Damn it posting in the last thread got me fucked.
32 motherfuckin seconds late. Getting real triggered here
Next one you'll get it!
...but your nothing but an outfit.
yeah was a bit slow there was finishing a game.
>You will never havw a threesome with the twins.
>Or a harem with them.
>Or a back massage.
And your nothing but a fucking barbie doll for some Clockwork Orange wannabe.
You watch your filthy whore mouth about Neo
>He thinks best boy shouldn't be above Pyrrha
One day. Maybe not today but one day I'll get you.
Is there more femanon stuff?
At least well always have Baked Alaska.
Literally why is Pyrrha perfect? Does she have any actual flaws?
Blake's secluded and lets guilt eat her and is way too serious
Ruby isn't serious enough sometimes
Weiss can be a bitch
Yang can be hotheaded and impulsive
Pyrrha's kind, understanding, serious when she needs to be but can still have fun. She understands the weight of her situation and is genuinely apologetic for the few mistakes she ends up making.
Where are her flaws? She has character drama but she's almost too perfect. Is saying sorry a lot a flaw? Literally the perfect waifu.
> Oh c'mon, they've hinted that Emerald has a good heart since her first appearance.
I really don't see it. She pickpockets, kills and deceives without complaint. I've never seen any hint of her even having empathy, besides her recent reaction to the attack. And even that isn't really conclusive.
> but when Merc teases her about stealing from a poor citizen with nothing else to their name she gets annoyed
She was annoyed at him for teasing her. She gives no fucks about her pickpocket victims. She even says that "every city" is rife for pickpocket opportunities.
Maybe I'm just over-analysing this because I like Emerald and thus pay more attention to what people say about her, but she seems to be really divisive. You've got some fans claiming that she'll betray Cinder and outright join the good guys (even before her comment this episode), then you've got other fans who just think she's bad.
I wonder why she's so divisive? The other villains don't seem to get this treatment.
Pyrrha's character is the "lonely at the top" archetype. She's the invincible girl, on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's. Because of all this success though, people don't relate to Pyrrha as Pyrrha, they relate to her as a champion - an undefeatable warrior. She's similar to Weiss in that regard, but Weiss also has this big family legacy thing to uphold. All Pyrrha has is the legacy of Pyrrha.
In turn this leads to what >>79462166 said, she's a giant doormat because she really wants to have meaningful social interaction.
Not completely true. Yu Yu Hakusho's Tournament arc was well justified imo, but for the most part yeah.
Pyrrha becomes less socially competent the more her prowess makes her unapproachable. Being in a team makes it hard to understand that aspect.
Emerald is a city rat. Lying and stealing are simple facts of survival in her world and there's no use getting teary eyed over it. What's happening now isn't survival. It's a massacre, one she can very easily be at the receiving end of should she cease to be of any further use.
'Cause cute Waifus. That's it, that's the reason.
She also doesn't seem to enjoy being a villain to the extent that Roman, Neo and Mercury do. They really seem to have fun when it comes to prospect of killing people.
But mostly it comes down to shipping I think.
You could probably do a lot with the twins.
Give them Semblances that complement and help each other when together while also help themselves when apart.
Give them weapons that combine
>It's still bigger than my keyboard
You must have a small ass keyboard then.
>and has two triggers
Some guns really do have two triggers. It's sometimes a safety feature but is usually for guns that have two barrels. It just so happens that Ironwood's gun has two barrels. Fancy that.
So how do you guys think the last few episodes will go? Will everything go according to Cinder's keikaku, or will things genuinely go wrong for her? Will it be another Breach (the good guys get out of it with no permanent damage done, but Cinder makes it clear that her plans are still overall on track), or will we have some actual consequences for a change?
Rewatching the Dark World Tournament Arc in Yu Yu Hakusho right now, I'm fine with that because of the lead up to the fight with Toguro.
The entire thing seems like an entire training arc for Yusuke to get stronger so he can stand a chance against him when Toguro goes all out.
I love the Tournament Arcs in DB. The one 22nd Tournament with Tien will always be a favorite. Also the Tournament seem like a bunch of Nonsense fun , while at the same time showing the skills of each participant.
>Not completely true. Yu Yu Hakusho's Tournament arc was well justified imo, but for the most part yeah.
Yea, but YYH was actually good.
I need to rewatch it, it'be been 2-3 years since I last watched it.
I too have the Neo for my beaconship this week.
They can avoid making it Breach 2.0 just by having either party (good or bad) actually have something change overall for them. Maybe Beacon is so badly damaged that the student body gets split up amongst the different academies while repairs are underway. Maybe Cinder's plans genuinely fall apart, with no real backup in place, and we see whoever it is she's working with/for finally step up to the plate.
It is a massacre, and she's obviously staggered by the scale of it. But I think it's jumping to a conclusion (based on current evidence) to think that she'll switch sides over it. She did help it to come that far herself, and doesn't go beyond saying it's "almost sad".
Also, I don't see how Emerald would stop being useful to Cinder. She's arguably been Cinder's most useful minion so far, in fact. And given that the Fall Maiden powers obviously don't make you invincible, Cinder still needs allies even if she gets full Fall powers.
She was being a smug shit when in the round against Coco and Yats. Then there's the joking over Tukson.
In my view, she's just a bit less prepared for what they're doing than the others, or might have a tiny bit of empathy in her. But, in. The face of her precious characterisation, I don't think she's morally good enough to defect.
Some idiot posted his theory about Jaune being kept out of combat school because of his special semblance.
