Parka or topcoat. Peacoats aren't bad if it fits properly and you don't live in a 1million+ city.

thick bomber
If you're not ugly you could get a polo coat

All those names at the bottom...

Or just a camel hair topcoat would work too

polo coat or greatcoat are good go-to options - I like them to hit at the knee or just above. Any shorter and you risk looking emanciated

They are okay, as long as it isnt
>Pea coat
>Denim
>Brown leather boots

I feel like polo coats and overcoats are too fancy for jeans wear.
I got a j crew car coat
I think it's v cool much better than a pea coat
Chesterfields are p cool too IMO

They're normal if that's what you mean by overplayed.
If you're gonna wear a pea coat dont buy a cheap one and ugly one like in your pic. And dont fall for the trappings of denim and shit browns.
Stick to dressier pants or khaki colored chinos.

Scrap jeans altogether?

my friend has a mottled dark grey topcoat from the 1960s that he wears over dark jeans and it looks pretty good desu

>don't wear a combination that works
Op likely lives in a bumfuck flyover state capital, not Manhattan. Peacoats would be the epitome of men's fashion.

You always could get some chinos or wool trousers
Tbh I think a polo coat would look fine with a pair of black jeans though, if it's not too long

The best option is always to go vintage and THEN have it tailored if need be. This goes doubly for peacoats and trench coats because they look a little more tailored.
