/trash/: when you hit rock bottom, it's only up from there
The R.S. Arkos, the first dreadnought to sail the shipping seas.
The first to be sunk, dashed against the rocks of earth by Miles and splintered by the bombs of the sky by Kerry.
The ship flounders, and dips under, surrendering to the darkness, much to the horror and bemusement of the anchored crafts ashore. Their crewmen laugh, the crewmen sigh, all wondering who was able to survive the demise of the massive warship, who was able to escape the death throes of the fandom's finest craft.
Little do they know, I remain. As do others.
I am one of the many mariners of the Dread Ship Arkos, maintainer of the condemned craft, and despite the water in my lungs and the mollusks in my heart, I carry out my duty. I unfurl the sails, I scrub the deck clean, I sheer the grime off of the bow.
We will proceed, hunting those who dare blaspheme the ocean with wanton hubris. We shall drag them down to the ocean floor, laugh as their fanart and fanfictions sink into the infinite blackness, the smearing tar of uncanonity, as they scream for breath and reason. The minute vindication of their demise shall only amuse us temporarily: we are united by our killers, the forces of M and K. The bitterness unites us all, but we carry the bloody torch of resolve. We shall ride the tide of blackness, survive, and chart our course.
And when they all sink, their bloated corpses will be the buoy on which our dreadnought will rise once more, and sail strong and far into the air and sun and sky.
I promise you.
>and the shit with her eyes this ep
I suspect that the "silver eyes" thing is a red herring, and that it really is just nothing more than a rare eye color that Ruby and her mom had. She probably got the maiden powers from Summer when she died (since it's pretty reasonable to guess that Summer's last thoughts would've been of her daughter) and Qrow was just spinning the silver eye tale as a way to tell Ruby she has the potential to be a powerful warrior (holding back the actual fact that she has maiden powers, since they try to keep the maidens safe through secrecy and she's probably too immature to not blab about it to someone if she knew that she and her mother were maidens)
I also made an MP3 of the credits song. The first one, anyway.
It still hurts guys
>Think Ruby has a chance to stop it
>It dosn't happen
>Suffering for all
We post Beaconshit now ?
we should add Taiyang to Beaconship soon
“For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee.” — Pyrrha Nikos
SHE'S NOT DEAD DAMMIT
The nail in the coffin had to be this whole maiden bullshit. An irrelevant side character otherwise only used for romantic drama just suddenly being picked up as a critical part of the main plot. Dead as dicks
might have to go with Torchwick this time
Well Vytal didn't fall out of the sky and crash into Beacon comms tower, I must say with how telegraphed that was I'm surprised it didn't happen.
>wah my not waifu is dead, fix your tastes to match mine
IF she's actually not dead, all it means in this case is that part of her soul is in Jaune, which means we have to wait until they get to Atlas for them to pull it out and put it in a Pyrrhabot. That's two seasons, minimum.
I'm pretty much a hivemind apparently.
RWBY will become the new IlluminOzi.
Ruby: Dorothy(Silver slippers/eyes + MC)
Weiss: The Ice Queen(Tinman) who defrosted and gained a heart
Blake: The Cowardly Lion(Feline) who keeps running away
Yang: The (scarecrow) who needs to get a brain to stop thoughtlessly rushing into things
Jaune: The new Ozpin
I'm pretty sure that no one else thought this, but did anyone else think about the story of the woman that was "do you believe in God?" before she was shot from the Columbine massacre when this scene played? It just triggered me for some reason.
What are the chances Pyrrha is just in the same place as Ozpin?
Huh I just realized that his yes and Raven makes Yang's purple eyes
Roman, in my opinion. He went down the same glorious dickbag he always was. Pyrrha was broken when she got there. It might be because she knew she was going to die wheras Roman wasn't expecting it.
>Listening to "Cold" again
>It's also clearly about Monty
I can't handle that.
well she did get dissolved so she could have been returned to dust if the whole "humans came from dust theory is true".
So here goes.
>I don't think Ruby is a maiden, unless each of the four maiden powers are transferred through different means, which they likely aren't.
>summer is dead, so is Roman & Pyrrha
>Cinder, Neo & Ozpin are MIA, we don't know whether they are dead or not. Penny can possibly be rebuilt or brought back to life.