Someone made a joke about Pyrrha having a secondary cockblocking semblance designed to keep Jaune's semblance locked.
People then decided that Jaune had a semblance that allowed him to rape people when Pyrrha's aura was exhausted and that he would save the day by mind breaking Cinder.
It was horrid and kind of funny at the same time.
Pyrrha is too high, Blake isn't low enough.
I'm hoping that things mostly go right for Cinder. The good guys salvage the situation so they're not completely fucked, but otherwise Cinder is left with the upper hand, leading to a Volume 4 about making a plan to fight her.
At least that's what I hope. I have the feeling that Pyrrha is going to overall succeed with the Maiden transfer, and defeat Cinder and her forces.
She seems to be rather dependent on others to do anything that's not in her comfort zone. If presented with something outside of it, an unexpected situation, she basically shuts down and needs someone else to get her back up from that.
She has literally based her whole identity around becoming the perfect huntress, upholding ideals etc. After being torn from her planned path, she basically crashed and currently she's trying to claw back to it, any way possible, causing her to be in a very vulnerable position at the moment.
> first RWBYg openly praises RWBY
> now it is increasingly common for people to like Cinder
Okay, what have you people done with the real RWBYg?
Is this even real? Am I under a hallucination semblance, right now?
>Junior this high
You're alright guy. Don't go to beacon tomorrow
I'm one of the few guys that actually likes Cinder. I like her voice to.
>You will never be an Atlesian soldier
>You will never hold the line
>You will never strike down Grimm, White Fang Scum, and Traitorous Robots with your comrades
>You will never smell the fulrfury scent of dissolving Grimm on the air inbetween the wisps of ionized air from your pulse rifle as you tear through the endless bone-covered jet-black mass of hatred with the light of mankind's ingenuity and defiance
>You will never line up a cuffed group of White fang prisoners to use as bait to draw a group of Ursa into a minefield
>You will never distract a Deathstalker so a sniper can blows it's brains out with an Anti-material rifle from five blocks down
>You will never see your battle-buddy get struck down and fly into a furious rage, tearing the guts from the body's of White Fang cretins and bashing apart AK-200's with the butt of your gun
>Your broken squad will never rally as the previously though deceased General Ironwood shows up again, crushing an Ursa's skull with his bare hands and giving out a thunderous battle yell as he commands you to charge against the huge mass of Grimm that had been pushing you back
>You will never sing a Remantized version of 'Men of Harlech' with your fellows while you hold the last line there is to hold while the dropships evacuate as many civilians as they can
>You will never go out taking as many White Fang with you as possible as you watch the last airship fly away with the last of your comrades and civilians to Atlas
The problem being that they come as a double act, you can't have one without the other and that kind of hinders what you can realistically do with them. Also given that their characterisation up to now is "whatever" I can't imagine a situation where they'd care enough to do something.
It might also just be that the top barrel (with a slide) performs normal shots while the bottom barrel (revolving chamber) caused the explosion we saw when he lifted up the Alpha beowulf.
>Cinder is left with the upper hand
Here's my problem with this: I feel like this has been the way EVERY FUCKING VOLUME has ended. "The good guys have one the battle, but the bad guys still have a Keikaku for the war!" A perfect way to have a conclusive victory for the good guys while also not feeling like, "Buh, good guys are always winning!" is to make the victory costly, hence why Beacon is going to be badly damaged in this season. On top of all of that, admit it, seeing Cinder freak the fuck out would be cool and actually be surprising considering how cool she's been this entire season, and if it were to be followed by us catching a glimpse of the party behind her power, it would actually feel like a genuine upping of the stakes.
>"hurr da military is bad"
>"theyr jus a bunch of bullies"
>"all dey do is shoot stuf"
Says every politician who thinks their cushy lifestyle gives them any right to talk shit about people who do things most people wouldn't even have nightmares about.
> I like her voice to.
There's a few other people who like her voice, but it feels like more people than usual are liking her in general, recently. Att least on RWBYg (as if I go anywhere else for RWBY discussion anyway).
I guess her recent keikaku attacks have won people over.
So I'm still confused.
Wasn't Ironwood in on it from the beginning?
I don't know why but I really like Junior for some reason. hes always top 20 on my beaconship.
My love for Cinder is overshadowed by my Yang faggotry
That's sort of what I'm talking about, Roman, Neo and Mercury are really into what they do, why Emerald is just a little shit about it, so this mass killing is something that she would not be up for.
My biggest worry for a possible Emerald redemption is that it would be a total freebie, that it will cost her nothing. I would want it to be less "I totally see how everything I've done with my life is wrong, but I'm sorry so everything is forgiven" and be more "I'm a completely horrible person, but even I have to admit that this is going too far, but after all of this is resolved I'm just going to fuck off and keeping being a piece of shit."
I'm beginning to think a large part of RWBYg and the RWBY fanbase in general is severely mentally handicapped with how much people struggle to understand what happens in the show when its so simplistic.
LOGH goes into it pretty good.
The military is necessary in all but the most idealistic of worlds, its members should be respected and treated well following their retirement, and in matters of defense and war itself the Government should heed the advice of the military, and not let political gain dictate military policy.
However, the military must for the preservation of democracy remain separate from and controlled by that government in totality. From budget to judiciary matters, like all institutions the military cannot be considered fit to judge its own worthiness.
Here's what's going to happen:
>Ruby is initially overpowered by Neo and Roman, but somehow managed to defeat them. Either she gets help or it turns out that she's been a Maiden the whole time and activates her power when on the ropes.
