With spring on its way, I think it's about time we had a switch-a-round. Should we start swapping out our Jeans for trousers?
Post inspo and opinions.
I'm actually going the other way, never got into denim, and I'm gonna start giving it a go.
Also, corduroy gets slept on too much. It's mad comfy and looks great.
yeah but not those, they must be a bit tapered to be cohesive with the aesthetic of what made jeans popular, maybe slimfit-borderline-skinny chinos in darks and very pale colours will work, wool trousers will work too.
Do you have any pics for inspo? I'd love to know more man, I've been wearing denim forever so much so that I don't know what to look out for in a good pair of cotton/wool trousers.
nah, most of my ideas and posts here are abstract ideas i have based on what i´ve seen and learnt in my experiences with fabrics and what ivé seen in fashion shows videos, you know, to be creative and original, i guess you can find something like that in Acne lookbooks, but just in terms of fabrics, maybe some Dior Homme for garment constructions, but only the collections from 2015 to 2016
I just bought myself a Stutterheim raincoat in dark green, and I'm wondering what material trousers would suit/compliment the waxed cotton. I was eyeing up some of the Acne trousers, but I'm not sure how well that almost 'glossy'(?) material fits the jacket.
dark grey wool trousers or cotton chinos in a structured wool look are incredible cool. I never know where to get them here in Europe, though, especially in slim fit. Ideas?
Yeah, I have a very muted colour palette and I am going for a "'vintage"' look, so olive-green, burgundy or even very light-grey / natural knits. Shirts can work, too. Especially white ones, if you are into that. I certainly dig it.
Just need the fucking trousers now
ASOS own band fit surprisingly well and look alright. I've got a few pairs and have had them through the wash a ton of times without any problems. for £18 a pop you can't really bitch
wool or tweed like fabrics would work perfectly because it would give a contrast in textures withouth being too contrasting, you feel me? just the right amount, ofc denim would work too but we´re focusing on stop using denim
maybe corduroy but it would look more americana and i´m personally not into that
i was thinking of making myself some skinny like wool trousers with some wool fabric i have laying around but now that you say that it makes sense that wool trousers are slimfit
Would thoroughly recommend Universal Works for wool trews. I'm wearing the Aston pants in this fit and they are the comfiest trousers I've ever owned.
They're slightly tapered just enough so they follow the shape of your leg but still have enough room for unhindered movement. They cuff really well but they if you want to wear them full length then they pool nicely.
They're also warm as fuck, seriously, I never noticed how cold my legs got until I started wearing these out.
A good pair of trousers i can personally recommend is the Sartourial Leisure by Oscar Jacobsen
Still two years ahead of where I live.
The flannel-beard-n-craftbeer shit just caught on with whitey, and the cool kids just learned what bomber jackets are
Rochester's a pretentious yet out-of-touch shithole
w2c cotton chinos?
It's from a wholesaler called Kapre who usually only sells direct to stockists but I had a thing with them last year where I could buy one. They don't seem to carry this design anymore, sorry. You can look at their website for other designs and contact them to find out where they're stocked though.
Copped these. I love how they bloat and then tighten, as well as how they're cropped. Looking forward to when the weathers warmer so I can combo these with a CDG tee and my rafs.
>When you lift heavy and these will fit like normal trousers
These are quite nice.
Damir Doma / Pistis. 30% off at l'exception.
This is honestly one of my favorite fits with trousers.
yes sure but better wear sneaker, so the trousers are the only piece that is more "classy"
with better leather shoes a t-shirt will look strange
also a jeans jacket is working great
>buy wool pants
>wool being perfect for warmth
>wear them 4 inches too short and get chilly ankles
Got black Aros slim chinos from Norse Projects. Do they look okay with jacket? Going to hem them to no break to wear with black derbies and white leather sneakers.
nah, i live in a very cold city, denim is warmer than any other comercial trouser fabric, you know, like popeline or cotton cloth, also, its very durable and thick enough to insulate and protect my skin from the urban elements like retarded people who like to spill everything or when i have to slip trough people who take the whole sidewalk
i´ve been thinking on wool but its more expensive than denim
Seriously how the fuck do I pull off trousers casually, the only time I can seem to get trousers to work is in smart casual attire for formal events, like with button up top tucked in with dress shoes
doesn't have to be a bomber
just wear everything else you would wear in an every day outfit where you would have on jeans, just wear the trousers
best cut for trousers is slim fit, so going for a bit boxier tee would be great for the top
>wear white tie and tails to job interview
>interviewer asks about fred astaire
>orchestral music starts playing out of nowhere
>suddenly starts tap-dance routine and asks you to join
feels good man, fred astaire had some nice pants too
