Has anyone got an idea for me of where I can find a jar-like container suitable for the following needs:
1. Not delicate (not like glass).
2. As near these measurements, but not lower than: 45mm opening, 150mm depth.
3. Strong sealing lid - so that the thin oil (Paraffin) I intend keep in it won't seep out.
4. Preferably transparent.

coke bottle? a little to deep?
old vasaleen tub, tooth paste tube if you clean it out well enough, not transparent though, you can buy plastic viles and plastic test tubes from ebay for dirt cheap, they have screw on lids... probably get 20 for like $10?

thanks for the comment; but those both sound too small, certainly the coke bottle. you might have mis-read the minimal measurements.
imagine a large jar (like those for pasta sauce or coffee grains); but with a very good sealing lid and not made of glass.
Lava Lamp bottle.
Look for a stronger glass ( thicker borosilicate glass)
Or use plastic

That's a jar, probably about 500mL, that will securely hold paraffin oil.
How about checking ebay/amazon/aliexpress for a polyethylene or polypropylene jar around 500mL?
Old peanutbutter jar?

Have you tried a wooden box? There are plenty with openings larger than 45mm.
