i do both but neither is entirely superior to the other

ive never heard of someone cuffing their pants and rolling it inwards. that seems like it would be awkward and uncomfortable

its the same principle as normal cuffing, except you do it inwards. if the fabric is light and thin, it might have difficulty holding, but otherwise its about as stable as normal cuffing. you might want to consider doing this with your latest fit, as it gives the appearance of shortened pants without the danger of unsightly looking cuffs

im not that guy, but i buy pants with the appropriate break and then roll them to show a little ankle if its hot or to my boots if im wearing boots. i cuff when i specifically want a cuff, not because my pants dont fit, so hemming them would make them less wearable imo

aside from the fact that hemming costs money/time, sometimes the structure of the pants makes a too short hem look odd. also as someone who has all their pants hemmed, i know i definitely prefer the versatility that cuffing provides

I recently bought a pair of 501ct they pinroll alright. I wish they were a little slimmer in the calves tho