Ozpin is likely waiting in a log cabin somewhere growing a beard waiting for the yearly reunion of his bitches
>Ironwood was interestingly not spoken of this episode.
>Roman's death was weak as shit, but I understand that he wouldn't have much more of a place in the show anymore, as it is advancing beyond what it was.
>While only Vale is destroyed, the big impact that has changed the dynamic of Remnant is that there is no longer communication possible between the kingdoms due to the CCT destruction and the last thing everyone saw was Cinder's monologue at the coliseum & possibly the fighting that mercury was capturing on his scroll, which showed war.
>It is likely that every kingdom will be militarising in order to defend against the attack from Atlas
>very few people actually understand the situation, as most people in the coliseum would have taken Cinder's words at face value and then seen the atlas attack and just assumed the worst. I guess the fact that they were all from different kingdoms is going to be relevant in reinstating the peace
>the reason the grimm weren't an issue was because of the time of peace. Grimm were only limited to young variants, on the corners of civilisation, with no chance to grow to be more than a major. Now humanity isn't working together as a whole, the grimm will be much more dangerous.
>Yang, Weiss & Blake's story is really up in the air right now, leaving us with no idea at all what is in store for them next was a really big move & I think it means that they won't be shown too prominently next season.
...so how did I do?
Press F to pay respects
I get the feeling that it's the same kind of thing that had it sealed up in the mountain, so now it's all statue-fied, but not as effective since Ruby didn't know what she was doing.
Some kind of pure white light of good to oppose the Grimm's pure evil
>Pyrrha wouldn't want you to do this.
>Pyrrha's dead Ruby. She's dead because I didn't do anything. But I can now.
>Evil killed her. And what does evil have to fear from good men who are afraid to meet it?
>RT promises to bring back penny and pyrrha
>Jaune and Ruby now have to share a waifu
Ha. Ha. Ha.
I can see it now
>RRNJ traveling to Haven
>Have a relatively uneventful day
>Wake up to the sound of Ruby screaming in the middle of the night
>There's no danger or threat
>The nightmares are just too much for her
So which of your theories got proved right, and which got utterly destroyed
>inb4 "Ozpin turns back time"
>inb4 Ruby is a maiden (she still might be, but her Silver Eyes is something different)
If Pyrrha "You'd only get in the way" Nikos could stand up to Cinder as a first year, I feel like Ozpin could win with an actual weapon.
>RWBY will be like Harry Potter guise
>that last scene post-credits
So Qrow is literally a crow animagus? Has anyone looked through all the episodes again for more crow sightings that are probably him?
I mean, Pyrrha wasn't really just a first year student, she was an incredible athlete and possibly the heir to the Fall Maiden Powers (I'd wager all maidens are naturally gifted).
But yeah, Ozpin more than held his own and we have no idea how his fight actually ended (all we know is he's missing).
Cap from last thread
>Turning into Crows is a Branwen family semblance
>The Crow outside of Yang's window is Raven
first penny and now pyrrha
>i want off this ride guys
Ok ,so I've been rewatching the season and one thing has really bothered me.
How the fuck does Winter not know what bunkbeds are? If Atlas is all military and Nazi shit, aren't bunkbeds up there with shit food and asshole Lieutenants who purposefully fuck with you but get all defensive when during a weapons inspection you mention it is clean enough to blow their head off.
Well, she "stood up to her" by doing no damage to Cinder at all and then getting killed when her aura ran out. Cinder was operating at a much lower power level there than the DBZ shit she was doing while fighting Ozpin.
A black bird can be seen flying over Ruby in the Red trailer and over Yang in the yellow trailer
One can also be sen watching the Qrow and Winter fight
This leads me to believe that both Qrow and Raven can become birds, with Qrow becoming a crow and Raven being a raven, obviously
>Ozpin is named after the Wizard of Oz
>He is found hiding behind a curtain to make his head really big
I don't think every character is going to end up just like their namesake/inspiration, if only because most fairytales are
Probably a Branwen family ability, just like the Rose family's silver eyes and the Schnee family's inherited semblance.
If that's true though, shouldn't Yang be able to transform eventually too? Ruby inherited her mom's thing, so Yang would as well right?
This show's gonna go on for fucking ages if they're being honest about the amount of material they've compiled. Of course we're not getting everything tied up at the end of the third season. Volume, whatever.
