Father Hulk I feel I am not the comrade I want to be, I want to pick up and continue to consume various works but have a hard time doing so, how can I better myself and become a happier person in that regard father?
When I visit other people's homes I turn the thermostat down two degrees, turn the toilet paper rolls in the opposite direction, replace every battery with a dud and insert it the wrong way, put the butter in the fridge, fill any mustard bottles with water, and delete the album art from their music library's ID3 tags.
>>79708550 Yeah. But I don't think New 52 Supergirl is stronger than him, with her struggling to lift one bridge. Also, tits. When I look at my folder with /co/ characters, I see silly amount of female characters and couple of male characters I like.
I unironically loved Man of Steel despite the Invincible Son scene for the sole reason that I've always wanted to see a big screen fight between two kryptonians.
I also am not looking forward to Batman V Superman because it seems to be overcrowding itself with characters, some very poor casting decisions, the more lighthearted direction it seems to want to take once the final act hits, and the early inclusion of Doomsday.
Leto is also proving more and more to be the worst Joker ever put to film, and Margot Robbie is disastrously unfunny.
>>79707833 I once got a large poster of she-hulk printed and placed it on my desk. For the next month, I jerked off to the poster, cumming on it every time. By the end it was like the 'waste' from auschwitz, only with sperm
>>79707833 I really liked Civil War I enjoyed Waypool, even if I understand why it is so much hated, still the worst Deadpool run I disliked DCYou Bizarro, even if I was hyped for it. I hoped it was like Action Comics #40 who I loved I am european and 98% of my comics are american or english I read the first 5 numbers of Kamala Ms. Marvel and then dropped it because too much talking about being muslim and doing muslim things. The point is I am a leftist. Not hyped for Suicide Squad movie. Don't see the point at all. Never read a Suicide Squad comic in my life and don't have the desire. I am waiting for the day DC comics fires Venditti and the next writer retcon it's run to the point it never happened, so we can go back to read good Green Lantern comics I think Warren Ellis is better than Alan Moore I think Matt Fraction is an hack and the only good thing I read from him is Sex Criminals. (I never read his Hawkeye) Sorta liked Bendis' X-Men run until The Trial Of Jean Grey. Dropped because the quality was going down and sick of all those crossovers I can't stand moviefags even if I myself go to see cinecomics Sorta liked Millar's Nemesis, it was dumb fun I love baneposting
People who hate any gay ships but like lesbian ships or vice verse really make me angry. I think they are hypocrites and passive aggressive. I actually like people who hate all forms of homosexuality much more than people who like one form and hate the other.
Gay Transformers fanart really pisses me off for some reason. Any other cartoon, comic, TV show, movie, I got no problem with...Hell, I don't even have a problem with the canonical gay TF relationships, like Rewind and Chromedome or Cyclonus and Tailgate...but gay fanships, especially ones with explicit art, really irritate the living fuck out of me. I don't know why, and I really hate myself for feeling this way, but there it is.
>>79709171 There is a difference between indifference and hate. Like I knew this person who would go ballistic and on a rant every time their favorite character was involved in gay pairings. They would attack people who dared make any art of this. But they were completly fine and even like lesbian relationship ships.
>>79709187 >getting angry because people draw porn of stuff you like I don't get it, are you new to the internet? Everything will get shipped at some point and every character will get rule 34'd. It's just how it works, it's pointless to get angry about it.
>>79709187 I also don't understand how anyone could ship Booster Gold and Blue Beetle as a couple. It just....doesn't make any sense to me. They've got comedic chemistry, but they're about as gay for each other as Abbott and Costello. I just don't get it.
>>79709241 No, which is why these feeling confuse and irritate me, almost more than the porn itself. I feel like a huge fucking hypocrite, and I've learned to just shrug and move on, but having these feelings really bothers me because I don't understand WHY they're there.
>>79709269 Well, it's good that you realize your anger is pointless and irrational. I don't know, just try to get used to the idea and know that you getting angry won't change anything anyway. Porn will always get made.
Read the stuff you enjoy, ignore the fandom if it annoys you. Better to do stuff you like instead of getting annoyed by things you can't change.
