sikk fits? (Oxfords and khakis)
I've been dreading the first snow because it doesn't end for 8 months and my winter fits are shit.
université de montreal.
this is the old part of the school, pretty unused
A history degree from a mid-tier school is pretty worthless, it's actually worth something from a school like Harvard. I'm not a savant, there's no way I'd go into STEM if I got into a leet school.
It's all a pipe dream anyway, I was never suited for the arts or a top university.
im more pointing out that any idiot can study arts anywhere because it is easy as fuck
i do agree that a stem major at harvard is very impressive but if some fag tells me he got a degree in basket weaving from harvard who the fuck cares
its not impossible to get into harvard etc.
ive personally worked with a guy who got into MIT for a PhD from some no name school in Canada
i stand by my statement that arts majors at any school of any rank is fucking easy as shit and for complete fuccbois
So if someone wants to go into design or something or even become an artist. They should go to the best school they can and not get an art degree because it's easy to get? That's funny king retarded.
Yeah, I can see you're an angry arts major who has realized that your degree is worth about as much as the toilet paper you wipe your ass with.
If you give me 20 dollars I'll let you look at pics of my BASc, MASc, and my MD when I finish it.
Lol dude not even arts major keep up that projection though you have no idea how the word works and have been convinced that money and status will make you happy. Sure they might but arts majors are doing what they love and if you still want to criticize that your just fucked up. Maybe it's just me but I'm perfectly content living a simple and modest life if I get to do what I love along the way.
I'm doing what I love and I am smarter and have accomplished more than any arts major ever will with their worthless fuck easy degrees.
Lmao at "Follow your dreams study gay rights studies with a minor in homopositive basket weaving if it truly makes you happy omg :')" - you
I'll be working on a cure for AIDS so I can save your life just so I can laugh at you more
>>mfw all dem qt asians and hapas wearing short shorts all year
anyone go to urbana-champaign? can you describe the usual fits?
There's a few rich Chinese kids here that actually have some sick fits
Some people have a strong prep game but very, very few
>miss most A level exams because i cant even summon the energy to wake up
>now at one of the worst unis in the UK
should i just end it? the course is so easy and the campus is dead
Even though Portland itself is pretty /fa/ PSU is average college kid core. Only occasionally see good fits.
Damn man. I grew up in Wyoming and I can only imagine UW is about the least /fa/ university out there.
I've the option to spend a semester abroad in Germany, is München a fun city? My main priority was gonna be Berlin because I've been there and I love it, but I might not get the spot there.
München is fun, especially in summer when you can chill in the Englischer Garten.
The downsides are that muc is extraordinary expensive and you have to deal with conceited preppys. Berlin is more alternative
UMass Amherst here; not v /fa/ bc state school but w/e
The girls all wear crop tops and shorts that are so short their ass cheeks are hanging out the back. The guys either pathetically attempt to pull off the frat look (I have yet to see a tie or bowtie done correctly) or just go with the timeless classic of cargo shorts and tanktops.
same, parents week was hilarious i must have seen at least 300 guys dressed exactly the same. Cargo shorts boat shoes and fsu polo. If you ever see a guy wearing tiny shorts in the morning its probably me
Also, the dressing style at the Temple University isn't too bad, but again I'm partial to girl that dress preppy :3
Most attire in most public and state are going to be relatively basic. I chill at Penn State before. People literally the same attire at Temple.
at least you're down by the bay. i'm so WMD i'm literally on the mason dixon line and close to WV as well.
talk about fucking dead beat.
i did just spend several months in boulder, co.
it's all the same, tbh.
I'm not too /fa/ myself, I'm just interested in male fashion so I lurk here. A lot of people dress like actual cowboys, other than that it's just sloppy gym style clothing, like most state schools I'd imagine.
>I'll be applying the SB if I get deferred. How is it? I heard it's a bad commuter school.
i'm not a commuter, but that's what i hear from my commuter friends as well. A large portion of the student body are commuters though, that's why our campus empties out on weekends. If your less than 30mins away from campus do it by all means, i dont think theres much difference between someone who lives on campus and someone who lives on campus, you just need to try a little harder to make friends/join clubs.
fwiw i did my undergrad at a so called ex-poly (which is still about 10 in the league tables) then went to durham for my masters, and the former was much better in every aspect. campus was better, library was better, research was better, girls were fitter
My captcha was from a postbox I've not seen that before.
>nig nogs with balenciagas
>people who don't care to think about how they dress
Not bad, but not good. Some people have their streetwear on point though
commuter? im pretty sure more than half the student body lives on campus
drexel a shit, youre buttmad because your tuition is thrice mine and a degree from either school holds the same weight sans an engineering degree from drexel which ill admit is a first-rate program
Not him, but I can answer. I recently graduated with an HBA in English Literature.
