Am I allowed to post a pic? There is a remarkably similar moment in All-Star Supes

I like to post full issues, and so not every slot gets filled in a thread.
So...I like it when people reading along wait until I've finished up full issues able to fit and post images in what ever is left. Sorry.

Man I love this series. It really goes a long way to show that you can absolutely use all of these absurd, silly and ridiculous ideas and tell a good story with them. Things don't have to be modernized or made more "mature" or "realistic", you just have to use them creatively to serve the story.
It's still campy and corny but in that feel good, classic Star Wars way. Its a celebration of not just an older era, but of many different eras, each one being used to showcase an aspect of the story and it all works together to make a story that, at the end of the day, almost anybody can relate to. "Things aren't the way they were, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing."
I know Moore hated his stories being done in other media, but I really and truly think this could work as a film or a series. Just substitute different eras and styles of film for the different eras of comics.
There's plenty to pull from; the Fleischer cartoons, the George Reeves show, Adam West Batman, Superfriends, Christopher Reeves, Burton Batman, Bruce Timm's Justice League, and even stuff like SNL or Johnny Carson.
Shoot it on different film stock and in different styles, with techniques and special effects of the time. It could turn into a marvelous showcase of film history in and of itself.