>Blake and Adam have a big fight, with the latter making fun of her for siding with the humans the whole time. Weiss steps in and the two of them manage to overpower him. Lesson on the importance of friendship and forgiveness ensues.
>Something goes very wrong with Pyrrha becoming the Fall Maiden, even if Ozpin keeps Cinder and co at bay. This pushes Jaune over the edge and causes him to activate his Semblance, which turns out to be a rare and powerful one. Cinder takes note.
>Yang takes out the Grimm Dragon.
>Em uses her illusion powers to help the good guys. The rest of team CMEN may or may not find out about her betrayal.
>The good guys turn Merc's broadcast around and use it to their advantage, broadcasting their victory and inspiring the people. The surge in positive emotions weakens the Grimm.
>We catch a glimpse of whoever it is Cinder is working for.
If there's an Emerald redemption it should be something along the lines of
1. Shit is about to get completely fucked sideways to the nth degree.
2. Ruby is the only person there to stop it and can't do it alone.
3. Emerald after struggling with intense guilt shows up to lend a hand.
4. Ruby is disgusted with the idea of fighting alongside her but does it to save the day.
5. Afterwards people still don't like Emerald and she goes to jail, but begins to walk down the path of redemption.
Then maybe she could come back a couple volumes later or something.
> admit it, seeing Cinder freak the fuck out would be cool
Probably the main thing I like about her is her cool, subdued evil personality.
Though it might also be really cool to see her get angry while unleashing her full power. That would be pretty scary, I'd imagine.
Sure, but it's still a pretty evil thing to do.
She walked up to a man she didn't know, taunted him about his impending death t his face, then laughed about it afterwards. It's not quite the same as, say, Roman casually swatting cars off of the highway, but it's still a far cry from the actions of a good person.
That feeling when a volume late all that shit you wrote about Atlesian soldiers finally applies.
This feels a bit weighted to me, though, since a lot of the characters I don't really like were more often than not paired against the incidental characters that do fuck all.
I mean, Neo hasn't said a damn word ever and she still manages to be a bigger draw than pretty much every other character in the series.
This is very likely, and it would make for a nice character arc for Em. You might want to throw in Em using her Semblance to escape and wanders alone for a while before team RWBY begrudgingly takes her in.
>Ruby turns out to be the Winter Maiden in a tweeest
>The reason Ozpin let her come to his school wasn't that she just seemed pretty pro and had a good head on her shoulders, but that he took note of her silver eyes which are the sign of the next Winter Maiden.
I mean does she need too say anything? she beat the crap out of Yang, always looks amazing, has that adorable smug smile, took down an entire atlas ship on her own & is best buds with Roman.
I suspect Yang will come to Ruby's rescue when she's getting pinned down by Neo. This allows Yang to have her rematch and Ruby to stop Roman, which she'll do by the power of moe and cookies.
I want to do something RWBY related with this but I don't know what.
Hell no. That's my point. That it's kind of sad when someone who has had literally zero character development is a more well-rounded character than a lot of the others, especially the main 4.
Also the fact that I'm a sucker for cute little girls has something to do with it, too, I guess.
I can agree with that. Emerald turning could be very easy to get wrong. And I feel like even the pretty good-natured beacon students would struggle to forgive her after what she did.
She could perhaps not join the good guys and instead strike out for herself. But I don't see what use she would be to the story if she did that.
I dunno, she's only shown disdain to Ruby so far. I don't know if she'd go out of her way to rescue the Rubes. It'd certainly be a little abrupt, in my view:
>that top 10
Ironically, I feel like everything in your post aside from the fact that she's Winter is VERY likely to happen. In all Likelyhood she's the Summer Maiden (in the flashback, Summer's color pallete was the closest to hers on the spectrum), got the powers form her mother, SUMMER ROSE, and Ozpin realized that she'd inherited it and let her into Beacon early to keep an eye on her.
Like I said, I think some character positions are because others got paired up with incidental characters. I don't think I ever saw Reese against any actual important character at all, so she naturally won every pairup she was in, whereas Yang was often against characters I prefer. I mean, Yang is my least favourite of the four, but I wouldn't put her below some of the characters she is in the chart I got.
Doesn't Neo also have an illusion Semblance? How are they going to get around that. I was hoping that Either Sun or Fox would take her on because Sun Wukong was able to see through any tricks or disguises in Journey to the West and Fox seems to be blind.
>I don't know if she'd go out of her way to rescue the Rubes.
I'm not saying it's about Ruby. I'm saying in that scenario she would see that carnage and damage Cinder has caused and see Ruby killing herself trying to selflessly save the day and decide that she's on the wrong side. Its only Ruby in this scenario because she's the protagonist. The motivating factor for Emerald here is regret about what she has helped cause and desire to try and stop things going any further.
Beaconship is slightly flawed, because you can easily get a fairly meaningless character and go on a string where you prefer them to all the other meaningless characters until you hit a major character you actually like, and that can set the bar for the whole thing.
Her disdain has never been anything worse than what I would describe as a pretentious goth chick's attitude towards preps. Even then, she doesn't have to directly save Ruby. She just has to protect some bystanders or call Cinder out on how many innocent people are getting hurt.
Well that's the obvious thing to happen so it probably will. I just liked the idea of going with the opposite of what you'd expect and went with him specifically nothing her silver eyes as justification.
Additionally that feeling when you realize Penny isn't there for the other parts of your "how Vale getting fucked up would go" headcanons
I haven't been coming to the thread as much but if I do some Atlesian/Vale Militia things would people be interested?
