I could really use some feedback on this one design.

Mrs. Faythorne. She's supposed to be the head of a town council that basically controls the place. She's a close descendant of a coven that used to lord over the town, and as such, she grew up drinking in good ol' granny's stories of the golden days, and has a hidden obsession about it. As a hint towards that, she arranged the council to be made entirely of women who are bloodlines from the old coven, but really, it's only her that believes so hard. So, when magical shit starts to get confirmed for real, her obsession possesses her, and she uses everything she can with her position to bring back the good ol' days.

She's the antagonist, by the way, and these colors were just here to flesh out the concept, not final. I'm having trouble designing her head mostly. I wanted the annoyed witch bitch expression that hid the wide-eyed obsession she's got.

His name is Arthur Aetheron and he is an elf with technomancy powers. He'd like to join the magical academies nearby so he could have a better chance at entering the Imperial University to research on more arcane efficient golems.

Sadly, Arthur is currently confined to public schooling due to many expulsions involving "human test-subjects".

Alright so I don't have much about Neutra, but like Both her story and Rabidtha/Tabitha deal with 8 elements. R/Tabitha deal with Magic USers of the 8 elements of Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Light, Dark, and Poison, and the secret ninth element Neutral. Magic History and lore and shit.
Neutra on the other hand so far only has robots named after the 8 + 1 elements, Neutra, Boreas, etc... It's gonna be action based and hopefully a lot more fighting. If there will be more characters, they would have decent development time, but seriously don't know which direction I'm gonna take it.

This is Angelite Miller, xe's the great-grandchild of Sadie and Lars Miller, and grandchild Pearl and Stevonnie. Xe's super calm all the time which is why xe never opens xer eyes to see, because xe's so in tune with the environment. Xer weapons are The Peace Orb and Goalie Gloves, and when not jamming on the guitar with xer Great Grandfather and Grandmapa, xe's conpeting in intergalactic soccer oturnaments and is a one gem team. Xe got offered a promotion to BLue Diamond a literal dozen times but turned it down every time to spend time with Amethyst. Also xe can walk on water and surf good.

Lu Lu: Standoffish, she keeps to herself and is not reluctant to punch people. Lu-lu hopes to join the Town Guard or of some sort law-enforcement agency when she's older. But she's cool with Soren because they've been close since childhood.

Soren: A 14 year old kid with a bright head and a kind heart. He is dragged along on many unnecessary adventures.

Alright here's my thing, it's an old photo though (19/08/2015)

I don't have a name for him yet, maybe I'll call him Gareth.
His primary motivation is fame, bards singing his name and bad guys shuddering at his ire etc.
He acts hard but he's actually very unsure of himself.
His weapon is just a staff with lenses on top, no mechanical properties, much like his wand-sidearm. He casts spells with them, fireballs etc.

Both his parents were max level characters and they raised him from childhood to be a successful adventurer. When he had a fight with a kid at school, they made him break into his 'dungeon' (his house), beat the other kid and 'loot' him (take all his stuff). His mother was a necromancer and used raised skeletons to teach him about the importance of brushed your teeth.

I plan on making a comic where he's one of the protagonists and he slowly discovers that maybe he doesn't want to be an adventurer.

I'll draw a resign of him right now so maybe you'll get to see your feedback take root live.

Attempting to make a Samurai Pizza Cats OC. Not a hero or villain, just an extra. She works at an arcade, and has a few elements reflecting this in her design (joystick hair pin, JAMMA harness comb, coin slots and buttons on obi backpack, and belt-mounted coin dispenser). At this point she still looks a little generic, I want to come up with a few more things to make her more unique. I've already given her whiskers and a "3" mouth, which most of the typical "cute" females in the show lack, so that's a start.

It's a shitty SU recolor, you can work on that by making your own thing instead of filing in the lines. I know it's safe to stay in someone else's shadow but if you want to be your own artist you'll have to depart from other people's artstyle.
The only thing she's got going for her is that she's a trans pacifist, work on that by giving her a real identity instead of one defined by gender. I'm talking about traits, flaws, motivations and aspirations.
Lastly, that pronoun thing is very cringey, you immediately label yourself as a tumbler. If you're insistent on using neutral pronouns you can use 'they' or 'it'. 'Xe' is not a real word.

my friend and I worked on one a while ago, unfortunately neither of us are drawfags but I can give a general quick description. She was a girl whose power was that her whole body was hyper dense, to the point where she weighed a little over a ton. because of this her pigment was concentrated enough that her skin, hair, irises, etc were all pure black and anywhere with no pigment (like sclera) was red due to the blood vessels being so densely packed. The whole idea with her powers we were going for was showcasing the upsides and downsides of her density, including things like whenever she got cut her blood was under such high pressure that it fired out like a pressure cutter. The general story thing was that she was traumatized by the events of getting her powers and so had two different "worlds" the story followed, the real world where she went around with an animal-like mentality working for the shady group that made her as a war machine and the inner world in her head where she rationalized it all as random college antics.

