Truly, I should be thanking you, anons. I've been with /e/ since 2006 (under Anonymous of course) and just loved the great erotic illustrations I saw and thus my love for/e/, but I wouldn't be until years later that I could finally repay my immense gratitude for this imageboard. It's truly been fun contributing for you anons and it's a little sad that I'm bringing this series and my posting to an end, but it'll be alright. This board was /e/ before I got here, and it will still be /e/ after I'm gone.

Short version:
I just feel that now is the right time to bring this part of my life to an end.

Long version:
Hmm... it's been almost 20 years now. I was in middle school, Netscape was the dominant web browser, and the Dreamcast had just been launched. One day at school during lunch when I was using the computer, curiosity got the better of me and I stumbled upon this KOF fansite. As I scrolled down, I saw some nude character sprite edits and erotic doujin covers (most of them by Saigado, like the one pictured here). Already having a love for anime and video games and having been exposed to porn, this opened up a world for me as I saw the best two things I liked come together as one. And thus my little fragile mind had been warped and my love for hentai(and of course ecchi) had come into existence.

Since then, I would spend whatever free time I had looking and browsing for any hentai pics I could find. Hell, I remember when I almost spend a whole night browsing for it at one of my cousin's house. Yeah, I was hooked. And of course I started looking in other media for any other ecchi stuff I could find. Examples that come to mind would be that topless scene from the Geobreeders OVA and that Kasumi drawing in the Official Dreamcast Magazine (of course, the staff couldn't show the full version even though they wanted to, lest they be fired), and of course the self-spanking win pose Ayame from Power Stone does where you get a nice view of her panties if you adjust the camera right. Since then, I've been looking around and seeing what types of pics I liked and saved them into floppy disks (since I didn't have any rewriteable CDs nor did I afford or know how to use them) for personal use. Of course, since 4chan hadn't existed yet or knew anything of HTML, I couldn't share them with people on the net who would like them as I did. And that just sucked.

Then come my senior year of high school, I found this very site. As I looked around the various boards, I came across this one. To see this very imageboard, which had everything I loved and seeing people sharing pics and engaging in discussing them and other topics... it was a dream come true. However, as I may have stated before, it wouldn't be until 2006 that I became fully involved with /e/ when I posted my first thread. It was a Morrigan thread (with this pic being among the first ones I'vs posted ever on 4chan) and it actually took off quite well. I got praise and sauce requests, which I happy to receive. From then on, like some anons who've ever been on/e/, contributing here had become a favorite hobby of mine.; it was essentially wish-fulfillment.

Then a couple of years later, I decided to start of series of threads UT similar to this one. Most anons here remember them as Random Ecchi Image (or R.E.I.) threads. It started off good, but due to real life issues, I couldn't maintain them regularly, so I let them die. That and old threads were still being deleted automatically back then. But with the years of putting my lurking experience to good use and refining my standards of what high quality pics I liked, I contributed what I could, which made me happy.

But as time moved on, I started to gain new priorities and commitments that just can't be ignored and came to realize that as much as love all things ecchi, it just couldn't be a huge part of my life anymore. And as you can probably tell by the inconsistent posting times, I started to grow out of it. But that's when the idea hit me; before I go, why not repay the board I loved so much with one of my biggest contributions ever? And rest is history.

Seriously, I never imagined these threads would go on as long as they did, but I'm satisfied all the same. Again, this very imageboard was a dream come true for me, and I sincerely thank you all the more for your support.