That shouldn't matter though. It asks you which character you like more than every other character and then uses the idea that:
>They like Ruby more than Yang
>And they like Yang more than Weiss
>Ergo they like Ruby more than Weiss so we can skip that qeustion.
To eliminate unnecessary questions. If you're dissatisfied with the order then you picked wrong.
Her mother probably had silver Eyes. Some people also have noted that the Old Man seems to have silver eyes. I've also proposed the idea that Ruby is actually Spring (seems closest to her in demeanor and personality during the WOR episode) and that her mother's name being Summer was a red herring.
Cardin bullies and rapes Velvet right
then Coco rapes Cardin right Only for Coco to bully and rape Velvet
Also post best Faunus
You're blind if you haven't seen everybody guessing that her weapon is a camera that lets her copy every weapon she's taken pictures of at least temporarily. Remember Coco's comment during Breach that she's been building up her stockpile all semester? Coco was probably talking about her portfolio. Once the weapon is used she probably needs another picture for it to work.
If we want to go with the idea that they all become Maidens eventually (which seems likely).
Yang being Summer makes a lot of sense. Weiss being Winter makes a lot of sense. Ruby and Blake don't strictly fit any others but Ruby as the youngest and with the blooming rose motif etc works well enough for Spring and that leaves Blake as Fall by default.
I really want to see Velvet's weapon, they didn't place her in the team shot just to tease us right?
almost, except velv rapes coco because she hurt the bun's secret husbando
My first time doing it confused me. Ruby only came up once, but she still came up in my #1 spot
The camera is somehow going to be used for offense, maybe it creates copies of weapons she photographs or something
Ruby was pointing heroically while other Huntsmen ran past her. Like Oobleck said, this is a historic day for Remnant and Velvet just took the equivalent of pic related.
No, because unless you misclicked somewhere then it will be in the order of your preference. Who shows up first is irrelevant.
If your favorite character is the very last one to come up but you choose them over the character currently at the top then they'll be at the top.
It's literally asking you which character to prefer over the others in order, if its wrong that's on you.
Fuck yes, son.
Or a story about Atlesian special forces operators operating operationally.
I suppose not, but they just strike me as a case of characters with rather striking designs existing to have a fight with a main character in a promotional clip and appear once for five seconds in a quip with Neptune, in a show where almost every character except the teams introduced this season has served to do at least something of note beyond, well, fighting. Especially when the opening of the second volume featured them in that villain crawl, or whatever you could call it.
I'd just think it'd be a touch odd if they went unused.
I don't want team rwby to all be maidens. that's boring. It's narratively "likely" but boring.
What are some alternative power ups for when they finally level the fuck up?
Right, and I guess that having extreme highs and lows in a set of data doesn't warp averages, either, right?
To say that "This person likes A over B, and likes C over A, ergo he likes C over B" is flawed. It's akin to saying all birds are black just because all crows are.
okay, so we have snow white and rose red, and the talking bear. The bear is actually a prince, of course.
But who's the dwarf?
That would only be an issue if it was working off a points system and let you like two characters equally. It's a list of characters from your most liked to your least liked, if the list is wrong then you picked wrong. That's all there is to it.
>Operators operating operationally
I rushed to slap the cap together but I do have something I worked in in those old days of thinking Vale was going to get fucked by the train that might be what you had in mind.
I love it, the ice cream is the best part
OK, so Jaune is to be his successor. Ozpin snuck him into the school specifically for this purpose. This also poses the question as to who Ozpin was talking to at the start of the series. Some people think that the Old Man was one of the Brothers Grimm, but this show has shown that it's not unwilling to flip genders and/or to have characters that are composites of existing ones.
I was wondering how long it would take Sin to show up
Hopefully Vale gets mad fucked up so we can write STALKER/METRO-style greentexts about operatan' around in the ruins until Volume 4 coems out.
Do you guys think Cinder is one of the Color Nazis or are the writers saving that for another arc? M&K have confirmed that they had at least eight or nine volumes of overarcing story thought out with Monty before his passing, and they've also stated that they'll keep the show going as long as people watch it, which presents the chance for other villains unrelated to Cinder and the White Fang.
The thing is, when a match occurs affects the curve. Early any match can be made, but once it starts to get data it "assumes" based on that data. That is working as intended, but this does not mean results are as intended. This is how bit characters who get in early can shoot up in a list and even get ahead of main characters without beaconship actually comparing those two characters - which if they did the results would be different. It assumes every match has an absolute value, which I get is how the list building works but doesn't mean it's not a flawed result. Which is really endemic to any kind of "voting" system - but it's important to acknowledge that there are flaws.
>Hark! I hear the foe advancing,
beasts of darkness fiercely prancing,
Pale crowns in the moonlight glancing
Glitter through the trees.
>Men of Atlas, lie ye dreaming?
See ye not their white fangs gleaming,
While their banners gaily streaming
Flutter in the breeze?
>From the woods rebounding,
Let the war cry sounding
Summon all at Vytal's call,
The haughty foe surrounding,
> Men of Atlas, on to glory!
See, your standard famed in story
Waves these burning words before ye
"Remnant scorns to yield!"
You sure about that?
>yfw the color Nazis were actually the Reds and Blues
>yfw the first teams were the Freelance Agents
>yfw RvB is in the same universe as RWBY and RWBY is a continuation of RvB
Cinder isn't likely a color nazi since she fits the RWBY naming scheme and adheres to her color. That suggests that her parents fought against the color nazis and that she agrees with her parents since she is into the identity.
