F/W COMING UP
y? doc is a reliable good brand for a pretty reasonable price. You sound like a real pretentious fuck
What do you guys think of these?
Thinking bout copping.
Please recommend chelsea boots, preferably in black. Also, buying if you have a pair.
these are my favorite shoes right now
recs on other chukkas or similar boots?
nicer than casual, but really dressy
>not getting into the new 60´s revival chic
>not geting into slim layered garments
>still wearing old fashioned outplayed boots
nigga u pleb as fuck
SLP or go home, mostly other brands are chunky or arent slim as necesary to work out
or just search really hard for them, i found a pair that fits snuggy and slim in my local mall
I have these ones. Tips on how to wear them? cuffed jeans?
Is is ok to tuck in the pants into the boots a bit?
these, cause i'm poor right now
don't buy $100 boots. shell out for some rmws mto
>still in normcore outplayed by now
>not doing revivals with new interesting turns
damn son, get your jncos outta here
when i was talking about layered garments i wasnt saying garment over garment, i was talking about cuts over cuts in the same garment
fuck, and Raffie is pretty popular here but niggas dont know shit about him
you just described /fa/ from 2008-2011
its honestly pretty cute how clueless you are
all of these contemporary boot styles are older than anyone posting on this board, they WILL all work in a given ~fashionable~ fit. just because you learnt who jil sander was like 2 weeks ago does not mean that chelseas are shit because all you wanna wear is fucking carhartt and norse projects.
people are so fucking closed minded, fashion is about exploring, not wearing the same fucking thing every day.
these premiums are probably better quality but I think the basic waterproof 6in ones look a little better.
Deciding between black and dark brown on these.
that entire fit is dior, or nearly so
we may now look back on old /fa/ with derision, but shineon was no slouch when it came to spending the big $$$
not my style but better than what you have, the stitching ist that tacky and the sole is slimmer and more coherent than the sporty one your boots have and kind of the same aesthetics overall
have you never had friends.
they're at a stage where they are comfortable in their clothing. they don't ask w2c, or should I cop?? they buy what they like unlike us fuccbois and so they just chill with each other instead of being superficial dumbasses
Just copped, alright?
Got them for $75 on sale from $175
About ready to drop some money on these. I almost feel bad about spending 500 bones on work boots that I probably won't want to work in because they'll be so nice. White's Smoke Jumpers.
Can anybody rec any good olive drab duck boots around like 200 USD? The af1 ducks aren't coming back and I wanna cry
I also have zero waterproof stuff if anybody's got good Reqs for water
proof outerwear, preferably not too heavy
How bout these?
whats more was that he was considered the best dressed person on /fa/ back then in 2008
everyones head was so much up hedis asshole that everyone who wore tight pants and pointy shoes was hailed as a fashion god. i wish i had more pictures saved from back then. i remember this one picture of this guys waywt in winklepickers and a blue cardigan that got reposted in inspo threads almost daily
I lived in Brazil, so I have no clue about boots. Now I'm in Sweden and winter is coming. What's a good and not so expensive solution for this? May only last one winter here in Sweden, so I'd like to keep it simple.
>Change pants to black
>hem them too you manlet
>Swich belt to non braided, silver buckle, buckle size is alright, personally prefer smaller, keep it square
>that shirt looks terrible, go plain white, no pocket bullshit
>switch tie to super slim black tie (could even go with a silver clip if you have that swag)
>switch jacket to knee length black or waist length biker jacket
so basically this fit would be alright if it wasn't this fit
i suppose ill do a dump
his shoes are gay as fuck too. the fit sucks cock.
Also can anyone id these?
Saw them in a thread before it 404'd onl pic that I know of
>Nice shoes, man.
>I love those shoes!
>Just wanted say that you look really great
>LOOK AT THIS MOTHERFUCKER!
>Just wanted to say that your jacket is finely cut
>He looks like James Bond
>I love your heels
>I need shoes like that!
thank you hedi(tom ford)
>yfw you realise most people are plebains and know nothing about fashion.
>yfw you realize no one will ever like you
your shoes suck, their too pointy, and the brogue looks shit.
your wearing super skinny jeans.
your a manlet and tiny as fuck
YOU POPPED YOUR COLLAR
you buttoned the top button
your shirt is cheap and has 2 pockets
your using a shit digital camera
your hands are off portions
your belt buckle is to large, your using a knitted belt
>pea coats, really..
your room is a mess, your tie makes you look like a wanna be jonas brother, and its cheap, you can tell because you didnt tuck it into the slide on the back. so its either that or your retarded.
oh and you have an OLD ass computer, you still live at home and are probably a high schooler.
