LAZY BITCHjk, love you OP
>>91224795I was at a nail salon. I can't post Mignolaverse from there
>>91224742
And that my friends is how you con an old racist to give you a trip to Siam on the company dime.
>>91224843
More excuses.Like a nail salon doesn't have wifi
BEWARE THE CLAW!!
>>91226483
Do they ever explain the claw hand? Is it just a heated metal element in a glove, or something more mystical?
>>91224789
Fuckin' London, always a mess.
>>91226866
Not yet, but the new LJ series looks like it's going to cover more of The Lobsters more supernatural possible origins.
>>91226916
Yo ho ho, pirates in NYC!

>That little guy in the white is still around in LJ
I thought they would have thrown is ass is jail or applied JUSTICE! Did he escape and I never noticed?
>>91227179
He always seems to get away at the last moment.
>>91227179
He was always the one whispering into the ear of the bigger badbuy, and the one time he did get caught he made himself out to be an ineffectual cowered.
The guy knows how to fly under the radar.
You think they could reboot the Hellboy franchise by doing a series of Mignola verse movies?
Start off with Gall in a couple of Conan type movies and then Grey leading into Lobster Johnson. Or are they to thematically different to be tied together by an "Old Ones" mythos?
>>91227405
>force push
>>91227387
I would prefer some longer form of entertainment, like a group of series. Or what would be super cool is some Mignolaverse fiction podcasts.
>>91227496
I would like the podcasts, that's a great idea. But a any series outside of of HBO or the like and I think budget might be an issue.
>>91227568
All I can think about is a Lobster Johnson series in the style of The Shadow. Or if someone would make a movie based on the Luchador movies Hellboy watched as a kid.
That's it for today guys, see you next weekend for more.
>>91228257
Thanks much for the storytime.
>>91228257
See you then. And as always thank you so much for the work you put into this.

This is so terrific and random.
Page 9 is too far.
What kind of people populate these threads? Solipsists?
I've read it all before, just not in order. Not that I'm actually reading now, I don't have that kind of time. I'm here for Mignolaverse discussion.

Ditto.
As an aside, since this is basically the start of the Lobster era, which enemy of the Lobster was most impressive?
I'm pretty sure the Black Flame was the deadliest, but he loses motivation so quickly compared to Memnaan Saa. Saa comes across as barely having power half the time, and completely deluded with what power he does have, the rest. And Crimson Lotus... came across as competent, but I don't remember he doing much beyond manipulating her familiars.

The Lobster's greatest is injustice.

This serie was kind of anticlimatic...
>>91231514
I dunno... he seems to do pretty well at shooting the hell out of it.
By the way, as interested as I am in the Silver Lantern Club, I found Sarah Jewell to not really fit well into the Mignolaverse. She seems awfully upbeat and not all that weird. Even the superhumans in BPRD have some darkness hanging over them, or at least some unusual powers.
She's just an ex-socialite who runs around and shoots monsters while having fun. I'm confused how she and Grey ever became friends. I could see her maybe being friends with a young Bruttenholm.
>>91231680
Coulda done more with it, yeah. If it weren't a mini-series, then I'd call it a backdoor pilot for, at the least, the Silver Lantern Club, if not just someone pitching their OC Donut Steel, Miss Jewell.
>>91231680
It was mostly a lore dump to explain how The Black Flame came to be
>>91231688
I think she's an okay fit, there's enough room for upbeat in the Mignolaverse and there's plenty time for her to die or go mad.