Unless you count manga, I've only read a handful of comics in my lifetime but still claim to be an avid fan of them. I buy from bookstore chains instead of the LCS. I don't watch cartoons anymore, but still hate on modern stuff like Adventure Time and SU. I loved Undertale and was around for the Kickstarter. My main boards are /pol/, /mlp/, and /r9k/. /co/ is fourth. I literally can't stop baneposting.
>>79708550 The reasoning there was that Supergirl just lacked the mental barriers Superman imposed on himself, so she used her powers without any restraint and that made Superman look like the weaker guy.
If Superman cut loose, he'd definitely be the stronger one.
my favourite comic books are Dragon Ball, Tintin, Akira, and Hellboy i kinda felt sorry for the jews in Maus i only buy back-issues i think deadpool is the most op character, and is also shit i also think batman is the only good DC character, yet DC have less piss-you-off worthy stories than Marvel
>>79707833 >I can't stand Grant Morrison, easily the most overrated creator in the industry >I think Miller's Daredevil is INSANELY dated and doesn't stand up at all to Bendis' or Brubaker's run >I don't think that Cap 2 is the best superhero movie of the year it came out, not even second best
>>79711142 >i kinda felt sorry for the jews in Maus >Implying feeling bad for the jews in Maus is a sin or some sort of unpopular opinion Aside from Art Spigelman's father, whom is supposed to make you feel bad for Art having to grow up with him, that was the purpose of the book.
>Steve Dillon Same, though it comes with some expectations on the content.
>Bought a bunch of trades though most remain unread, same with some of my subscriptions >Fandoms have turned me off of series I used to like, even though I don't really interact with them. >Religiously hateread a bunch of comics for lack of a better term.
Forgive me Father Hulk, for I feel as if I've been broken. I made it through Sins Past and even One More Day but yet I think Spider-Verse broke me. Ever since it came out I've stopped giving a shit about most comics Marvel has been putting out. It was just so...so awful. Never has an event left me feeling so awful and letdown. >>79709187 I feel pretty similar anytime I see something of a ship that's not /co/ related so I know that feel. It's also a canon one so it's even more irrational but ever since I first saw it I hated it.
>>79713817 Well most of this doesn't seem that ba-- >Ive stolen over twenty transformers toys from Walmart and Family Dollar As a /toy/ soldier, I'm fairly disgusted. Though I agree with you on about half of these.
I read cape comics more out of a sense of obligation than real enjoyment. The cyclical nature of things (how there's no real "progress," how everything is destined to be reset or reinvented, etc.) just turns me off of the whole thing.
I liked Claremonts run of X-Men years ago. The one with the normie nurse.
I hate anything Batgod related. I also think TDKR was shit. Bats is at his best when he's street-level/detective.
I've been more into webcomics lately even though most of those are shit too. There are zero good gaming related webcomics.
I'm not furry at all but I can't help but have some of my enjoyment of good furry shit (Blacksad, Maus, etc.) be tainted by the fetish fandom.
Forgive me Hulk for I have sinned. I own all four volumes of American Virgin and thought Girls was an interesting story when I first read it about ten years ago. Been doing penance for the second one ever since.
Around Christmas time (early November I believe) I went to ToysRUs for a present for me fiancee. There was only one checkout line open so I stood in it with my one item. I saw, against the wall by the front door, there were four carts full of different toys looking to be stocked. The guy in front of me had a pretty stacked cart himself. During his checkout he told the lady all these things that gave him a discount, he was a rewards member, a Veterain, small business owner, coupons, and shit like that. His price without the discounts was $1700, after his discounts he only paid $600...
Turns out, all those toys in the shopping carts against the walls were all his.
I have never been more disgusted in my life by this douchebag, he was even rude to the casher.
>Can you hurry? I would like to get out of here before you close. >MFW it was 1 p.m.
I started talking with him wondering why he was buying so much, and I shit you not, this is what he told me
>I do this every year, I hit all 10 ToysRUs in the Sacramento area and buyout the toys I know people will want for Christmas, and I sell them all online for a slightly discounted price. I make so much money that I don't need to work for the rest of the year.
