I just remembered I have 2 of these printed canvas paintings (pic related) - the first was slightly damaged at the corner or something so I got a new one for free and it's been laying in my basement for months.

Could I just cut out a part of it, I guess the part with the face, and sew it onto a jacket as a back patch? I'm thinking about a black denim jacket. I know Innerdecay sells backpatches of this painting but I don't feel like paying the price when I can get it for free. I'm just not sure if it's gonna work.

A lot of the process was trial and error for me, so I'm definitely not saying this is the right way to do it, but it worked.

Here's another patch I made! Still have a shit ton of thread left. This time I folded the edges down and then fastened them which made them a lot smoother than the first. Now what should I make?

What does this competition entail?

I should be doing a release of 5 random patches next Wednesday/Friday. The release will only have 1 or 2 of each patch for that launch. I'm still deciding which ones to drop.

The main competition is riding around on a closed course with checkpoints picking things up at one and dropping them off at another "simulating" a real work day.

When I was in 6th grade I bought a black Walmart hoodie and put a big ass Misfits skull on the front of it.I liked that hoodie a lot. I use to like a lot of mediocre things.

For the most part it held up. I still have it actually, but it doesn't fit me anymore. The patch is coming off a bit. I'm guessing that happened from the last time I washed it. I guess I decided to cut the sleeves off at some point because I thought it was cool or something.

I did it in 6th grade, so maybe that could give you an idea of what to think about it? I wouldn't sew any patch onto a hoodie now, or anything for that matter. Keep in mind this Misfits patch was like 7 inches tall and covered the majority of the front of the hoodie.

Something small on the lapel wouldn't look half bad in my opinion. Don't overdue it, I guess.

I threw this crying Kim patch on the back of a blush h&m hoodie I had.

I put it on iron-on interfacing and sewed it on after that. It's held up really well for the 4 months I've had it.

I'm this noob and I was wanting to do a Nick Cave patch too so I was wondering if this design would be too complicated for hand embroidery. Does anyone have more experience and could offer any advice? I'm worried about the large black spaces in the shoulders and hair. Will a satin stitch work for this? Or is there a better way to fill it in?

I might be biting off more than I can chew with this one.

I just got a mail that I'll receive a package from my patch supplier tomorrow. Likely it will be these bad boys.
