A good or original story does not mean it needs some sort of plot twist you goddamn philistine. My problem with the comic is that outside of the art, pretty much everything about it is extremely boring. The world exists with no rhyme or reason, the characters are one-dimensional, the plot is extremely predictable, the dialogue is forgettable, and it feels like I've wasted my time reading it. I think the main thing that bothers me is that all the important characters are all conveniently related to Bonnie's previous life despite the world supposedly being ten times larger than Earth. I get that she's the chosen one™ but why is she the chosen one™ anyway? Hell, they don't even give a reason for her being the chosen one™ outside of some vague prophecy that says she's the chosen one™. This ties into the setting itself just being a generic mishmash of fantasy and sci-fi that exists for no other reason than Millar thought it might be cool. It's like Millar just wrote down whatever came to his mind when brainstorming one day and never bothered to expand on anything. Honestly, if it wasn't for Capullo I probably never would have read this. It's not a particularly bad comic or anything, it's just incredibly mediocre in most regards.