To all the anons who are pointing out that her heart was pierced by an arrow: It's safe to say what Cinder used wasn't an arrow in any normal sense. A regular physical projectile that was strong enough to bury deep into her torso would have knocked her flat on her back, especially at that range. There's also the obvious fact that unlike the first shot, which landed in her heel and simply wounded her, the second shot caused her to magically disintegrate.
With that said I think it's irrelevant whether or not her heart was actually wounded, since I think she's simply become disincorporated and will be resurrected at a later time.
NEVER GIVE UP THE SHIP
Maybe he didn't
>Fighting Cinder in the vault
>Got her on the ropes with his sick wizard powers
>Cinder realizes she can't win and bails
>Flies up through the elevator shaft
>Breaks the elevator on the way up, Pyrrha finishes it off
>That's right bitch, you better run
>Among the many amazing abilities afforded to him, flight is not one of them
>Welp, better get comfy. Not going anywhere anytime soon
>Lindsay's little "Jaune, why?" during the RWBY livestream when Pyrrha and Jaune were having their moment
She knows, she knows
Anon, you really overanalyzed that. She was merely surprised (and mildly disgusted) to hear what her sister's sleeping arrangements sounded like. Of course she knows what a bunk bed is.
I'll only be pressing F for one man. One man who started his life intended as a mere "pawn", only to rise up with his limitless style and charm, to become the best boy in RWBY.
Fuck, I made myself sad again.
Cinder has gotten way better this volume, anon. She has legitimate RWBYg fans. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true
and all according to keikaku. That glorious planwoman did it again!
I just want things to start and end. Throughout the three volumes, they're only starting shit and leaving it as a plot thread. At this point, all the dangling plot threads would look like a spaghetti monster.
>Emerald that low
Wow. Was it that she kicked your waifu's ass, or something else?
I mean, if you don't like her, fair enough. Just curious why she's down below all the nothing-characters.
>Pyrrha comes back dressed like pic related
So is it the Branwen semblance then? Or maybe their parents were a human and a bird faunus so now they have a bit of both in them. Neither one looked like they had any obvious faunus traits but if they can transform into an animal it seems dumb to assume that no faunus hijinks are involved somehow.
It sounded and looked like Pyrrha died before Cinder disintegrated her into cinders. You hear Pyrrha gasping for air, and then goes silent and slumps forward.I It was like Cinder just wanted to get rid of the corpse.
lots of cuddles, awful jokes, and a fucking arm cannon. Also go beat the shit out of junior just like the good old days then go find blake the useless lesbian.
She's a rich prick that grew up with her own king sized bed. Of course she'd be disgusted by the idea of bunk beds outside of the military for the sole purpose of space efficiency.
What if RT suddenly goes bankrupt by the end of Season 3, for example? Many Internet-based entities have been on the red right now like Picasa and Soundcloud. That's what I was afraid of after seeing their seemingly ambitious plans for RWBY.
There wasn't even a sizable status quo. It's the fucking start of the school term.
tell her a bunch a shitty puns that are so bad that she'll have to laugh
So, what's your guess on Ozpin's semblance, given that the highly likely version of "wizard power's duh" isn't true?
Is there even a semblance fitting to explain everything we saw him doing?
Aw fuck, I can't believe they've done this
Don't worry anon, Penny might be rebuilt
There's no precedent for faunus being actual lycanthropes, so I don't think it's that. I think it's more likely his semblance.
I don't know if it's necessarily a Branwen family thing either, since Raven's thing might be portals.
To add to the "Jaune will burn to death" theory, Joan was burnt for being a witch. No clue what that's supposed to mean though. What happens if Jaune tries to pull her power out of her with her own glove? The villains usually do get a taste of their own ultimate weapon. He's not eligible to hold the mantle, maybe he'd burst into flames or somethng
>owned and funded by FullScreen and raking in the dollarydoos like it's their real job
>making new contracts with other large groups like WB Japan and Youtube/Google all the time
Ya, not happening.
Tumblr in denial again, well the new volume couldn't come fast enough.
Got to let of those old partners.
I know it's kinda the whole point, but I'm really annoyed at Pyrrha going after Cinder. She obviously knew the danger, she was even told by Ozpin that she'd only get in the way. Then, for some reason, she believes she can beat the woman who just beat the headmaster, the same one who said Pyrrha stood no chance.