>kill yourself fagget
woah, i never said i dressed like that. i just respect heritage and moc toe boots.
Should I go with brown or black, /fa/? I'd rather get the one that goes with more fits. Would the black look weird while wearing black jeans or chinos?
I honestly think these are the goat and there's a pair on sufu rn
>tfw people are literally too afraid to compliment strangers on the street
damn, i wish i could get compliments everyday, i need to meet new people and wait three days or so to get compliments from them
They have the same sole, the bit between the crepe and the leather is basically a sponge. I fucking love how they look, but my CDBs are crapping out on me less than two years after purchase
I chop down trees as part of my job. Not so much chop as cut with a chainsaw. I can tell you that most of the boots in this thread are not working boots and I'd never wear them on the job.
I love the idea of a 100% leather, customizable work boot... but that fucking heel. I'll drop the cash on pair of Nick's (not White's since they got bought out recently) when they develop a good low-arch/low-heel last.
Alternatives to OSB oxford? I don't like the finish. Viberg derbies are cool but hard to come by
You could do a custom pair through Nick's.
What do you guys think of these Danners? I'm looking for a good pair of winter boots, and these are miraculously in my size at Sierra Trading Post.
Get them. My favorite boots by far. They are a bitch to break in though.
Took this pic while on a hike today.
man I've wanted these forever
i dunno if they still make em
>wishing you could get SLP Chelsea boots
>can't afford dropping over a grand for anything at the current moment
Thanks for walking out on my family, dad.
definitely wouldn't rely on them, though i've never been to sweden. they're unlined and not very water particularly so they wouldn't be great for doing anything besides brief walks on cleared paths.
Are these worth $500, or can I do better for that aount?
They are from The Last Conspiracy
/fa/ are you offended by these recent cops.
I know they're basic but I always find out something shitty about my purchases from y'all after I make them.
Wolverine 1000 mile rockfords
I copped them last night after noticing that STP had a 35%-off deal going on.
>mfw Danners for $150
I'm not generally a fan of Wolverine, but you could have done worse. Those look like a nice, basic unlined boot. What kind of footbed do they have?
imo "fashion" boots are almost always overpriced for what you get. Look for them on sale or second-hand.
Holy shit stop tripping
Hedi has been garbage since mid 2000s, I mean it's like wow we get it Mr. SLIM-MAN you make real skinny clothing for people with weird legs now think of a new idea jaysus.
You know why he always looks so worried in his photos? Because he's constantly afraid that everyone will realise what a hack he is.
Ok guys I need some good advice.
Autumn is at my doorstep and it gets real wet in both the autumn and winters in my country.
I've considered buying some decent boots, but I want a pair for both casual and business wear.
So something waterproof that fits with both a jeans and with a suit.
can anyone recommend a place to get a good pair of actual winter boots for someone with baby tier feet? size us 6 lel
most boots are complete shit for winter as their soles arent made of composites that dont fucking freeze below -5
Allen Edmonds Dalton Boot
>Sierra Trading Post
>looking for boots in my size
man what the fuck these are next level
You're going to have a very hard time finding a truly waterproof boot that will work with jeans and a suit.
I would suggest you buy a pair of good waterproof boots for casual/outdoors use, and a dressier pair with a rubber sole for business use.
worth it? or are there better alternatives? (i especially like the zipper in the back)
these look a lot like them and are made in italy, the brand is known for shamelessly ripping off other peoples designs tho
I just got a pair in dark brown. I think the chili calf is a little bit loud but whatever floats your boat. Maybe go for the bourbon if you like your boots to be a little more noticeable without looking ridiculous.
I'm looking to buy these boots and then replace the sole with a black vibram sole.
Should cost me around $100. Is that a good deal? I sincerely doubt I can get canadian boots in Australia military surplus.
Also, do cobblers carry vibram soles typically?
I'd order a pair right now, if they didn't have a steel toe. Cop if that doesn't bother you.
Any cobbler who does Goodyear welts probably has Vibram soles, or at least is able to order some.
What is undesirable about the steel toe?
pic related, with vibram sole
Where do you think you are? Kindergarten? If you want o be a successful artist or designer you must learn to take critiques and insults to improve yourself, that's why I prefer to get criticisms than compliments
i copped these and switched out the laces for brown ones
copped these last winter.. not sure if fa approved tho
I just got the Mayhem #1's from the last conspiracy, the quality is awesome, best shoe I have probably. I'm glad i read the listing on farfetch that said to size up a half size, because I normally wear a US 11.5, and I got the size 45's which are well fitting to snug on me. That sizing thing might just be particular to the type of shoe I got though.
they're black boots mate, seeing them in a fit isn't going to change much. However they're fucking perfect, but I just don't think I could justify dropping £350+ on a pair of boots.
which of these boot color choices should i get? I already have some Clark DBs in beeswax but i love all of these choices,. Suggestions?