If velvet's camera can really copy other weapons she takes pictures of, how do they project thenselves? I'm imagining some sort of hologram that can hurt real people like the one in fallout new vegas.
I am absolutely certain that some tiny detail in a WOR means nothing to the show, yes. I can pick other stupid details to prove the maidens are other characters, look.
>Fall has a cape, obviously Ruby
>Spring wears a dress, definitely Weiss
>Winter likes being alone with her thoughts, who else does that? Blake, she must be winter.
Just because you can justify having a stupid theory doesn't make it true.
Is it just me or was Yang on the towards the spot, where we saw her and Raven at the end of volume 2?
On another note, does anyone have the links to that rwby rpg, that was made here ages ago?
There's just an element to liking things comparatively that can make the system come off as screwy to some people. Asking whether I like X or Y more, then Y or Z, then X or Z might yield conflicting results just because of the nature of comparison.
>I am absolutely certain that some tiny detail in a WOR means nothing to the show, yes.
>The people running the show make a big deal about how important this WoR is
>Completely refuse to analyze it
So you're suggesting the end of Volume 2 was not some sort of dream, but a glimpse of the future? I guess it's possible, but i imagine she'd show up after the mess gets cleaned up.
Does anyone else think we should have seen some of Cardin's team.
I mean sure their dicks but they're still huntsmen in training.
It would have been good to see people actually working together when it matters.
>You will never be executed by an Atlesian commissar for having too much negative emotion.
Here's a thought experiment for you.
A group of people must pick what they like best, A, B or C. Each person gets one vote. A and C are pretty similar, but B is wildly different. About 30% of people each vote for A and C, and about 40% vote for B.
B wins, even though 60% of people wanted something roughly similar to A or C.
You're forgetting the part that
A. Whoever controls the fall maiden's complete power needs to die thinking of Blake. Which means either Cinder or Pyrrha or both of them have to die.
B. 3 Other maidens have to die thinking about Weiss, Ruby and Yang respectively (or just WY if Ruby is already a maiden.
C. The fact that 4 maidens on one team is the most bullshit magical girl unrealistic shit ever to come out of a RWBY fan's fappings and RT would never commit to such a crap ass sort of "end result".
While they're not meant to be irredeemable, they're definitely meant to be unlikeable and kind of cowardly. I'm honestly putting my money into Cardin handing Jaune over to Cinder or just generally the both of them playing a role in something bad happening to Jaune is very likely. I mean, he's a dude based off of the Cardinal of Winchester AKA the guy who oversaw Joan's execution, and she's based off of fucking fire. Those are two people any Jeanne d'Archetype should stay the fuck away from.
Totally irrelevant as Beaconship doesn't use that system.
The issue of the majority not being truly represented in a first past the post voting system has nothing to do with one person creating an ordered list.
To be honest, I thought it could have been both. The end of volume 2 was more like an preview to me, while Yang could have dreamed of that encounter, after having been saved. Just one theory out of many.
You're probably right. They confirmed that they had eight or none volumes of content written out *before they had started scripting the first episode.* This is something a lot of writers working on franchises or longer stories do: They have a list of bullet points that need to be fulfilled for the overarcing story, and then put characters and fluff and suplots between them.
>C. The fact that 4 maidens on one team is the most bullshit magical girl unrealistic shit ever to come out of a RWBY fan's fappings and RT would never commit to such a crap ass sort of "end result".
You mean standard anime outcome?
While Jaune's name and symbol suggests he's meant to be Joan of Arc, we know his symbol isn't his and Crocea Mors belongs to two other figures which have no relation to Joan of Arc, the way he's going about things he may end up revealed to be based on
Nennius of Britaininstead.
Hmmm, do you think the person who gave her that glove (people are saying that it might be an evil version of the fairy godmother) might be one? Maybe once her plans fall flat too many times she gets betrayed? Or will we have an enemy mine situation where Cinder says something along the lines of, "I want to rule the world, not end it, and they want to end it!" sort of thing?
The proof is the multiple times that Monty said the tournament was supposed to be the end of the first season but they decided to expland it to 3 volumes. We go over this shit at least twice a week, pay attention.
But RWBY is a cartoon.
RT doesn't seem to be the one for stupid lazy amalgamations like that. There are stories that don't stick by the standard anime tropes.
Oh and the other 2 points/potential plot holes that you didn't address.
But, you're not actually creating an ordered list. Beaconship develops an ordered list based on a random order of matches you pick from. The result beaconship generates is most likely going to be different than if a person numbered the characters by hand.
Of course, numbering by hand presents a second problem, where people would have to actually figure out their own numerical order for characters, which can be difficult on its own. Not everyone can put a number on their opinion, especially if you start getting up into the higher results. Beaconship gets around that, but at the cost that you get these weird comparison chains.
ikr. There are multiple instances of fairy tale aesthetics. RWBY is the story of how RWBY became the four maidens and saved the world. Plus, Cinder's fight with Amber shows that while the Maidens are powerful, they're not omnipotent and can be overpowered with enough strategy, so there won't be TOO much power creep. Plus, even if all of RWBY becomes maidens relatively early on in the series, then they can pull some crap about how it takes years to actually master and properly call upon the power.
RWBY isn't one glorified training montage. More than anything, its a story of survival.
Don't let this whole maidens reveal sidetrack you, as you yourself said that being a maiden doesn't really make much of a difference. Some girls in RWBY can not be maidens and still be broken as fuck.