When I applied and was accepted (~5 years ago), I had an 89% average in my final year. Everything before your final year is not really looked at, and things that are not relevant to your major will not be paid much attention either. If you want to get in at the St. George Campus you will need a final average of over 80% probably, but can still get in as long as you are above 70%. For UTM and UTSC, it just depends on how many people apply that year, I had a friend who got into UTSC with an average of 68%.
Your first year would be general studies because you don't pick your major (or as U of T calls it your 'subject POSt') until the end of first year. Don't go to school with your major already stuck in your mind, take classes that interest you and make your decision after you have some experience in the school.
I pray this never happens.
Thank you. Do you know if extra-curriculars matter at all? I'm not in any clubs or teams, and I have just enough volunteer hours to graduate.
I really want to get into U of T (even better, somewhere in the US); I don't want to spend 4 years in the middle of nowhere :'(
i had a 87% average in grade 12 and didn't get into Rotman (U of T's business school) so now I'm doing commerce at UTM. Still U of T business, but my degree won't say Rotman school which sucks
Anyone from Cambridge?
My differential equations lecturer is /fa/ as fuck.
Bro tanks and chubbies as far as the eye can see.
The only /fa/ people are the ones who are rich as fuck and have been around quality clothes all their life
women are all pretty average looking
At least I don't go to Cal.
Visited there today beautiful campus fingers crossed to get in. Anyone in Seattle recommendations for stores or places to eat? I already have Arcteryx, Totokaelo, and maybe Trichome but Adam very open.
my normal fits are "my parents have chosen and bought my clothes for nearly all of my life"-core
i need some betweener coe friendsto hang out with and watch anime
Any of you guys at Chapel Hill? Thinking about going there and I wanna know what it's like ...
>inb4 anti social autismos
Toronto is the biggest city in Canada at about 2.5M and 6M in the whole GTA. If you're just set on going to U of T, you're golden, the easy programs like social sciences let you in with low 70's. Other programs require higher averages, the hardest to get into being Rotman Commerce with high 80's-low 90's. Honestly, if you just wanna live in Toronto, it's easy. There's also York and Ryerson which are waaay easier to get into, and it's not like your school's reputation for undergrad (in Canada) is super important. If you're just looking to live in a cool city with culture and whatnot then Toronto is perfect, but if you're looking for a party scene I recommend Wilfred Laurier or Western.
I think the reason behind the lack of partying and stuff is just because it's harder to find. It's a huge school, a lot of people are commuting (still living at home), and of course the school's good reputation attracts LOTS of international (read: asian) students who aren't there to have fun. To be honest, I am thinking of changing schools. Toronto is amazing, but as a poor college student I'm not always at /fa/ shows and concerts and making sick cops like I wanted to be. It's amazing, but for someone in my situation I'd probably prefer the smaller city feel.
University of Michigan studying economics. Some of the Asians are kind of effay, but eh. It's a school in the midwest, you can't really expect too much.
Welp. I guess I'm going to have to raise my marks /a lot/ if I plan to go into finance (ala Wolf of Wall Street). I think I'm too much of a dumbshit to study in the US, so I guess UofT or some other school with international recognition is good enough for me.
I'm doing okay in most of my courses except math (77), but hopefully I'll make it to 90 or so by the end of the course. Some of my classmates told me I can drop out and take the course in a private school for ez marks; universities aren't dumb and they'll catch onto this, right?
Anyways thanks for the insight man, /fa/ is pretty cool sometimes.
The true most un-/fa/ school in the USA
Every fucking fit reminds me of middle school. The chicks are all 7s, but because everyone is ugly here they become 10s. The guys all wear the same pair of shit sperrys and skinnys.
Someone save me
its actually not so bad just walking around.
But I guess theres a huge selection bias because all the spergmasters never leave their rooms.
Can confirm, it's horrible. Dadcore / MFA-tier is praised as well-dressed, spergs and weebs everywhere. At least a couple punk / indie lookin kids here and there do OK.
I dunno what part of campus you walk through, but it's bad.
Also, all the chicks who look half decent dress horribly by wearing those stupid knee high leather boots like that one pic.
Girls are yoga pants and sweatshirts for the most part. Guys are usually either southern prep or look like they don't give a shit.
Update on trip: went to arc'teryx and totokaelo. Both were fantastic and more than I expected. Got to see and feel most of the current Veilance line. Holy shit everything was so light, no holes or imperfections anywhere. The down jackets were packed perfectly and evenly. Totokaelo was definitely my favorite though. It was fantastic to finally be able to see and feel everything I've been looking at forever in person. So many amazing designers tones of Rick, Dries, MMM, Junya/CDG. Also some Jil, Ann D Yohji. The Jil and Dries knits were the most impressive pieces out of everything there the mohair and wool they used was so thick and soft but still the attention to detail was still there in full effect. I had never really liked Ricks shoes as much as most people but seeing them in person they seemed less clowny and oversized. There was many other popular shoes including some last season Rafdidas. I was honestly really blown away the girl there was really nice and the store itself was beautiful. I fucking love this city.
