I think he was always interested in the Dark Side, he was a young man separated from his parents at an early age and even his own mother would admit he inherited her temper and then some
I think the revelation about his family history crystallized a lot of his thoughts about the Dark Side and helped explain his constant temptation by it. Snoke fully capitalized on that, and the rest is history
I really hope they retcon or explain away the whole "Snoke influenced Ben" plot, I really do. Its a much more interesting story if he fell of his own accord, and all Snoke offered was a place to land and continue learning

This isn't a secret anon. Lucas's ideas have even been used in the Aftermath Trilogy.

It's likely that Lucas threw out literally dozens of post-ROTJ ideas for Lucasfilm, detailing all the key characters and events, but only really focused on the specific story outline of 7. They discarded his Episode 7 plan, but are keeping a lot of his other ideas for the ST era

Don't be dumb anon, Luke knew Ben for like a day, and it was 3 years before Ben's ghost even showed up to kick Luke's butt over to Dagobah, even after Luke had already read about Yoda in Ben's journal.

Also Ezra is just a padawan learner too. Kanan is the only true (technically) knighted Jedi, who Ben (presumably) does not know exist. Not that I think Kanan is going to survive the show, but that's besides the point.

I think Lucas's idea if they are still there have largely been obscured by Abrams and his copying of the OT. We know at least from the Artbook Lucas and Arndt still hadn't figured out the deal with the "jedi killer" character when Lucas left. So the central plot of the ST with Ben and Snoke owes more probably to Abrams.

I like the fact the Empire now has a corvette in its line up of regular Navy vessels, but the Raider seems really lazy to me. It's literally a mini-SD with Interceptor wings. It's not as mediocre as those hatchet shaped ships in TLJ's trailer, but it's still uncreative. Not every Imperial ship needs TIE wings or to be shaped like a triangle

What changed that design into Kylo was the casting of Adam Driver. The Rule of Two was something he came up for TPM and closer to the end of the writing process, but even during the mid-90s from sources like the Annotated Screenplays he still thought that there were multiple Sith in existence and Vader was just one of those. The idea of two Sith can pretty much be laid at the feet of TPM since it mirrors the symbiosis themes he was going for in the screenplay for TPM.

I'm just saying the Jedi Killer was closer to Vader in ANH or Maul in TPM. Something there to chase/fight the heroes. But he had no definite origin that even originally there was some idea to make him something that could eat stars. It's only Abrams making him Ben, killing Han and then the appearance of Snoke that really sets the track of the Sequel Trilogy being to fight them. The only thing from Lucas/Arndt that remains is the whole question of who is Luke Skywalker and the search for him being the impetus of TFA.

Their multiplayer could split players with shitty playlists again (although they say that they acknowledge that as one of their biggest mistakes last time, so I doubt they'll screw that up again)

But everything they've shown thus far is answering my prayers. Nothing bad yet. My dream game.

As far as I can tell, it's a system that everybody has been happy with.

Everybody got free DLC, the playerbase was never split, there was only one playlist where microtransactions were included, and said playlist wasn't skewed to the paying players at all from what I know.

If every game followed H5's lead, I think most players would be happy. Seems like a compromise worth taking for the sake of games lasting longer with tons of content.

Yeah, that scene in ESB on Hoth where he shouts "I'll get you, Skywalker gang!" then chases Luke, Leia and Han around.
It's clearly just a marionette on strings. It's not even a good one because he casts a flat, static shadow over the background, so you can tell that the puppet was added in post by dangling it between a projector and the screen and then re-recorded over the original footage.
That and the stop-motion Tauntauns look very dated now.

The NJO is great if you know what you're getting into. Just don't expect a typical swashbuckling adventure. If you're into world building the series was a huge step up from the bantam era books and makes a lot of references to early 90s novels that make the setting feel more cohesive.

No, that comes from the same meme. The idea was that KOTOR2 was pushed through unfinished because the ideas in it so infuriated Lucas that he forced them to stop working on it. There's never been any evidence of this, and Chris Avellone has even said that Lucasfilm never sent him any notes asking him to change the story or the way the Force was being depicted.

I've been writing up a brief story about Talon and Maul as friends: They're clones of the originals, in an era set about 500-ish years after Legacy. Clones of original Sith Lords are used to bolster the ranks of a Palpatine-fanatic cult. Skywalkers/Solos are included with copies of Vader, Jacen, and even Luke. A rogue faction of clones break from the cult after they realize they're pretty much mass-produced footsoldiers.

Judging by everything else in the story I think it was a combination of the team being kind of spergs themselves who were terrified of losing the project and them just not being altogether very bright.

Not baiting. The whole thing was bad fanfiction.
All the characters were forgettable. I couldn't even remember their names after the movie was over.
The plot was contrived as hell. Elements were bought up for no other reason than "lol references".
Killing everyone off at the end wasn't inspired. It was a lazy way out.
And then of course there was the terrible Tarkin and Leia CGI.
The only reason I didn't walk out of it half way through was because I was with people.

Kotor 2 was released December 2004. What was George doing then? Post-production on ROTS. He was too busy doing ROTS for the entirety of KOTOR 2's development cycle, and before as well. You think he had the time to find out or care about what some video game devs were doing?

The site has some of the commentaries for 1-6 too but imo they're not really worth listening to since the commentaries are George, Carrie, and a few other crew members all recorded separately and edited together really sloppily so there's a lot of silence and none of them are introduced so if you don't know their voices you won't know who the hell is talking. Nothing of note is really said either, really pointless. JJ's commentary for TFA is really good though. Even if you don't like the movie it's definitely interesting to listen to. He praises George a lot during it and talks about subtle things he would do that JJ was influenced by like separating characters and bringing them together again to strengthen their bonds.
