I think it's save to say from the Sneak Peek that the onl role Beast Boy will have is being one half of "those two guys" with Blue Beetle while Raven will bond with Damian over their shitty family issues and become his waifu.

I think it has more to do with the movies trying to be in line with the comics (see Cyborg being in the League) plus doing a recognizeable Titans roster based on the cartoon that more people saw than people read the comics.