Bought them a month ago. Finally the weather to wear em.
Which do I cop? I'm looking for a suede chelsea boot I can wear in formal occasions. I like the look of the first ones, but I'm not sure about the toebox. Does anyone have experience with shoes like that, do they look ridiculous? The second ones are obviously the safest option, but I don't really like the look of them. I just found the third ones and I kind of like them, thoughts?
I have a pair of polished black boots and questions about maintaining them so they last as long as possible. I have read conflicting information on the internet and I'd like to know if anyone here can set me straight.
Is this the place for the question, or should I head over to /diy/?
Conditioner every 3-4 wears. Saphir renovateur or AE cleaner/conditioner. Use an old cotton undershirt.
Follow condition by a polish and shine every 20 wears. Clean and condition with shoe trees on, wait 24 hours, use undershirt to apply polish lightly, wait to dry, buff with a horsehair brush
Shoe trees all the time, NO EXCEPTIONS
48 hours between wearings, unless they get wet in which case, longer
Never let them touch salt
That pretty much applies to all shoes, btw
What exactly does the shoe tree do?
Why 48 hours between wearings?
What if salt is unavoidable in my given environment?
I just wanted a pair of boots for daily wear. Will not leaving them sit for 48 hours with shoe trees just reduce the lifespan? If so, by how much?
Is Kiwi polish decent, or should I find something else?
And here I thought these were supposed to be indestructible
>What exactly does the shoe tree do?
It keeps them in roughly the same shape as your foot, so when the moisture from your feet evaporates, the leather dries in the correct shape. This puts less stress on them when you put them back on since the "natural" shape is the shape of your foot.
>Why 48 hours between wearings?
Leather needs to dry
>What if salt is unavoidable in my given environment?
Then you accept a shorter service life, or you put those gay rubber things over them. Hopefully, you bought ones with rubber soles and not leather.
>I just wanted a pair of boots for daily wear. Will not leaving them sit for 48 hours with shoe trees just reduce the lifespan? If so, by how much?
Yes. You'd probably get 4-5 years out of them if you aren't totally abusing them. Subtract a little if they get wet often.
>Is Kiwi polish decent, or should I find something else?
It's fine. Some people get snobby about their polish but with the situation you described, the brand of shoe polish isn't going to make a difference.
These boots do have rubber soles, yes.
I happen to have a redwing "peet dryer". I have read that heat is bad for leather, but the box states it's safe to use with leather. Will this go a ways towards preserving my boots by drying them out in a <48 hour period, or just deform them from lack of trees and mild heat?
Thank you for all your advice.
4-5 years will still be a far sight better than the 1.5 my last pair of similarly priced tennis boots lasted.
broe just gave me some nike boots. they're pretty worn. what you think
they say made in italy on them
just bought these about a week ago, they're really great.
that's a false tongue you fucking plebeian, and not only do i like the look of it on the boots but it serves an important purpose if you're wearing your boots like 250 hours a week. it's there to protect your real tongue from getting holes in it, so you don't need to buy a new pair of boots after 3 months of wear.
I have exactly what you're talking about and the leather is pretty legit, boot is very heavy though, especially with the heavier sole.
cop or not?
need something not too expensive that can get snowy/slushy this winter.
i have a pair of desert malis and although I suppose the design is alright, they're my least favorite of the shoes I own by far. they've held up for a while but they feel insubstantial. they don't support or warm my feet at all. you can easily bend the soles and the uppers just w your hand plus I think the leather looks pretty mediocre in person.
I hear Steve Madden boots are pretty terrible quality, but i LOVE how this boot looks.
It is truly the perfect boot to me, so does anyone know of anything very similar looking?
Can't find these in my size anywhere anyways.
They're called the troopaxl by the way.
DO NOT FUCKING DO IT! I only buy Steve Madden at the end of the season when it's super discounted because all of my shoes from there have literally fallen apart. KEEP LOOKING FOR A SIMILAR LOOK.
Yeah, just looking for something for this fall/winter, if they don't last I don't really mind, I would just buy something possibly nicer the next year.
I am just absolutely in love with this style.
jesus christ these fake kvas
they're actually john varvatos from a few seasons ago, but only the brown are still for sale anywhere as far as I can tell
undercover is always making boots like these but they're always taller and have some stupid buckles or a joy division quote on the back or something