Did anyone get turned on by
Pyrrha gasping and choking for air? The sounds of her life leaving her body? The shocked expression in her eyes as she knew she was just seconds away from dying?
When Penny died I thought they were just giving her the "Superman" treatment (as in, high durability heroes like Superman are the only ones who regularly suffer attacks that would be lethal to regular people since they can take it) since she's a robot and could potentially be rebuilt.
But now that all this other shit happened, I don't know. I think she's probably dead for good.
Is nobody else completely stunned they killed her off? Like, I know it was heavily hinted at for a while now but WOW I didn't think they'd have the balls to do it. I know Pyrrha isn't that popular here but I always liked her and her relationship with Jaune. I'm pretty fucking sad to see her go.
The fact that they killed her off like that + that sad as fuck ending credits song + sad Jaune is just a big triple punch in the gut.
You know, I think the biggest itch that I have about this whole finale and the lead-up to it isn't even Pyrrha's death. It's how they clearly didn't know what to do with Roman and just offed him like a punk.
At least Penny and Pyrrha's exits had impact to them, Roman's was just forced as shit, even with the knowledge of how Grimm function.
other than her dress that face is the only thing I love about Cinder
>Jaune is based on Joan of Arc
>Joan of Arc believed she could speak with spirits
>"It is in passing that we achieve immortality."
>Jaune the medium?
>Pyrrha was turned to ash, except her headdress; so there's something going on here
>Pyrrha's headdress ends up in Jaune's possession for whatever reason; there's a huge ass magnet grimm corpse there, so that's probably going to be investigated at some point
>Jaune's semblance lets him conjure ghosts, or better yet full life
No, I mean it feels like there wasn't a lot of additions to the game since it was released as early access. I assumed they were busy working on actual RWBY to work on the RWBY game at the time.
You can't make a show worrying about what-if's if you want a decent story. If you just resolve things at the end of every season it would get old as hell and there'd be no dramatic tension. I know M&K aren't the best but leaving so much unresolved at this spot was good, in my opinion. We know where the show has to move now, but we don't know how it will do so or what might happen along the way.
Yes. I can't wait.
I kinda felt like it was inevitable, but didn't think it would be so soon. I was expecting at least another full season of will-they-won't-they, but as soon as Pyrrha kissed Jaune I knew she was done for.
It still hurts, though...
RT is not some two bit start up.
They have the fans with mad cash, look at Extra Life and the Indigogo for Lazer Team
Don't forget that RT is owned by Fullscreen that owns a good number of youtubers like
>Screw Attack which was merged with RT
Some of 'em, his hate has dropped considerably this volume, but there are those who don't have nothing better to do but hate on a fiction character, mostly pyrruby faggets or lesbians cunts.
>Volume 4 rolls out
>All these people who have no idea what an Arkos is
>Why do people keep misspelling Nuts & Bolts
>Who's that orange-haired jobber again?
Pyrrha knew she was fucked, that's why she kissed Jaune because she knew she'd never get another chance.
However, she also knew that she couldn't just leave her to destroy the tower without even trying to stop her.
And to be fair, her death caused Ruby to go Full Silver Eyes, so in a way she DID stop Cinder.
I was just so happy to see them finally get together only to have her ripped away from him. I'm a sucker for shit like that so It really hit me. His VA did an incredible job with the phone scene, felt like Jaune definitely knew it was gonna happen. Heartbreaking stuff.
>Burnie is Taiyang
How is it that the original RvB guys turned out to be some of the best voice actors at Rooster Teeth?
Are the characters just written for them? Burnie, Gus, Geoff..I never feel like they do a bad job.
Even Michael's pretty good as Sun
Reminder that Penny will be the new P of JNPR.
>Gender Swapped like the rest of the team (Pinocchio)
>Copper fits with Juniper brown/green color theme
>A lot of unanswered questions, more development to be had
>Names starts with P
>Probably some other shit
>Someone from the main cast is in trouble
>Suddenly all of their superpowers are useless because reasons
>An unknown weapon crashes into the wall between the main character and the villain
>It's attached to a chain and the camera pans towards the other end
>It's Blake and Gambol Shroud V2
Mark my words
Why didn't Ozpin just turn back time and stop Cinder before she became the maiden?
wasn't the whole inspiration for JNPR not just that they were gender swapped references, but that the original characters were all symbolic heroes? pinnochio is just a heartwarming fable at best, right?
