There is a couple of mind-blowing sexy MMD dances, but 90% of MMD dances are a terrible jittery mess. And when you do find a good MMD it ends up getting deleted or taken down.

I see that there's a way of sorting "top-rated" and "recommended" on trollvids but I get an error message when I see them (and trollvids is an incredibly laggy website that's slow and hard to navigate).

I tried downloading something like a 50gig torrent of MMDs, but sorting through the crap was completely impossible and I ended up not finding a single video worth watching.

Is there like a torrent of top-50 sexy MMD dances? And if not, can we make one?

Decided to make a custom 3dcg njxa model and convert it to mmd. The problem is - the njxa default hair color is black, so it's needed to use tahhair program to add custom colors. But the .tah file generated by tahhair is causing the crash on startup of 3dcg. Any solution for this?

I need to know what kind of categories you all would want to see on the new version of trollvids. Keep in mind that these are just basic categories, and are not meant to be as specific as tags can be.

Good examples are of course things like Touhou and KanColle.

And since we are also adding a forums section, I'd also like to know what kind of specific forum areas people have interest in. We already have a designated place for tutorials and various administrative/support related needs. We are going to have sections based on language, and each of these should have the same general forum subjects under them.

A no-brainer example is a General Discussion forum, since this is just normal to have. But what else do we want/need?

And to address something I saw come up in the past: We are in no way banning loli content (why would I ban something I like?), but I DO need to keep my bases covered in case something happens, which is why that offensive content checkbox was added. As of right now it does not do anything noticeable, but we put it there in case of emergencies. Because let's face it, that stuff is just bad news for many countries.

Believe me, this has been haunting me forever now. I've recently had some outside help to figure out what the actual problem is, and it turns out the main issue is disk overload.
Our new site should reduce disk load, and if it is still not good enough then it will be our main priority. We can't afford top-end servers at this time so we have to research and come up with tricks to help out with the problem.

Please understand that it isn't just cases that I mentioned above. I've already had one incident where I was forced to hide all loli content, and it was a bit of a pain to have to go and search them all down. But this was early on in the site's life, and that network is no longer used.

There is no reason to complain about this either. Nothing is being censored, and it doesn't hurt anyone to check a box. Worse case, this function would be used to temporarily hide the videos from guest visitors when I need to get approval for something that was denied because of them.

It was considered, but when all things were taken into consideration, we stuck with the module already made for our website. It is built into the core of the site and does not require separate registration. phpbb's drupal integration was not only outdated and unmaintained, but it would also need to be implemented separately. If a better option comes around at some point, we can make a transition.

The forum itself was not intended to be and never will be the main focus of the website, so adding all those unnecessary things a dedicated forum software brings is just added stress to the server.

An easier way to identify good content. The issue with a "top rated of all time" sorting option is that it overweights new things that have 5 stars instead of things that have withstood the test of time.

A much better system is to use "most favorites." Ideally I would like to see "most favorites" of a particular tag (like ero dancing) of last month. And then I'd like a way of favoriting it so that I have easy access to it in some favorites list in the future.

Additionally, idk how much experience with recommendation systems, but I'd suggest using a more modern setup for it to decide what videos are "related" and are suggested to the user.

If videos are tagged correctly, and the search method supports the tags (e.g. includes this set of tags, excludes this set of tags), it seems like the categories could be easily expandable.

That said, some things I would like to be able to search on are:
- number of models in a video (1 girl, 2 girls, 1 girl + 1 guy, etc)
- character (sometimes this is included in the video title, but it's not consistent)
- song/dance name (ditto)

and then general categories like these:
- stripping (real stripping, not fading bullshit)
- nopan
- masterbation
- sex
- fading clothes (so I could exclude it from my searches)

First guy here. I figured as much about them being still shitty quality. I'm checking the files now, here is what I see:
mai folder:
楽しい牧場 - 4mb vs 15mb, 360p vs 720p
めがねちゃん - 2mb vs 9mb
咲夜さんとえっち - same 45mb (just flv vs mp4, slightly different size but bytestream is same)
長門さん - 2mb vs 7mb
カスタムで動画 - same 2mb
素人AV風な - 7mb vs 31mb

Differences in other files look similar. There are some videos that were already in FLV though, like 清楚系ツインっ娘の誘惑 - too bad I wasn't aware, it's 670mb and fc2 premim guy could just skip it.

