I just finished "Missing Milo", the hour-long special. Fucking FANTASTIC.

This show better get the recognition it deserves, and Disney better start seeing it as their flagship cartoon alongside SvtFoE, which honestly pales in comparison to Dan & Swampy's genius.

The first episodes were dull because they didn't quite have the comedy and dialgoue down yet either. It was more dry and expository.
But by episode 5 they were back to P&F levels of witty charm. The show moves along a lot snappier now

But I'm glad the show's moving forward as directly as possible (thoroughly explaining The Llama Incident, having Cavendish & Dakota meet Milo already, take on time travel). Most shows (AT, SU, RaM, SvtFoE, etc.) would hold back on stuff like this. The fact that the MML Crew's confident enough to tackle this on already makes me that much more excited to see what the rest of this season as well as next season will cover.

the fact that they actually inserted the timetravelers into the background after the initial airings kind of makes me wonder if maybe the first episodes were rushed out ahead of schedule. i mean, we got them WAY too soon after P+F's ending for that to make any sense, plus then we got a giant hiatus

This and I think Dan and Swampy's way of writing tends to be a little slow-burn anyway.
A lot of the humour as well as character moments and even drama tends to be enforced by the little stuff built up over numerous episodes.

So it takes longer to get hooked but also builds a very rewarding sense of familiarity.