>The result beaconship generates is most likely going to be different than if a person numbered the characters by hand.
But that's exactly what Beaconship does. It asks you a series of questions about which character you like more than another and puts them in a list based on the order you chose. If the list is wrong then you clicked wrong, there is no calculation or formula that distorts things. If a character is in the wrong place then at some point you clicked wrong.
None of those other points were plot holes. Pyrrha has a ton of death flags and so does Cinder by virtue of being the current main antagonist. As for the others, we haven't met them, but there's no reason to believe they can't die.
This Anon gets it.
The Grimm are an excuse that exist only to justify everyone being able to fight. There is no survival. The humans/Faunus are the main antagonists.
Even if the maidens aren't too OP, that doesn't change the fact that there will be a BIG power discrepency if only part of the team gets the powers. Also, I believe that what really makes the Maidens dangerous is if they all combine their powers. A moment like that would only be fitting if all of the Maidens were on the same team.
She would do it unknowingly like always.
Combining powers is boring and vapid and takes away from the individual strength/abilities of a character, maiden or not. I want to see Yang punch things to pulp, not hover in the air with the rest of RWBY and summon the four elements of buttfuck. Its boring and lazy and takes way from the individualism of RWBY, and showing how each character is strong on their own.
Pyrrha's "death flags" are just warnings of a fall from grace and not some stupid character annihilation that would come much too soon for her character, while Cinder is going to exist for a long damn time by how she's been portrayed.
Killing these two characters this early is just weird and cuts the possible plot and story behind RWBY in like half. I don't consider it possible.
sauce on the full image of this? Google gives me nothing
So we didn't see Ironwood die, and there were gun shots going off as the ship went down.
Anyone else wr're going to see him self drag himself out of the wreckage with his clothes burnt up so that we can see his robo-arm.
Those arms are killing me. Its like two noodles being flung around
Still, only Ruby's and Blake's trailers had seasonal themes, and only the autumnal theme in Blake's is in keeping with the eye-color correlation. Ironically, her hypothetical thematic link to a maiden is the only one that is currently contested (by Pyrrha).
I'm surprised that anyone thinks Ironwood is even hurt. People in this show get kicked through buildings unharmed, and as a headmaster he is one of the baddest dudes around.
Why the fuck would anyone assume a mere helicopter crash would even scathe him? The issue is purely needing to find a new method of transport to go take his ship back.
It was never about eye color. It was eye shape. That being said, looking at how the trailers are split up, with Red in November, White in February, Black in Spring, and Yellow in June, they definitely had the season idea for a long time.
What if she just thinks of some other chick before she dies? Emerald?
So now we're killing all of the bad guys that have been introduced in the 2nd season of the show.
Just saying that is one hell of a reach and the "laws" for achieving maidenhood kinda make it hard for RWBY to get the power of fall to begin with.
Jumping through way too many hoops to try and make this happen, bud.
Better to have a contest between Pyrrha/Cinder over the power of fall and highlight Pyrrha's own cognitive dissonance and its effect on both RWBY and JNPR.
Black in March*
>What if she just thinks of some other chick before she dies? Emerald?
Plenty of time I said.
>So now we're killing all of the bad guys that have been introduced in the 2nd season of the show.
Her boss has yet to be introduced. Pay attention to that little detail.
>Just saying that is one hell of a reach and the "laws" for achieving maidenhood kinda make it hard for RWBY to get the power of fall to begin with.
>Jumping through way too many hoops to try and make this happen, bud.
And we have like nine season for it to happen. I was never saying it was going to be in the near future.
>Better to have a contest between Pyrrha/Cinder over the power of fall and highlight Pyrrha's own cognitive dissonance and its effect on both RWBY and JNPR.
And now you're suggesting focusing on a side character whose arc is almost done.
Holy shit who made these?
Pyrrha is a side character?
The longer the show goes on, sure. You could argue that the plot could snake and develop in that direction.
But its been about 2 months until we've even learned about the maiden's and people are trying to spin this RWBY 4-maiden dream team when we only know about a single confirmed maiden who currently has her powers splintered into two different vessels. I think people are getting erections for things that are much to theoretical.
I think he's referring to her lines back in Chapter 7, where during the black screens she sounds like she's talking like she's responding to someone. Along with saying stuff like "we will claim what is ours".
no clue, sorry
>But its been about 2 months until we've even learned about the maiden's and people are trying to spin this RWBY 4-maiden dream team when we only know about a single confirmed maiden who currently has her powers splintered into two different vessels. I'm not arguing it from the viewpoint of it being a dream team. Or something I even want to happen. I'm looking at it like this. There's a set of four superpowers exclusive to women, RWBY are an all female team with four memebers, the originals all look like Team RWBY, and every single plot point in this show has been so heavily foreshadowed that it is ridiculous. It's the simplest most obvious outcome. Like Blake being a Faunus, Penny being a robot, and Raven being Yang's mom.
How does this make you feel?
But it's not the "simplest most obvious outcome". People just look at similarities even when there is none, or when similarities are just coincidences.
It gives the false impression of simplicity when actuality its not anywhere near as straightforward. Just because you have four girls standing next to each other with similar poses do not mean that they're the same or spells some significant meaning.
Its the same dumb hype that happened when Pyrrha gave that grin in the elevator. No, she wasn't Neo.
Also it felt necessary to make this
>to many getting tied up and dommed by a stronger violent woman they would be terrified
>to Jaune its just another Saturday back home with his sisters
Doing it on Ruby's bed is just rude though.
