oxford/derby is UK terminology.

balmoral/blucher is US terminology. in the US, an oxford is any lace-up shoe.

"traditional" (meaning: English) makers tend to use UK terminology. American boot manufacturers use US terminology.

But I copped a pair for £30 from the 1980's and after a polish they look pretty much new except for a couple creases. Really pleased with them. Super comfy as well.

While Balmorals may be called "Oxfords", both Derbies and Balmorals are ""types"" of oxfords. An oxford is simply any form of laced shoe. This is why certain sneakers may be referred to as oxfords, such as Converse's Core Ox and Sperry's Striper CVO (which stands for Circular Vamp Oxford).

I have them but with a medallion on the toe and a different outsole. they're nice boots, don't pay full price for them though. I got mine around 300

they fit one size large and they're a little tight through the instep (I have a high instep so mine laced up a little oddly at first)

they are a f/w thing so there are none around right now but they may well bring them back for the next season.