He later said that his wife still had a job though which made me even more mad.
After I was rung up I walked outside and saw the guy get into his SUV. I wish I took a picture of this thing. It was FILLED with toys. He couldn't see out of any of his windows besides his driver side and the front.
I refuse to read comics written by women post 2009 I dislike Miles Morales but I keep reading his comics I like CatDog After watching the Steven Universe/Uncle Grandpa crossover I prefer watching Uncle Grandpa
I think SVE, Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe are shitty meme shows with no substance, designed (with little effort) to cater to tumblr/reddit/co. The more people try to force it, the more I dislike it.
>>79718994 You're actually missing out on Ms. Marvel. Decent, but I fear it'll soon die because Kamala is being raped by Marvel itself. Me too, just because of Ultimate Spider-man. Real Spider-man. I liked it as a kid. I watch neither.
>>79718979 Not really, amusing as being a 6'4 Chinese dude is, I find myself cramped in basically anything I sit in, luckily I haven't flown in years, I imagine it must be a nightmare since the airlines have been trying to shrink seating spaces even further.
>>79719068 Wait I actually do read Ms.Marvel, it's the exception. I just remembered two more I've never read an Ant-Man comic but I went to the movie just because it had ants in it. I did jump on the currently running comic though I avoid any current X-Men books.
>Warren Ellis gave Moon Knight the best run he's ever had (this is coming from a huge MK fan) >Annihilation>Infinity Gauntlet >Spider-Gwen is the best Spidey costume >UItimate Spider-Man is legitimately fantastic (Original Ultimate, not Morales) >Most DC heroes are utterly uninteresting
>>79707833 >I watched the first season of Legend of Korra before I watched The Last Airbender. While I'd say TLA Season 3 was the best of the predecessor series, I find the Legend of Korra ultimately the better of the two.
>I find Empowered to be the most interesting female lead in a female lead superhero comic.
>I like Uncle Grandpa for the occasional watch.
>From 2008-2011 most of my knowledge of the Marvel Universe came from the Ultimate Alliance Videogames. Those side quests where they go through origin stories really enlightened me.
>I like Drake Bell as Spider-man.
>Miles Morales is my favorite Comic Book character, but I don't know what happened to him after Galactus, nor do I know where to keep up.
>My main reason to read comics is to have something to talk about at my FLGS after I'm done with 40k, so that I may look cool among my peers.
The only comics I like are ones like All Star Superman. A lot of comics have wonderful ideas and characters, but I hate the writers so much because their awful attempt at scripting and writing makes 99% of comics unbearable and eye-rolling to an extreme degree for me. I like the snappy liners in Whedon Avengers because to me it felt like it was still a comic book movie and not a hamfisted attempt to make us take it all too seriously Deadpool is a good idea, with poor execution. Gwenpool is similarly flawed. The only good Batman is Justice League Batman. Yes, the cartoon one. I think there is nothing wrong with Steven Universe, Adventure Time, or any of the other shows /co/ collectively gets pissy about because their favorite shows like GLTAS and YJ get canned for retarded reasons. I like TTG in sparing. The episode where they infiltrate HIVE kills me.
I can barely tolerate the Batfleck suit. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the attention to detail, but the fact that it borrows so heavily from Miller's Batman while everyone else's design is fairly original bothers me. It's like mixing art styles in comics. You can tell it's by the same person, but the effect is still jarring.
I haven't read a non-superhero or sci-fi comic in over three years. Not for lack of trying, but I can't seem to find anything that piques my interest that doesn't feel pretentious or self-important. Maybe I just can't get into "indie" books anymore.
>>79725248 I probably should have. It was all we had to eat though so I had to deal with it for a night.
It didn't taste awful but it was kinda slimy. The texture also wasn't pleasing in the slightest. But worse of all, sauce would hardly mix in because it was mostly one big clump you had to mash before thinking about getting sauce in it. I don't even know how it happened, he's normal a decent cook.
>>79725405 May have forgotten about it, boiling shit usually takes a while and you generally aren't actively doing shit while waiting so he might have just done something else and forgot to set some sort of reminder.
