So the leather jacket has lost all its meaning and form. From a norm-breaking item that represented individualism, freedom and youth the leather jacket has devolved into purely a fashion item, just another piece in every teenage girls wardrobe, and 99% of those who wear it have no sense of what it used to mean. Pure sheep mentality. It makes me sad and makes me not want to wear mine. Does anyone else feel this way?
If you werent such a pleb you would be able to make it interesting

Why. The item has no value anymore. "Make it interesting" how? There is no original way of wearing it anymore. Even the old badass styles have been ruined by normcore.

Just buy a harrington jacket, mate. Double Riders are, as you said, pretty much dead these days.

it needs time
people watch Sons of Anarchy and hipster shit on HBO incessantly; and everybody is wearing leather jackets on those shows
>>10933184
Well maybe if you didn't buy the most basic jackets you could find in every store at the mall then you could do something interesting with it
Think outside the box familia

this guy probably bought this TOJ or w/e that new brand is now jacket and thinks he's badass because 300 other virgins on styleforum told him he is

You might be right. It happened in the 60's after everyone wore them in the 50's so we'll see. I think I'll keep wearing mine for now, just had a little sperg after realizing that every single teenager wears one now.

it's like that episode of south park where they all go from being inner-city gangsters (not shown) to normal to metrosexual to chicano
some people hold on to a style but most hop from trend to trend

Nothing means anything anymore in this age of irony and sarcasm
EXCEPT white supremacism, ironically
