this guy is saying this because converse are fine, but criticisms you made are ones of someone that doesn't want casual sneakers, but instead boots.
if they need to be more durable just get a pair of leather converse. also the new editions of converse are supposed to have arch support now. if you just dont like the looks of converse then thats different though

New Balance are all good shoes for daily wear if you're talking about comfort. Some also look good as well. Pick literally any model

chunky sneakers like NB 999, or Asics gel-lyte. You can go for the flashy colorways, or the simpler ones depending on you are preferences. There are even some really rad collabs. Diadora and Saucony make nice chunky sneakers too. Additionally, if you are manlet they give you a little height boost.
