It just felt too fucking disjointed. I like it when the side plots all sort of come together. I love Pete and Billy, but this episode felt mostly like setup for the next episode, weaker as its own independent thing. Just what I got out of it, I'm a hardcore fan, but this would have been like a bottom 10 episode for me personally. Will rewatch it later, but it just didn't sit well on the first viewing.

So a recap

Because of Dr. Venture's new position, he's considered a high tier target for the Guild and the Monarch had his arching rights against Venture revoked (The Monarch being a low numbered villain).

The Monarch is now going around trying to convince higher leveled Guild members to allow him arching rights against Dr. Venture. He realized that no villain he comes across will allow this, so we'll most likely switch to becoming an anti-hero / vigilante of sorts who goes around killing villains. Lucky for him, the Monarch discovered a secret Batcavesque lair underneath his old house.

The Monarch's old house was owned by his parents, obviously, but that means that his parents must have been superheroes or supervillains.

Meanwhile, we also learn that White Wale is the brother of Dr. Dugong, a hero who the Monarch (presumably illegally) killed while arching him. Either the White Wale knows or doesn't know about this. If the White Wale does know about this, it makes sense that we see, in the first episode of this season, that he is planning something against the Monarch.

Hank, Dean, Billy, Pete, ect. do something too, but lets be honest, the monarch's story this season seems like its gonna be godly.

10/10. Perfect Billy/White plot, forward momentum for all characters, a Trainspotting reference that didn't suck and St. Cloud being a fucking monster. We got to see the absurdity of arching from all sides tonight.