>Time passes, and your view out of the front of the ship becomes obscured by smoke, distant flames and the crisscross of fighters engaging flying Grimm, screening for your approach. Fast and low enough to avoid as much attention as possible
>A check of the watch confirms fifteen minutes since departure
>The ship groans, and you feel your stomach lurch as the pilot begins to ascend
>To your surprise he passes straight up and past the docks of the Amity Colosseum , skirting the ship over top, and then back down into the arena proper
>The crackle of the forward gun igniting signals there are Grimm within, and is soon followed by the bulkhead opening
>The rush of air, crisp with the familiar scent of dissolving Grimm snaps you into the moment, as it always has
>You step off first, alongside your partner
>Sweep right, move forward to clear the gangway
>The ship rumbles to a momentary halt as the rest of your squad rushes out, taking up positions around the arena
>Your sights center on a beowulf moving into the open from one of the entryways, training and instinct mesh as you shout “Single Contact!”, center sights, and depress the trigger
>Your burst is joined by two others, the Grimm torn to shreds in a rush of fire
>You look past its dissolving corpse, seeing no more from that direction
>Over the periodic rattling of your comrades guns the commander grabs your attention, ordering you to escort the professor from the ship
>You jog back on board, finding him shaking, head in his hands and sobbing to himself... you again can't help but wonder what he's doing here, and further what any of you are
that guy no longer has a face its stuck too the bottom of Neo's shoe
>You grab him by the shoulder and haul him to his feet, carefully pulling him off of the ship and to the center of the arena where your commander awaits
>”Is this her?” He asks, not looking in either of your directions
>Your eyes follow his, down to the ground, a pile of recognizable parts... the absence of blood itself is the only thing that separates it from the phrase “bloody corpse.”
>The weight of the professor increases, he falls to his knees, hand over his mouth as the sobbing resumes in earnest
>You can hear him mutter under his breath as he nods, bringing your attention back to the body
>You recognize her. She'd been with Ironwood on certain days, waved to your squad, and every other one they'd passed.
>It was a bright smile, unfitting of a soldier. You'd assumed she was a Huntress, one from some other country; Atlesians don't smile like that when a general is around after all
>Circuits, wires, and the metal beneath torn “Flesh” make what she was clear enough
>Even still, as others move in to collect the parts and you help the professor to move back onto the ship, you can't help but wonder “Who” she had been
>But it's not the "simplest most obvious outcome".
It is though.
> Just because you have four girls standing next to each other with similar poses do not mean that they're the same or spells some significant meaning.
No but the four people with powers and similar appearances and personalities does.
Well the lyrics one I made, if you were asking.
Oh for fuck's sake, yeah I see the shape correlation now that you point it out. Dammit if that's actually supposed to be a link I'll hate it, it's so gimmicky.
The chronological spacing of the trailers I have to view ambiguously. Yes it perfectly lines up for Weiss and Yang (and I completely forgot about the "I Burn" link that >>79464958 pointed out), but going by the eye-shape theory Ruby and Blake are backwards.
Fuck I wish that if MMK were so in love with this idea of "deepest lore" paint-by-numbers visual metaphors, their construction of them in the series would be ironclad and airtight. When they get diluted by little misalignments and ill-considered production choices, it defeats the entire purpose of committing to them in the first place.
I don't care about shipping or any stupid headcanons, but why make them fuck on Ruby's bed? That's just low.
>When they get diluted by little misalignments and ill-considered production choices, it defeats the entire purpose of committing to them in the first place.
Yeah. They are really bad about that. Just watch Chapter 6 of Volume 3. Summer and Fall have their colors swapped.
So Emerald has two options:
>stay evil, but get abandoned/killed once Cinder decides that she's getting in the way of the keikaku by getting cold feet
>have a change of heart and attempt to defect, but at the cost of her own life. No one will believe or trust her and her best outcome is indefinite imprisonment in a closet on an Atlesian gunship
There is no possible way she's going to just cleanly heel-face and become one of the good guys. She's ended lives or attempted to end lives and caused a whole heap of trouble, both directly and indirectly.
>There is no possible way she's going to just cleanly heel-face and become one of the good guys.
Perhaps the recent surprisingly good story of the show has made you forget that the writers are still Miles and Kerry
But its not though.
There is no similarity between RWBY and the Maidens in terms of powers. Noooo idea where you got that from.
Ruby is very much like Spring, yes. Derp.
Weiss isn't much like Winter. Weiss is haughty and principled, and rather brash. Not like Winter.
Yang isn't like Summer. Yang is compulsive and almost destructive in her determined attitude, and while she is playful like Summer, you could also just as easily say she's as playful like Spring.
Blake isn't like Fall. The biggest, strangest comparison: She's a force of justice, not being thankful for what you have. Both are mature, but then again the Maiden of Winter is very much mature.
I can see Weiss and Ruby becoming maidens. Maybe even Yang. That's a maybe.
Not Blake. She has no connection between anyone who could be a maiden (except for RWY) and therefore I find her getting maidenhood a strange proposition.
Yea but it's a Ruby style anime which means she'll do something good and save everyone and when ironwood comes to arrest her all the kids will be like 'plz no, she's good now' and he'll let her go and she'll just enroll and live a normalish life.
Oh hey, those look like they share the same stylistic sensibilities used by the guy who drew all those Frozen sketches.
Oh yes, I think I might have thought that when I first watched it. Thanks for pointing that out.