>Implying his sembalnce isn't some shield or healing
>Cinder tries to burn Jaune
>He just walks torwards her even on fire
>She ups the heat, the concrete melts around him.
>He keeps on walking
>She starts shooting from her bow. An arrow smashes through his eye.
>He still keeps on walking.
>She uses all her power to create a wall of fire, so hot even she feels it.
>A charred body walks through it, skin barely, clinging to bone
>"Just what are y-Ack!"
>She looks down to see a blade through her abdomen before dying.
>The real Jaune withdraws Crocea Mors from Cinder's Body
>"Thank's Penny 2.0!"
>Penny, now only an exoskeleton after her Jaune skin melted goves him a thumbs up and walks away into the sunset.
Yeah, I feel like Cinder probably has huge amounts of aura and power to draw upon and was just gloating a little and playing around since she basically accomplished all of her plans.
She did stop Pyrrha's weapon with her bare hands, was a little surprised by Pyrrha's amoun metal control but ended up just no-selling it anyways. I don't think she was in danger at any time.
Her friends come to try and cheer her up. Then either her dad tries to motivate her or Bitch mom of the century comes and does shit to piss her off.
Or yaknow, Weiss somehow gets permission from Papa Schnee to buy her a new arm.
Alright faggots listen up, the silver eyes story Qrow gave Ruby is a Red Herring.
Heres my theory:
>Ozpin is in charge of Qrows elite team which included Summer
>They knew the story of Maidens
>Summer is literally the maiden of summer
>When she died her last memory was of Ruby
>it's stated that maidens transfer their energy to the last person they're thinking of as foreshadowing
>before Qrow tells Ruby about the silver eyes legend he says "there are a lot of legends, some true. Some made up."
>In that moment on the tower her powers got triggered and her body wasn't prepared for that much energy so she passed out from over exertion
So Ruby vs Cinder coming next season. The Maidenbowl! Git hype!
The game is done by 4 people who make up RT's Game Dev department. They do not work on the show. I imagine they've just been busy working on things the fans wanted instead of what they had planned, judging by the "update soon" announcement a while ago.
>Oh, the last episode is going to come out on valentne's day, oh, this will be a huge thing, wink wink nudge nudge
>Yeah, so open your heart for all the love
>Here, have some Arkos hand holding, you know you love it, so open your chest and let your heart out
SO WE CAN DRIVE AN ARROW IN ITS HEEL AND DISSOLVE IT IN FRONT OF YOUR VERY EYES
I think i can already called how the next volume is going to be.
>The remains of team Juniper will become main characters
>Weiss, Blake and Yang will become secondary characters with separate stories
>Jaune is going to go nuclear and wild
All the more reason to believe that the Grimm-belly insulated him against the explosion and crash.
>Wounded and scorched Griffon returns to Salem's lair
>Starts hacking and coughing
>Regurgitates Roman onto the floor
>"...was there really NO other way to come get me?!"
best boi still on top.
Ruby might be finally the main character now, but Wizard still beats Maiden.
I can do no more... this show has broken me... too many good people have fallen needlessly...
I must leave this fandom before it takes too much...
WHAT WAS PHYRAS FAVORITE BOOK?
"Gone with the wind"...
So she's gonna turn into Kaz? Because I'm cool with that.
My favorite pairing held hands for a few seconds and then did partner-y things so I'm satisfied.
Now to sit back and wait for Jaune to piss all over my hopes and dreams while he and Ruby bond over the course of their journey.
I was surprised, yeah. Killing off a main character is a pretty bold move, perhaps moreso when it fucks up that whole team arrangement which has been fairly important in universe and out.
Doubtful they're going to do this anymore, I see people dying but I don't see anyone else in RWBY or JNR dying, Pyrrha was basically the Aris or Shinji of the group for them to increase their determination.
>Yang becomes either Kaz or BB.
>RWBY fans complain that there's so many characters that they can't all get proper screentime
>instead of making the season longer, they kill off characters to make the cast smaller
I'd tell her a bunch of shitty jokes and puns, hug her, rub her back. Stuff like that.
I literally said that outloud right when that happened.
>the silver eyes story Qrow gave Ruby is a Red Herring.
That's just like, your opinion man.
We won't know for sure until next season at the earliest. Until then, I'll continue to believe he was telling the truth.