Things sometimes get a bit busy in that show's designs due to the mecha aesthetic. I suppose in the waist area I could tone down the folds at the top of the side kimono skirt plates (that was sort of an attempt to give that area something different from similar designs in the show). As far as more stuff, that's really the only donut steel I have at the moment. Everything else is just fanart of actual characters in the show.

Meet Stephanie and Daniel Count. She's 18 and he's 22. They're siblings and both still living at their parents'.

Stephanie is a techno freak who sleeps in a sleeping bag on the floor because she transformed her bedroom into a sound/movie studio. Her ambition is to make it big someday as a tv/movie producer. She is skilled and could get a job any place, but she'd rather work full time on her own projects. She might be a lil' flaky, though.

Daniel Count (or Count Dany Hell, as he is known on the net) is a Fedora-Neckbeard and he has the personnality to match: Into anime and girl cartoon series, describes himself as a Nice Guy and wonders why his being a Gentleman-Knight still hasn't been covering him with girls yet. You may mock his weilding a katana but you'll soon regret it because he handles it with surpsising skills. Writing fanfics since he was 12 made him a skilled writer who doesn't need to rely on other people's creations anymore. He lives on little writing/illustrations contracts here and there, and is always ready to help his sis with her crazy plans.

This is Rochelle Colvert, youngest child and second daughter of a noble family and knight in training. She's a fairly soft spoken but very intelligent young woman (early 20s) who earnestly wants to become a great and noble knight and champion to follow in the footsteps of her elder Sister. However her competency and confidence in physical combat is fairly lacking and her gentle demeanor leads to others often being very dismissive of her. However she's highly persistent and possess a surprising natural talent for tactics, and often manages to solve her problems in creative ways.

As part of her training, and to more or less keep her busy and out of more pressing affairs within the family household, she's sent off on a mission to investigate rumors of unrest and rising numbers of inhuman creatures. During her wild goose chase, which she takes with the utmost sincerity, she comes across a Dhampir, Ghoul and Half-Ogre trio (the other main characters of the story) who spend their time working as mercenaries and bounty hunters. Deciding they have something to do with the trouble brewing in the country side and elects to follow them.

Eventually, situations lead to them becoming friends and the four of them continue on to discover a secret plot by certain villainous factions to raise an army of unstoppable beasts using the legendary Blood of the Titan. A plot that not only threatens the world with an army of unstoppable rage beasts, but also brings with it the risk of awakening the long thought dead Titan himself.

Stupidly old and stupidly ugly art, but this is basically one of my only "full body" shots of my OC hero "Bulletproof". He's gone through some concept iterations since this, and basically he's sort of the premier hero of a whole setting, basically...

Basically, the whole world is summed in the tagline: Superpowers are everyday, but heroes are rare.

Bulletproof himself is not the strongest hero (in fact, the government passed him over in favor for the guy who was basically Superman), the fastest, or the smartest. but he's a delicate balance of these things that he combines with training and quick-thinking that puts him on par with nearly global scale threats.

This handsome young man is Baronet Brian Balder Baldur Balger Valdus. But he's better known as "Barry" by his friends, and "Baby" by his girlfriend. He is part of clan of nobles who have served the empire's legions for several generations. Adventurous and brave, Barry goes on several expeditions around the country to lost cities and temples to collect artifacts for museums. Often does he drag Soren on his journeys into perilous situations that could have been so easily avoidable.

Imagine a world of fantasy and endless wonder, but then fast forwarded to a time where that's all over and there's a system for everything. The setting has a really big 1950's flair with much optimism and hope of bright futures. I think a lot of stories like to deconstruct the 50's as a bleak era, but I'm looking for a reconstruction of sorts.

Kaine

A brutal, disfigured bounty hunter and mercenary scouring the galaxy to find the ones who did him wrong. Kaine has a feirce, ongoing blood vendetta with the Hutts; looking to systematically destroy them slug by slug with his bare hands. After winding up on a pirate vessel and forced into role of jailer, the man thought his chance to destroy the alien crime family was over; until one day, a lone padawan was captured and brought to the brig...

