i remember thinking it was funny that people started calling things "size", "giantess", because "giantess" was more of an ekas/giantessworld term not a /d/ term. and also "General" was a /v/ term also if i recall correctly.

i used to browse several boards and i specifically remember /d/ being that one board where it felt like everyone was a chill stoner that never had a reason to argue. nobody got mad. i think an issue is /size/ doesnt police itself, and back then the mods used to outright ban anyone involved in flamewars.

i haven't been to /v/ in a long time, in the summer of 2010 or so I used to browse it. I specifically remember a minecraft general where we were replying to Notch, who used to browse /v/

When /v/ flooded the size threads in the summer of 2010, that was when they used to call /v/ "b-lite". Every thread was a flamewar, it felt like browsing IGN forums or gamespot. it greatly diminished the quality of threads unfortunately, but also popularized them more.

so after a while I just started seeing these as a lite version of a /v/ size thread.

I think the single biggest difference between old /d/ threads and new ones is, like you can see now in this thread, if someone makes an inflammatory comment everyone has to reply. In old threads it was like trying to troll /jp/, you'd just get an "lol" at best, a report, then your post would be ignored in the mass amounts of people dumping.

I was surprised at how easy it suddenly became to troll /d/ threads. everyone used to be too busy fapping to care about bait!

This is Veronica, the main antagonist from the recently announced F2P mobile game Fire Emblem Heroes. She manipulates and summons other heroes from the past FE titles in an attempt to destroy the Kingdom of Askr.

The summon thing interests me, which is where the size stuff comes to play. What if the heroes she summons are tinier than they appear? I've been running some of Ochiko's enty stories through google TL, and have any of you guys noticed that over the last year or so that the program has gotten way better? It actually spits out legible sentences and things now. I even tried machine TLing ICECAT's recent giga couple book and it's possible to get a pretty alright understanding of what's going on with it.

Also on a sidenote, Ochiko just put up another giga elf/trap comic on his enty. fans of cute boys causing humanity's extinction rejoice

I've noticed it too and it's probably gonna keep getting better. I use it to translate the short stories artists attach to their works. In the past ~6 months or so I haven't seen an instance where I couldn't understand what's happening.

At some point I kind of want to try and fix up chiitrans so that it can take user API keys and that way google translate can work with it again. I'm kind of surprised nobody has done it already.

So I've been continuing Gaiden, and... its... unbelievably frustrating. It would be less so if it *weren't* complete shit, but as it is... its not bad, its just a poor excuse for a Shrink High sequel, but its not a bad size game. I just wanted to list out my opinions on this game because holy shit, there's... just an obscene amount of room for improvement (and also because I'm autistic), but it could've been great if it just did a few things differently. (Note, I am not done with it yet)

Pros:

At the point I'm in, they haven't had her do much besides a few really cute lines of dialogue, which is really disappointing, but its still great to see her in the game nonetheless

They have a lot of homages to a fair amount of the girls, and a decent amount of references in items, plot, and amusing lines and whatnot; not really any CGs though (like the track team running outside the beach and whatnot)

Not much to say here, nobody sounds particularly "bad", all the voices fit, are well executed, and sexy. Tetsuko's VA *could* do with sounding a bit less stiff (sometimes it sounded like she was reading from a script)

I suppose this counts as part of the "cool and interesting shit" but the amount of unique ones make this a separate category in my opinion: Narue quiz show minigame; Madame President sneak-by; Mia's mouth minigame; Narue's finger-crush sequence; Chijimina's climb (not much of a minigame but it showcases a really sexy CG)(Not even counting those other 3 'main events' because those were too expansive to be called 'minigames')

>Choices between interesting party members: Tetsuko and Mizuho are honestly great, and the fact that they have unique dialogue, and the fact that it *seems* like you can build affinities for what I presume are different endings involving your party members is honestly great

I'm keeping this a neutral because I'm a bit of a difficulty junkie, I don't think I'd have enjoyed this game as much if it were a cakewalk (but some of the events in the minigames were just dumb in terms of figuring out how to trigger certain parts within them)

I dunno how to describe this, but the plot is fucking weeeeeird man. Its a *bit* convoluted, but I can still enjoy it. The pacing makes it feel disjointed as heck, but at times it feels like it can move at a solid pace, a LOT can happen in a short amount of time, sometimes its awesome because of interesting developments and new party members, other times it feels dry as heck

>The game tries hard to have replay value
What I'm referring to this is the whole "different endings" thing which is almost guaranteed to be the case in this thing, along with the "affinity" thing I mentioned earlier for party members, along with the fact that the game changes fairly significantly if you choose Mizuho vs Tetsuko and vice-versa

Ochiko disappointed majorly here; I checked *far* too many girls to see if there was *something* unique or hot about any of them; its next to pointless to die to anyone besides the main characters in this game as a result
But he did do a fantastic job with Kanon's portrait and scene, it just is a shame...

This is sort of an 'overarching' issue with the game. Everything, and I mean everything about this game looks good on the outside, its easy as hell to make a trailer of the highlights of this game, but once you actually get to playing it... you realize how shallow it is, at least when compared to Shrink High 1. Its almost embarrassing, you could show a TON of the minigames through videos, get people hyped, and when they actually play them... they end up disappointed because they realize they were already showed everything good in the video

Its a *lot* easier to notice the flaws of a game or holes within a game if there isn't something deeply redeeming about it that compels you to look past them. Nothing in this game was "deep" enough in any aspect to make everything else feel tolerable
