tv spot for civil war on superbowl
Antman vs Hulk on superbowl
Continued from >79662112
They should have polished up the cgi on this scene. Marvel fucked up their biggest chance
I liked the hand glove thing though
It's a watch, I think. Like the one he has in the comics. But this one only turns into a fingerless glove for repulsion. pretty neat balance between zany comics and the more realistic tone in these movies.
Kinda remind me of Mark 8 suit up scene in first Avengers.
>First time I use that joke
>Other people have thought the same as me
>Makes it even funnier
fucking kek man, why the hell does it look so bad? Why the hell is BP CGI in the first place? You can't tell me he doesn't look like a Power Ranger in that shot.
not in the MCU, I don't think
To be fair, in AoU it had the smallest percentage of the CGI budget it ever had, since the movie was almost 80% CGI. IM3 is clearly where they spent top dollar on it. Civil War looks good, but not as good (believable) as Im3, for the same reason.
every single movie has expanded the mobility. Im1 had the basic garage assembler, im2 had the suitcase (but couldn't fly). A1 had the flying jetpack delivery thing. Im3 had the modular rocket thing and A2 had the satelity launcher for it and the Hulkbuster. It stands to reason that they keep upgrading it for CW as well.
How is that hard to notice? It looks so fucking bad.
>Why would they have to spend money in the first place, no cgi was needed
>even the cgi suit looks bad
where's all the details? I'm honestly upset they fucked up BP like this. I was actually hyped about BP, up until they showed the helmet.
>a potential new fan is not welcome because he thinks marvel did something wrong, and marvel cant possibly fuck up
Shy are you guys so delusional? I'm honestly shocked by this. Do you just eat up anything marvel throws out?
Ignore the power rangers from pic related, just look at BP in that shot. It looks bad. There was that promo art of all the detail on his helmet, but for some reason in the actual movie its no where to be seen. Why do you guys defend this?
no he does not, anon.
look at pic related, and then look at >>79666940
Regardless of how bad this movie turns out, marveldrones are still going to defend it. I promise its going to be nothing like they hyped it up to be, and it will be best the best in their eyes. Screenshot this now, it's 100% correct.
Minus the Hydra stuff Tony is generally more right in the big picture stuff, kind of why he's the futurist and shit. Though dunno just how close to the registration act they're going for with this.
This, not to mention Ross (who experimented on people and made Abomination and never got punished for it), The World Council who wanted to nuke New York and also got BTFO by Pierce and Hydra (who caused a mess which Steve and friends had to clean up), and motherfucking Zemo are the people who Tony (who didn't even get a slap in the hand for Ultron) is siding with.
Don't get me wrong Cap's team fucked up with Crossbones, they are like an unregulated private militia, and Bucky even though is a victim of Hydra is also a potentially dangerous mess.
But I'll take Team Cap over unregulated constant fuck ups with power who want to control everything and will most likely end up getting BTFO by Zemo and Hydra.
>The movie made it harder to choose sides than the actual comic
You should be asking "What exactly is right with it?", because that's the real question we want to know. Its honestly stupid that people were spreading that image around like it was the greatest suit to ever be made for a superhero, and now you see no difference in those two images. You are proving my point. Regardless of how shit it turns out to be, you will defend it. It will not live up to the hype.
>He dislikes marvel
>Must be a jealous dc fan
Well everyone basically had to make a stupid decision during the comic version to make it keep spiraling out of control, they only have 2 hours or so for this to all play out, so make it concise and less ridiculous probably.
The movie is a single self contained story written by actual writers while the comic was written by Millar who was obviously biased to the pro-reg while the tie-ins were mostly a bunch of butthurt fanboys who were biased towards Cap's side and kept demonizing Stark and spoiling shit from the main comic (and editors didn't give a shit).
It was a mess.
Stark goes full on nazi fascist in the comic and lets himself be manipulated emotionally by some onery cunt. Cap is retarded in it too, everyone is, but it's not very hard to choose sides.
Enough space for air battles, anon. Also some cover for the ground battles. Did you want the golden gate bridge? That could only go well.
Also, FUCKING CAPTCHA AND STREET NAME SIGNS.
I am 100% sure the reason RDJ jewed for more screentime in CW was because he wanted to be in a good MCU movie again.
