Would this buzzbox be suitable For building a go cart?
>>
Buzz box? No you'd benefit from a quality hum station. Or you could even look for a second hand gassy blow hole.

Jesus christ 20 amp sounds really really low, I'd check if there's youtube videos first.

At least try for a mig/flux core to save yourself ALOT of trouble.
>>
115-Volt / 20-Amp Stick Welder
Works with a standard 15 or 20 amp household outlet
Output range of 50-70 amps
Duty cycle of 10% at 70 amps
Dual heat setting - pre-set for 1/16-in or 5/64-in welding rods
Welds mild and stainless steel from 18-gauge to 1/8-in

the high end of those manufacturer specs are always bullshit so i would consider the max less than 1/8". if i was building a go-kart id probably be using more than 1/8 steel in certain spots so the answer would be no

The duty cycle is piss poor.

get quality metal and have someone tig you a frame
>>
>>923695
capable yes, suitable no.
it's a terrible quality welder.
and stick is the wrong process for thinwall tube with amateurish fitup.

buy a gas shielded mig.

I used a Lincoln 110v with flux core to make heavy repairs to a Manco frame. Stick welders, 220v tombstone, or why bother.
>>

You are much better off buying a cheap as fuck frame off craigslist.
You can get them for dirt cheap

I bought one for 30$, with wheels and a blown engine

naw man. maybe for some non critical shit like yard art but a go cart needs to be made very well. don't try experimenting on something so critical. seriously