Kaine's personality can be described as a cold, angry and tormented Jonah Hex. He has a dry, almost morbid sense of humor with an attitude to match. He fights dirty, brutal and destructive in approach. Despite his disfigurement and scary mannerisms, the man has gone out of his way to help the defenseless in his own way on few occassions. Perhaps not as diplomatic as a Jedi but sometimes a blaster pinned to the throat and a few broken bones can get the job done. He'll take on any jobs that could hurt the Hutts, Empire be damned. He has no viewpoint about the ongoing war, doing whatever it takes to further his own goals. He is a man with nothing left to lose and even if he could turn himself around, he doesn't believe he deserves any of it. The further he distances himself from people, the better.

A veteran at the age of 35, he knows his way in and out of the galaxy and is genre savvy enough to out-wit even the deadliest of foes. His piloting skills are above average, but enough for his line of work. He prefers his LPA NN-14 blaster but can and will use more destructive weapons- be it a rocket launcher or the environment itself. Has a particular fascination with heatblades (especially when used on a screaming Hutt.).

first time doing one of these threads so forgive me.

Girl on the left is a mad scientist airship captain who flies through the sky with her Frankensteinian crew through storms to power her experiments

Guy on the left is an elderly assassin turned hired gun who is all about getting paid and doing his job. Carries a long walking staff that ends up being part of a sniper rifle. The other parts of which he carries around his body but they're so customized and strange looking they just look like odd baubles to the naked eye.

They work together in a crew of about 9 people to get revenge on some old bastards and rebuild yggdrasil

So I was plotting out a concept a while ago about coolness.
Specifically the philosophy of cool and what I mean to be cool, or what TRUE cool is. I thought about it for a long time because I wanted to make a series about the nature of cool.
The idea being that the characters would be powered simply by being cool, cool being a use-able and measurable resource, like natural mana in a fantasy setting.
I like really campy stories and upbeat comedy so the idea really appealed to me.
Started making characters based around troupes used to signify the coolest of characters

I.e: Bad-ass, smooth, classy, etc

These first two are Captain Handsome and a currently unnamed Scary guy. Captain Handsome is the representation of total confidence, which is the most common aspect of cool. He's a rock of smug hope. His powers are all about flashy big lights and silly poses.

The scary guy is based on the classic troupe of: Born evil but chooses to be good/using my dark powers to help people.
Bad guys tend to be cooler than good guys, people like anti heroes and whatnot. And it's always super fucking cool to watch the dark overlord go all out and wreck someone with his evil magic. He dresses like a TV show host to try and be less scary but always comes of as creepy. He even has a stand up set that's just sad to listen to because all the jokes end really morbidly because he don'st get humor.

These two are the concepts of Elegance and Bad-ass.

Elegance is the sleepy girl, her ice powers let her drift around and float, forming beautiful ice sculptures to attack people. She's lankier than I've drawn her here, I wanted her long limbs and hair to flow when to flies around and summons winds. She's also supposed to be chill, a horrible pun I know. Relaxed and such.


The second character is Bad-ass. They're tough as shit, and are the kind of person that tanks a punch to the face and keeps talking because your punches are weak shit to them. Naturally they ride a motorbike, which they can pick up and turn into a huge petrol bursting giant mace thing that belongs on a metal album cover.
They cover most of their body because naturally they've been though a lot and have scars due to their dark and mysterious past.

They also turn out to be a cyborg, mostly rebuilt after a huge crash.

Yeah, essentially. England and its key cities, London and such(idk the others), are in pretty well conditions. London is overseen by the queen while the key cities are ruled by dukes and such, I don't know much about the British hierarchy and status'.

"Abigail" taking the name as her own she Travels to find her past. and hopefully a future.
She Does have Powers such as Flight. and "Combat Merging" which is the Ability to Infuse the Elements into your fighting Style. over time she also learns how to fire a Green Beam out of her hands that can do some damage.

So this is my favorite character, Fluffy Bunny.
She's an ordinary bunny rabbit wearing the all powerful sunglasses of pure cool. She's basically the avatar of coolness, or a walking rule-of-cool.

She's a mentor and guide figure, mostly personifying Chill-cool, helping others learn about the nature of their cool and helping them become better and cooler people. She also tries constantly to convert bad guys and help people.

Her flaws are over thinking cool and morality and letting herself suffer any time it could possibly help someone else learn and improve as a person. Also if you take her glasses off she turns into an ordinary and useless bunny rabbit.

Yeah the arms are about one hands length too short.

I get that her right arm is foreshortened due to perspective but it's also too foreshortened and you've shrunk it. Left foot's a bit off too.

He does have cybernetics [Albeit hidden in his armoured left arm and you can see part of his skull was replaced with something metal.] Certain parts couldn't be replaced however so Kaine had to stick with bandaging most of his ugly mug up. He has a cybernetic eye that he only uses as a last resort (it fires plasma.).