He basically did. RDJ, Evans and ScarJo all complimented the Russos a lot. I don't think they got along well with Whedon's control freak nature. At this point, the actors know more about the characters than the directors, and the Russos let the actors do their thing. Whedon is much more controlling and kept re-writing shit on the day. It helps that the Russos are actually 4 of them to distribute the task, but it also helps that each one of them would wipe the floor with Whedon.
The only actors I've seen praising/being praised by Whedon were Rufallo and Olsen, who were both cast and directed for the first time by him. Hemsworth doesn't have enough neurons to form opinions, I don't think. Also he's an Aussie, so he's chill as fuck by nature.
But at some point Whedon and Evans must have butt heads. Whenever Mackie asked if Evans' favorite line was 'Language' he scoffed and dismissed it. Fuck Whedon. Let him go back to doing one note characters in Firefly where it actually fit.
Russos Gunn and Waititi master race.
What the fuck was this?
Ant-Man may as well have turned to the camera and said: "When I go avenging, sometimes I like to go for a nice Coca-Cola." Nice blatant product placement, Marvel.
Bucky's probably in conflict his programming and hesitating or shorting out during the whole thing while Tony is buying time to pull that watch gizmo.
That's the only way I can see it, shit, Bucky could punch Tony hard enough to snap his neck or cave his head in, fuck the gun.
>Holy shit he was going to shoot me in the face
Bucky looks like he's being controlled here.
> Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch in the Sanctum Sanctorum.
> "Stephen, I'm having trouble controlling my hex power!"
> "Wanda...its all fine, just chill", (opens a can of coke while leviating), "here, have a can of refreshing coke, it's the Refresher Supreme." (chucks can and grins)
"Thanks, Stephen, you best teacher girl could hope for."
"In so many ways..." (turns to camera dirty smile).
Why do people still believe this? No one cares about Spiderman being introduced into the MCU, normies don't know the difference. They had a reboot not even 5 years ago, and now there's a new one? Rushed clusterfuck is rushed.
Precisely nothing happened 2 minutes after this, what the fuck?
>Tony is able to stop a super powered assassin from putting a bullet in his face without having to go full armor.
Honestly I feel like this movie is going to make Tony great again.
>Captain America and Bucky are about to fight Iron Man
>"I'm sorry Tony, he was my friend."
>"So was I."
>"And sometimes I like to share a nice Coke with my friends as well."
>(grabs a coke and tosses one to Bucky)
>(they both take a sip)
>"Don't I get one?" Tony asks.
>Cap gets a serious look on his face.
>(Coke logo appears on screen as the three of them are about to fight)
I know this is cringey as fuck but I couldn't help myself, dammit.
They aren't exactly marketing it as the superhero registration act are they? It's almost purely Cap and Bucky v Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers are kind of just thrown in because why the hell not.
Just when I thought /co/ couldn't find another thing to bitch about with the MCU, this comes up. Christ, can't you people just enjoy the films and stop being such hypercritical, anti-fun douchebags?
I mean the movies have problems, but enough is enough.
>Not going with the BEST TEAM
Accept it, Iron manlets, Hydra would take over more easily if there's "controlled" heroes.
>WHERE IS THE TRAILER MARVEL!!???
I'm with you, anon. It disturbs me greatly that Marvel is using their comic book characters to market junk food to unsuspecting children.
>Why doe he care if his one and only best friend of all time and the only thing still standing in the world from his original life on the 40's gets killed?
>#TeamCap trending worldwide
>#TeamIronMan nowhere to be found
Where were you when Robert Downey Jr. is kill?
>Buttblasted b8 was actually good for something once.
k that silver suit on BW looks sexy
still doesnt beat Scarlet Witch though
Grabbing the gun is badass.
Shooting the tank in Im1 was badass.
Most other things he's punching down way too much.
It's nice seeing him getting punched or at least earn his punches.
>Whenever Mackie asked if Evans' favorite line was 'Language' he scoffed and dismissed it.
Yeah it was obvious Evans didn't care much about that line and forced joke thorough the movie and I guess Whedon added that "Fury you son of a bitch" line later on for laughs but it was so fucking weird and didn't work.
If anything Cap is a guy who is used to hearing bad words, he ran with Bucky and the Howling commandos and was around soldiers during WWII and soldiers have the filthiest mouths.
That said I am fine with Cap saying bad words as long as he doesn't say them often.
On the topic of Coke I do like the look of the cans.
