What's the point of Clyde?
He just seems so... normal? yet he's a recurring kid who always gets some lines every now and then
He's not like the other supporting boys like Tweek, Jimmy, Token, or even Craig who have a thing going for them and have a distinct personality
he's not even like the other named kids who are just background characters since he actually does get lines
he's just... there...
Just what is the point of him and what makes him worth being around the other boys without a gimmick who are just background characters?

Stan should be pretty boring as well. The things that make Stan distinct from the other characters are things that are not very expended either on like loving animals or having a girlfriend.
Clyde is a pervert who likes girls a lot and reads playboy but who isn't popular by himself but hangs out with Craig and Token who are popular.

Hell, if you only take into account the last few seasons, you can ask "what's the point of..." for quite some people. Not even Kenny is safe from this tendency of everything being underused.
