Why is it the term 'macro' has become distorted among furfag circles to mean 'giant fucking inflated tumor people'? I made a system once with fairly heavy /size/ themes. It wasn't omnipresent, though. It just had a few playable races of abnormal size such as fairies or giants. Slimegirls could pick an advancement option to gain size-changing powers, which, aside from stat-modifiers, allowed mermaids to swim in them to gain their bonuses for being in water. Alraune also had an advancement to become gigantic, but unlike slimes, they couldn't change back. Lastly, there was a bee monster girl race with a sexual dimorphism causing all the women to be twice the size of the men. The women sexually active enough to become queens would be four times the size of the other women, or eight times the size of the men. It's in a perfectly playable state. Just needs a few more ranged weapons and utility equipment, perhaps something akin to a monster manual for GMs that don't want to stat out their own foes. All the rules & mechanics are in place. It was somewhere over 100 pages last time I looked at it.

Try to maintain consistency of the established sizes you're working with. Never skimp on details, especially if you're writing from a smaller character's PoV.

I can't think of much else that doesn't just come down to personal preferences. For instance, I really hate seeing stuff where the girl is sadistic and brutal, but there isn't any explanation or internal justification on her part as to why she is behaving that way, though this partially comes down to setting, mostly in regards to stuff based in reality. Other annoying stuff would be unawareness to the point where there would have to be something seriously wrong with the eyesight/sense of touch of the girl not to notice the smaller character(s), depending on how small they are. Or stuff like tiny characters doing blatantly stupid things like climbing into food/drink/shoes with the impression that it's a good way to survive/get help, unless they're meant to be stupid or something.

A lot of it just comes down to how pedantic you want to be with details and how concerned with staying on track with 'realistic' or at least semi-believable human behavior is for you, assuming the characters you're working with are human at all.

One thing that does bother me with size stories is how dumb anyone that's shrunk tend to act though, like getting into shoes when the chances of getting killed is all but guaranteed or blatantly trying to get the attention of someone unaware in their direct path. It's maybe too obvious, but I think one of the most important things in a story is the descriptions, details and mood-setting. You really want to convey the scale and power difference as much as possible. Sights, sounds, smells, body heat, emotions, use whatever you can use to convey it. Like >>7381855 said, never skimp on these things.

Keep in mind that people are naturally aware of size differences and they'll behave differently around someone who's even just a foot taller than them. So even in a perfectly gentle scenario the tinies are going to be *very* intimidated and aren't going to be talking like equals unless they are in a SUPER comfortable and trusting relationship. They are going to be cautious and hyper-sensitive to the giant's emotional state, while the bigger one will tend to be the opposite.

If you account for this stuff a story can be very good even without a lot of murdershit although I like both. But details and interaction are of top importance no matter what.

Psychology and character motivation is very important, especially when writing from the giantess's perspective. Make sure you understand logical, emotional, or physical reasons for those motivations and express them directly (from the giantess's perspective) or indirectly (from her behavior as the tiny sees it) as best you can.