Bucky is no doubt messed up from Winter Soldier programming, he can't benefit from Cap restoring his mind via cosmic cube like comics.
Bucky is a pretty dangerous individual especially since he's also being followed and hunted down by Hydra and other interested parties, as far as he's concerned Tony is out to kill him so with that mentality in mind it's understandable why he would shoot Tony in the face.
But yeah that's just going to make Tony and everyone that's not Steve more convinced that Bucky is a danger.
I get it. You're so hyped on Ant-Man in the film you posted a pic that only he could see.
>Ironman visor is him flying
>Ant-man visor is an ant
I'm very okay with these cans
That's his left hand, which is probably also kind of unwise, a hot ejecting cartridge is not something you want to touch your skin generally. But I think the main point was to point his gun into his glove.
Are they going to make an s7 version of this? I think the s7 is launching later this month, the movie is obviously a few months away so lots of time to let the regular version sink in.
The coke thing creeps me out. I mean advertising always creeps me out. Doesn't matter how good the ad is. Better ads are just ads that are better at manipulating you. Especially coca-cola. Those guys have been around for ever and they've mastered every emotional technique. So seeing this thing, man I don't know. Stay away from it guys. That there's danger.
Nah anon you need to chill. With a nice cold can of Coca-Cola.
Saw someone saying advertising might not be part of the SONY deal. I don't think that makes any sense, but I'm sure the arrangement is 100 page document that can only be understood by people who speak lawyer.
Movie deal and advertizing deal are two different deals, basically. Remember that both Marvel and Sony have juggernaut marketing departments that are much much bigger than their comic-book studios.
Each time spider-man is mentioned or shows up, Sony will try to make a case for 25% or something like that. Those things can't possibly be gauged since Spiderman is traditionally the most popular hero and the new toy, but also the only one with underperforming movies.
Also, Marvel has a proven track record of low marketing costs (up until AoU, anyway) and still hit the mark on the revenue. Sony spent as much in marketing as it did in production for TASM2 (which should be roughly the same values AoU spent with all the ad spam), but only got half the revenue, so there's a bit of dick measuring to be expected.
Their best way to do this is to give Marvel the Avengers-related marketing money, and Sony the Spider-man-related marketing money. Balance things out by having spider-man in cap's ads and later on having RDJ on spideys, if they chose to pay him for a cameo.
But bureaucracy is never easy nor clean. The later they show him, the better for me.
Spiderman also markets to kids a lot more with web shooters and shit I guess so it kind of screws with the super serious tone so far I think, even though I suppose he'll be in serious scenes as well.
All these adults beating the shit out of each other then some kid shows up either kicking or getting his ass kicked and such.
>The Antman costume looks stupid
> Scarlett Witch looks amazing
>Falcon is pre good
>War Machine's armor is fantastic even tho war machine a shit
>Iron Man looks ok
This looks better than I thought it would.
>Vision in a suit
So they blew a different load the the ones I thought they were gonna blow.
Does it look to anyone else like Tony is stopping him from shooting someone else? It just seems odd the amount of time Tony has to put the glove on. Unless the glove being put on is a shot from earlier in the film which sets up that the glove is a thing and they've just cut it together.
Maybe T'Challa is there speaking with Stark, after the Accords have been signed, looking to get even with Bucky. Bucky attacks, Tony stops it. Bucky escapes and we get our on foot chase scene.
Could be a bunch of Hydra people on trial, Bucky could be having a mental breakdown and about to shoot random people, could be congress-type people deciding what to do about him or something.
updated since its not getting enough attention.
Kind of works better too because how the fuck are they going to control him destroying another city? Since Asgard is going to die anyways with the Ragnarok, might as well have a good chunk of it be because of Hulk.
I think it's more that the opposing side wants to kill Bucky.
I'd bet if Stark was like "Ok Steve, if you can get him to come in peacefully, I'll convince the government to give him a fair trial. Even though he was brainwashed, he'll probably still have to serve time, so I'll organize to have a super prison, where no one can get to him, without your permission. He'll serve his time safely and then you two can go see a talking picture show, or whatever you old times do." then Steve would be fine with it and there wouldn't be a split between Stark and Cap.
It also starts with a school being sort of nuked so tensions are way higher than just people fighting over a brainwashed assassin. Though I guess they're trying to make it similar with an apparent bombing and all the damaged cities when the Avengers have to fight shit.
