i think theyre slippery because the rubber in the sole is very hard to begin with and you use them in winter temps they lose all grippyness

I have to wear them for work when snow or ice present. I usually pair them with an old, broken in pair of boots. They will keep your feet warm and dry and the soles will not wear further when they are on.