So fc2 don't really give good options:
- if video uploaded is not .flv, it gets recoded into mp4. Free users can download LQ version and premium users can get SD quality. That's what "HQ" means here, sadly. From what I see, it's 720p 30fps max.
- if video uploaded is .flv, nobody needs premium since it can be downloaded in HD/HQ for free. Any resolution, 60fps possible.

About "premium only" videos you are talking about - apparently most of those either come from scammers who even upload someone else's videos, or are just bad.

- Like I said here, try to pay attention to .flv extensions. If it's named .flv on server side, you likely don't need to waste your time on it - it can be downloaded without premium by anyone.

The easiest way would be to create a .bat file with a few lines, 1 link per line. But I'll leave it to people who design OPs. Truth is, with only a couple of tricks I've added the "Download that movie" in the right-mouse menu of my browser, so I'm downloading videos from fc2/nico without even opening their pages or using copy/paste. This shit is legit fun. Monitors and chairs will be alright if you need a break, but in a few years the VR headsets will be so good, it won't even feel like you're wearing anything. I feel kinda bad for anyone who is going to miss a few years of it because they think it's some kind of gimmick. I guess I shouldn't care about others, especially jaded individuals, but damn man. You could die in the next 2 years while you're waiting for the next version of VR and never get to try it in your entire life. Life is about living, TODAY is your life. You still can't argue the fact that there are no real ( =good) games at launch, and the price will go down and the tech will improve in a year or two. Rift isn't even launching with its controllers, and there's no open MRS solution yet.

look, I fucking love VR. I love the idea of VR and I love what we can do with VR.
I really really want VR to become consumer-level products.

But as it stands right now it's in no way a worthwhile investment at the prices they're asking for, when you look at the content that currently exists for it.

The price also absolutely limits the amount of content that will be made in the future for it.
Why would someone make VR content, if they can't afford the 600$ themselves? It limits the hell out of the amount of shit people will be making with it, which is VERY concerning.
Independent Artists will most likely not be able to afford the device, and will probably not bother with it because they don't have 600$ to drop.
The best that's going to happen is probably a setting in mainstream games that allows for VR. No small artist shit. Minimal MMD animations, if any.

It's way too much of an investment for someone who doesn't want to spend 600$ on a promise of future content.

Not to mention that if it does actually become the next big whatever, and starts to compete with actual monitors, the price will most likely drop to meet growing demand.
When that happens, and it stops being an enthusiast level device, and becomes a consumer level device, then and only then will I buy into VR.
But there's no point for someone like me to buy something like that when it costs half a month of fucking rent.

For the Vive anyway, not sure about the Rift. It's more of a sitting thing, and doesn't really interest me since I want to move around. Yeah, Rift isn't launching with anything but an xbox controller, which is another reason I avoided it and went for the Vive. I'm probably a bit different though, because I'm not buying VR headset for gaming really. I'm buying it for experiences, meditation, board game type things, interactivity with avatars, watching movies, messing around in a VR space with my desktop, watching porn, porn, porn mocumocudance, meditation and relaxation, things like the WWE fights where you can be in the crowd watching the match and feeling like you're really there. I have many different reasons I want a headset right now, but most of it isn't gaming related. So for hardcore gamers who only want VR for gaming and nothing else, I would say it's probably better to wait. That's not me though.

Yeah, if you don't have money it's obviously not a smart decision to buy in. Rift is selling at a no profit point though, so basically just the cost of its parts. If you're going to wait for prices to drop, I don't know what exactly you're expecting here, but you're going to be waiting a while. Personally, I don't make a lot of money. In fact, I'm dirt poor. I had the sense to save up for months to buy a headset of my choice though, because we've known about them for a long time by now. I still hadn't decided, but now I'm sold and I have the money I stashed away to afford it. That said, it's definitely enthusiast level, and it will be for a while to come. I think you're wrong about the support though. Things like mocumocudance and such convince me of that. Don't underestimate what porn lovers will be able to accomplish, especially not the Japanese ones. I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans I can do with my headset in the next year or so. Also, I'm a Unity dev and 3D modeler, so that probably gives me a leg up content wise since I can make just about anything I want to for myself.

After that run it on your smartphone attached to google cardboard using VR video player.