I've been playing Cinder's "WHAT?" On repeat for 10 minutes now and never in my life have I ever been so erect before
It's a joke that Ruby was Summers last memory because she's her biological daughter. Considering most stories of Summer, she seemed to love both equally.
>Her last thoughts were both daughters
>Both Yang and Ruby have half the maiden powers (we know this is possible since Cinder was half a maiden)
>Yang going OP isn't actually her semblance, it's her Summer Maiden Powers
>Her real semblance is turning into a bird like Raven and Qrow
>Lancaster will become canon at some point
>But at the cost of everyone's smile
I-I don't know what to feel
That… might actually be interesting. Ironwood did say they figured out how to TRANSFER aura, not create it. Meaning Penny’s aura came from something else. If they shove Pyrrha’s aura (maybe some still in the pod or something) into Penny 2.0...
>She wouldn’t need strings anymore
I just thought they were gender swapped, but I think what >>79843452 said could work too
pyrrha fags are pissing me off.
>character has been set up for death since the second season
>creators teasing character's death online
>character's death is the last point needed to advance the plot
WHAAAAAAAAAAT!? W-WHY MAH WAIFU, DROPPING SHOW, SHE'LL BE BACK RIGHT? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SELF INSERT AS JAUNE NOW!?
honestly fuck off. Penny fags weren't even this annoying and their character's death wasn't even half as foreshadowed as pyrrha's.
>YFW Jaune talks with Pyrrha's father and it plays out exactly like that scene from AOT
where one of the commanders is talking with the father of a deceased teammate talks about how said teammate crushed on the commander.
>mfw M&K said just because JNPRs inspirational figures all dies horribly doesn't mean JNPR will die horribly because they don't use the figures for more than inspiration
>mfw Pyrrha got heeled hard
>mfw M&K lied and we'll see Jaune on a stake a few episodes into Volume 4
>"Why did it take you... how long has it been?"
>"Uh- 10 months?"
>"Why did it take you 10 months to clear out all the Grimm and come get me? You're all hunters and Vale isn't even that big!"
>"Well, actually, the Grimm weren't that big a deal, and cleanup only took about 2 months"
>"So what have you been doing all this time?"
>"Getting Beacon in order. It's a new school year and I have been swamped with work. You know this was a PR disaster for us"
>"Oh fuck you guys"
>"C'mon Oz, no one ever comes down here. Why would we even check?"
>"That's it, you are all kicked out of Club Ozpin"
>"Oh, but the way; since you've been gone so long you have a LOT of backed up paperwork
>You'll never be behind Penny when she strikes that pose
>You'll never try to later inform her that you can see her panties when she does so
>She'll never lean in close and whisper
I think this may be true except that Summer, and now Ruby, were/are Maidens of Winter, not Summer.
I'm still on the fence as to whether Ruby's a Maiden at all, and I can't figure out a reason why Qrow would tell her she's a legendary fairytale warrior but leave out the Maiden bit, but if she IS a Maiden...despite her personality, there's a lot of winter theming around Ruby. The silver eyes, the winter setting of both the Red trailer and the timeskip to winter in this episode, the whole "freezing" the Grimm power.
He already got burned, from a certain point of view, by Cardin(al) Winchester. So he's safe for now. What you should be worried about is Ren and Nora.
>yfw Jaune can't speak but instead hands her parents over her tiara.
Ruby is going to go to Mistral in search of the White Fang and meet the Spring maiden, who is hiding from a woman similar to Cinder.
Yang is going to go with Taiyang to hunt down Rubes and rescue her, meeting with Raven to ask for her help and learning what the Rubes really is.
Blake is going to also go to Mistral in search of Adam, linking up with Sun's teams and globbing on his monkey knob.
Weiss Schnee is going to rebel against her tyrannical father when he decides to push Atlas into going to war against Mistral and Vaquo.
Adam is going to conquer Mistral while they are distracted fighting Atlas.
Now for the big one:
Ruby's silver eyes will be connected to the maidens (with one hidden in each kingdom). You'd think the story of the maidens is about the 4 girls, but if you really pay attention, the story is actually about the old wizard man. It's going to be revealed that the Wizard from the story is one of the silver-eyed warriors, and that he is the ancestor of Rubes. Ruby will take on the role of the old man as she meets the other maidens (Spring in Mistral, Summer in Vacuo, and Winter in Atlas).
