Disney Infinity playsets (basically story mode campaigns) sell for thirtyfive bucks and come with two figures, usually the main guy and a girl that won't sell well on their own.

Now, Marvel has gotten a lot of heat from Disney Infi ity fans. They completely control the Marvel content in the game, and have made a number of questionable choices., not the leat of which is doing another Captain America figure instead of a new character.

Now, we find out that he is the ONLY figure in the 3.0 Marvel campaign. They're selling five other figures seperately, and couldn't be arsed to give someone with Cap. They got fucking greedy.

What is this Marvel Battlegrounds playset?

What are they gonna do for 4.0? They got Marvel stuff, they got Star Wars stuff from the prequels to the original trilogy to Force Awakens. What's left?

They said 3.0 will be a more drawn out release than 2.0 was. It looks like they're willing to add characters and stuff post release via patches, so it looks more like 4.0 won't happen until they need to introduce something significant to the gameplay mechanics, like water or four legged characters.

That said, Disney Classics and Disney TV Shows have both been touted as ideas. They balked at more TV characters after Phineas and Agent P bombed, but fans have been clamoring for Kim Possible and Gravity Falls, Wander is apparently a really popular fan choice, and season 2 might make Star and Marco actually viable choices. JV has apparently already met with Alex Hirsch about GF content and Christy Carlson Romano about voice acting KP, so...

I do not understand why people play Disney Infinity. It is the primary thing holding us back from getting actual video games.

Star Wars Rebels playset.

It's unlikely they'll do any figures for Rogue One, since that's an "adult" Star Wars film.

If that's the case, they probably won't release any new Star Wars film stuff until Episode 8 in late 2017.

Wouldn't be surprised if they whip out a Rebels playset in the interim to pick up slacking Star Wars sales. $5 it will come packaged with the missing Hera figure, or one of the villains.
