I imagine like Image books and stuff the Vertigo books probably have better sales retention since people don't pick them up for collection or continuity purposes, they pick them up because they look good

Wendig has only written one thing that I read, and it was the absolutely terrible Star Wars novel "Aftermath" that came out last year.

Then Wendig attacked anyone criticizing the novel for any reason claiming that they were just homophobes because it had a gay protagonist. He had some FASCINATING twitter rage wars going.

The man gives me very bad vibes.

Yeah I don't think those people get how much safer it is to just go to Vertigo.
Some of the new books have writers that haven't even been writing comics long, so they'd lose a lot trying to get published at Image, even with the same book.
And it seems DC has gotten a lot of new talent from Vertigo over the past couple years. King and Amy Chu being a couple.

Honestly, if Millar wrote comics that ran as either actual on goings or for more than just five issues I think he'd have some good shit coming out.
But he insists on turning pretty much all his recent comics into movie pitches, and they really suffer quality wise. I think the last one I really enjoyed was Starlight.

Yeah, Starlight was good but it needed at least two more issues just to round things out. I felt like Duke just jumped back into action too quick, we needed an issue of him relearning how to be an intergalactic hero. And we needed more about the Resistance and the Kingfisher's too. It all just wrapped up too quickly and cleanly.
And yeah, Jupiter's Legacy was actually pretty enjoyable, it's just a matter of him ever actually finishing it. The fact that we're on Jupiter's Circle part 2 but we haven't heard jack about the main series is hilarious. Although I guess part of that is Quietely, his art may be beautiful but it clearly has a price.

I liked how it gets right into the nit and gritty. If anything, at least one. Maybe to show him training some more. But that would be it.
As for how it wrapped up? Pitch perfect to me.

We have heard about the main series. We got a preview back in November or so.
Coming back this Spring.

Layman (Chew) and some other creators lamented how terrible doing long form comics is.

All the variants, relaunches, events, crossovers, etc really bleed retailers dry and they often have to cut back on other titles.
So things like Chew start losing units/sales each month.

I think its more of a dig how he became kind of swarthy in Superior Foes after being pale in New Thunderbolts. Shocker got unusually tan in Superior Foes, but you barely see him out of his suit anyways.

Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.

Yay, time for 90s grunge movement in spaaaace!

I think that's honestly just the art in Surperior foes, there's a certain kind of saturation to it that makes people look a bit odd. Everybody's quite pink looking.
Also, Superior Foes Shocker looked really Italian/possibly Russian mobster to me for some reason, maybe that's just the hair though.

As best I can tell, Threeboot is 36 issues, and then the chronology also includes some Omega Men etc. So not a super-long diversion, we can also maybe switch it up on weekends.

Will you run the second Citizen V mini after Linkin Park Legion?

So, why is Dallas going along with letting Zemo rule the world?

Yeah, I kind of though Shocker looked like an older Italian guy there too. Technically, coloring choices aside, it was Speed Demon who had one of the more jarring civilian redesigns, since he seemed to de-age 20 years in Superior Foes.

But regarding Abe's appearance, I'm now sort of curious if there's any pictures of him outside of the Beetle armor pre-Thunderbolts. Though like Shocker, I assume it would just be of a generic looking guy.

>Linkin Park Legion
We're gonna have to decide whether or not Threeboot is more Nirvana or Linkin Park. hell, it might even have a little bit of Trapt.

I don't get how you couldn't see that would have a backlash. There are ways to have different opinions without attacking other people's tastes.

Millar's sci-fi-ish stuff recently hasn't been terrible.

I actually wasn't taking it that seriously.
It wasn't attacking, it was just my cohost and I just goofing around because it's a nolist site.