Salem is also a silver-eyed witch secretly, and her ultimate goal is to absorb the power of all 4 of the maidens and become a goddess because this is an anime and that's as cookie cutter as it gets.
Yang is gonna get a robo arm and fight Blake.
Weiss is going to get rekt by her father and have to fight him, forcing Winter to choose a side. Winter will ultimately choose Weiss and sacrifice herself for her sister.
Weiss going back to Atlas will hopefully provide us a window into what's going there. We'll definitely get some info about what Atlas is planning to do now that the world thinks they're on the war path and Weiss will likely somehow get involved with Penny's father/creator so we'll learn Penny's ultimate fate through her. Hopefully once all that's happened Penny and Weiss will escape to Haven together to go find their friends.
btw, do we even know Summer was the Summer maiden?
Ruby's eye-feather-maiden things were white, and she even said "everything was white", and the Dragon was 'frozen', not 'stopped', not 'held up' but 'frozen'.
And considering the fall maidens eye-feather-maiden thing is orange, I find it highly likely that Ruby & Summer are Winter maidens.
>HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SELF INSERT AS JAUNE NOW!?
>If you like Jaune then that means you self-insert yourself as him
Penny will come back.
Pyrrha literally walked out of the inferno and at the last fucking possible second decided to pull a 180 and run back in with us watching and collectively groaning .
> who is hiding from a woman similar to Cinder.
Chill Rise, a cunning woman who seeks to gain the power of the maiden. She is aided by her associates Gem and Venus, as well as a local crimelord named Byzantium.
We don't know Summer and Ruby are Maidens at all. I'd say it's 50/50 that they're entirely new bullshit magic instead. But yeah, if Summer was a Maiden, I agree she was probably Winter. (God that's gonna get confusing.)
It's been heavily implied that a certain amount of traits from the original soul are transferred to the vessel without any control (with the amber thing).
So she'd probably be slightly different at least.
>Qrow was where he seemingly had been since Jaune had arrived.
>Sitting at the table, staring at nothing. The only time he seemed to move was when he needed another bottle.
>Jaune approached as Qrow poured himself his next shot, setting a glass of his own down on the table.
>"Spare a drink? I could really use one."
>Qrow grabbed the bottle, bringing it to his lips and downing it in a few quick gulps.
>With a satisfied sigh, he turned to Jaune.
>"Sorry kid, none left."
>"But as long as you're here... do you want to talk about it?"
what reason would she have running away when she was going on and on about destiny previously? she knew it was her destiny to die young the moment she was brought into the maiden shit.
Pretty sure they weren't the Winter Maiden Anon.
>WHAAAAAAAAAAT!? W-WHY MAH WAIFU, DROPPING SHOW, SHE'LL BE BACK RIGHT? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SELF INSERT AS JAUNE NOW!?
>We later get a Twitter update saying that Miles quit doing RWBY.
She'll be back. In time.
This was just the first keikaku. Salem still needs her queen, after all.
I find it hard to believe that the Guardians care about protecting the Maiden power so much but don't give a shit about any silver-eyed WMDs walking around who can give the Maidens an ass-whooping.
I firmly believe there is no actual power associated with silver eyes, that it's a red herring for us and a convenient excuse for Qrow to explain Ruby's expression of power without having to tell her she's a Maiden.
Does Salem have other powerful pieces besides Cinder? Obviously Mercury and Emerald work for Cinder and not directly for Salem, so there's got to be someone else she can use to deliver keikaku right?
Now that I'm thinking about it, they should have shown Jaune's reaction to hearing about Pyrrha'a death
>If you're crying over arkos you're more than likely a self insertfag.
I never liked Arkos because it was rushed and forced as shit.
I like Jaune because I think he can develop to a good character, people who yell out "you like him because you self-insert as him!" need to fuck off and stop assuming so much.
>Whenever I see this I can only think of the DBZ edit somebody posted ages ago
I'd hate this because, even tossing all shipping considerations aside, Jaune's character has always been focused on or around Pyrrha.
It'd feel cheap to have him start growing towards Ruby immediately. They're two characters that just genuinely work best as friends.
tumblr really hates heterosexual guys don't they?
You're a good man anon, I would have just kicked Ruby off the building but.
I hope so anon