>her best outcome is indefinite imprisonment in a closet on an Atlesian gunship
This I doubt. However, generally shitty consequences for detention, probable.
>There is no similarity between RWBY and the Maidens in terms of powers. Noooo idea where you got that from.
Because I never said they were.
>Weiss isn't much like Winter. Weiss is haughty and principled, and rather brash. Not like Winter.
With moments of self-reflection. Such as letting go of her anger at Blake rather quickly. Her theme song is Mirror Mirror, after all.
?Yang isn't like Summer. Yang is compulsive and almost destructive in her determined attitude, and while she is playful like Summer, you could also just as easily say she's as playful like Spring.
Summer warmed the Old Wizard's heart. Gold talks all about how Tang wants to keep people safe and warm and all that nonsense.
>Blake isn't like Fall. The biggest, strangest comparison: She's a force of justice, not being thankful for what you have. Both are mature, but then again the Maiden of Winter is very much mature.
>Force of jusrice
You mean like how all the maidens went out of their way to help anyone they could? And how Fall was probably the one who was all for that given her status as the eldest and the leader?
>RULES OF NA-Blam!
What's good RWBYg?
I took the first steps of my secret project.
I believe it, I just still stand in the "Pyrrha won't be fully dead." camp.
It's not rape if 7 out of 8 people support it!
That's a great Ruby!
Great, more welfare faunus children with no father. Hooray.
Have porn instead of that terrible shit.
Is Adam the baby daddy or Sun?
How long has she been in Beacon?
>No but the four people with powers and similar appearances and personalities does.
Work on your gosh darn diction then, you slippery git.
Sure, Weiss gave a lot of thought and judged Blake fairly. That wasn't really reflection. Mirror Mirror however is a valid comparison to draw between her and Winter. As I said, I can see Weiss being the Winter maiden.
Gonna have to disagree on your interpretation of Gold. Yang and her theme "I Burn" is less of Summer's optimism and sense of possibility and more of a defiant anthem of a badass, that once I'm on a path I'm gonna bulldoze right over you.
Fall's piece of wisdom was to be happy with what you have, a humbleness and tranquility that Blake, as someone who has been maligned and subjugated and misled for various parts of her life certainly does not possess. (Also, jumping to conclusions about Fall being the "leader" of the group just because she is the eldest, and also forgetting that Ruby is the leader of the current day team. )
A tradition as concrete as shitposting itself.
I really, REALLY hope so.
Maybe this one will work?
It's a good start basing it of Kronk!
Care to share?
What are you drinking, and what are you playing?
People DO seem to enjoy that, monster girls still a shit though.
Wait what? Please explain.
>hover in the air with the rest of RWBY and summon the four elements
Face it, that's how the final boss is going to be taken out.
After a really long and satisfying fightEither that or they'll pull a Ronin Warriors and give all of their power to Ruby so she can have a big damn fight.
>(Also, jumping to conclusions about Fall being the "leader" of the group just because she is the eldest, and also forgetting that Ruby is the leader of the current day team. )
Is it really jumping to a conclusion when she speaks for them and all of the other sisters are specifically waiting for her?
Time to lewd Penny.
>Wait what? Please explain
It wouldn't be much of a secret project if I told you, now would it?
>What are you drinking and playing.
I am drinking Famous Grouse whiskey and I am playing HuniePop in anticipation for it's spinoff.
Played PSO2 all day and ran into Penny. It hurt too much.
Same, she's not going to be the Fall maiden; it will go horribly wrong somehow. This will awaken Jaune's Semblance and save her from certain death, but she might also wind up a vegetable for a time
No, I think she's gonna lose it to Cinder and that's gonna make Cinder a baddie for next volume as well, but I still stand by Cinder dicks Pyrrha and Jaune goes Full Arc to save her, making Ruby V Cinder super saiyan powerup hype for next finale.
>Summer's optimism and sense of possibility
Yang wants a life full of new possibilities while not knowing what tomorrow will bring. It's in her her conversation with Oobleck.
>Fall's piece of wisdom was to be happy with what you have, a humbleness and tranquility that Blake, as someone who has been maligned and subjugated and misled for various parts of her life certainly does not possess.
But something she learns when she learns to stop pushing herself so hard back in Volume 2 during the joke of a Dance Arc.
Do you think pic related might end up happening?
That part made me iron hard. If I had a husbando, James would be the one.
Although I am bit salty that he stole my OC's weapon. Or atleast one. I had an idea of a hunter who wields two handguns. One large caliber semiauto and a large revolver. And grenades. And a lot of knives and blades.
A walking armory.
I think it will happen, I just don't think it will go according to plan. I think that both Cinder and Pyrrha will lose all of the Fall Maiden's power desu, leading to a search for the randomly selected Maiden.
Who will turn out to be a member of team RWBY.
A-are you making a full sized Ruby?
Good Whiskey, bad game. Play something good like Lethal League.
Here have this one.
I think it is gonna almost happen, but then Jaune will interrupt it with his semblance bullshit, but that will knock him out with his final words encouraging Pyrrha. Or Cinder is gonna take it, Jaune uses his semblance to stop Pyrrha from dying and the gang fights Cinder together, but I think it's gonna end up being Ruby v Cinder, and everyone else V the dragon.
Well, one of the other animators already let us know he did Ironwood.
Because supposedly Ironwood's sick beowulf spins are supported by the animation rigs they have - thus proving Dillon isn't the hero we deserve, but he is the one we need right now. Or maybe the other way around, I'm not sure I've ever really gotte