Kaine's backstory does sound typical at first, but all synopsis' are like that when the full details can't be revealed... yet.

A foreigner from the religious north, Katherine Katz Tujor is the current and longest running girlfriend of the city's baronet. Before they met, Katherine was doing lots of jobs(nursing, construction worker, pilot, etc.) around the city to keep up with her apartment bills. But then she met the baronet at a museum exhibition, and developed a steady relationship from there. Katherine doesn't worry as much about finances anymore now that her boyfriend can help her get on her feet.

Just do it anon. If you haven't drawn a lot before it will most definitely suck but sucky drawings are just as fun as good ones. The key is to draw something and not erase/tear it up because it sucks, because it will but you have to learn to embrace the suck. Not saying you shouldn't want to get better but don't see your sucky drawings as steps towards a destination (good drawings), every drawing is a destination.

Go draw it and love it with all its shityness and then post it here too. I can't guarantee that other people wont shit on it but done is better than perfect.

Hey thanks.
The plan is to make it into a game (you're the new guy and half the Cool people get brainwashed into thinking you're the bad guy and you have to beat them back to they're senses) but then make comics about it as a follow up for fun.
I was planning to make it a comic before I got interested in making a game and realized how perfectly the setting and characters could be used as a game concept.

It started with one of those fantastical scenes of a night sky, the kind with multiple fluorescent-colored planets, and then panned down to a profile view of a figure sitting on a small hill, which was reflected in a lake directly below it. As the bass drops at 0:11, the figure, but not the reflection, would stand up and start to stretch. The reflection would then follow, slightly more lazily, and at 0:24, they'd start to run simultaneously, as if the reflection was just a reflection again. Then it would go into a whole sequence of views playing with the space that the figures occupy, eventually revealing the male and female in pic related; like, the line separating the two would go slanted, and the figures would scale so how much space their side had. Or we'd change our perspective on one to a back profile and mirror it on the other with a front profile. Whatever they did, it would be mirrored in some with with the other.

At some point, it would become clear that they running/fighting their way through some sort of abstract gauntlet to get to each other, and the song would end with the barrier between them disappearing and the picture cutting out just as they reach towards each other and juuuust almost touch hands (Hitchcock Dolly Zoom-style).

Their designs were supposed to play with masculine/feminine duality with the girl wearing a large loose shirt and a boyish haircut, and the guy wearing a form-fitting jumpsuit and eyeshadow/mascara. Color scheme was neon green, black, and white. Their names were Para (female) and De (male).

It's kinda a horror-mystery themed thing, with dramatic shifts of tone between funny stuff to life-threatening circumstances/creepy scenes.
At first, I was worried it was looking like a gravity falls clone, but that's not a problem anymore. At least to me.

I've got a couple of character designs for a story I was planning to do on a /tg/ quest thread. But the more i've been fleshing it out the more I kind of want to make it its own thing.

Definitely drawing inspiration from Starship Troopers, and should it be an interactive comic instead of a quest thread, maybe Prequel. But nothing set in stone beyond a bunch of art.

Clover (left) used to be a warrior/arena fighter who always wanted to be a musician. After a train crash she replaces her arm and starts traveling the world to become a famous musician.
Sweet Grass (right) is a small farm girl who spent her life cut off from the world. She was crippled at a young age. When she turned 22 she was given cyborg legs and left her farm. She's a musical genius who is a quick learner and can memorize melodies and tune to people well. Clover Agrees to show her the world and in exchange Sweet Grass has to join clover's music to help her sound good.

It's been a while since I dropped into one of these threads.
Due to other commitments I haven't had much time to work on my own stuff.

But I've been setting aside time and slowly building a roster of donut steels based off of superhero archetypes while giving them the stupidest names I can come up with.

Some of these designs are years apart and eventually due for a redesign some where down the line.

ATM they are as such:

The Mighty Mooseknuckle -Big guy brute, punches stuff hard.
The Courageous Camel Toe- Partner to The MMK , martial arts expert, kicks stuff hard.
The Running Gag- The Mercurial Masochist, BDSM speedster.
Stockholm and Lima- Stockholm is a masked vigilante and Lima is his "adopted" underage under dressed sidekick.
Freeze Peach- Cryokinteic
TransFats- has the abilities of Invisibility, matter phasing , limited telekinesis all tied to her caloric intake.
Secret Sauce- Hapless fast food employee who gains the ability to alter his density and viscosity after a lightning bolt strikes a shipment of special recipe "secret sauce".

Zaahir, one of the main characters in a future story called Light of the Sun. Him and his race live in an ancient desert village abandoned by whatever lived there before. Old relics of this past civilization are scattered about. These guys love to rummage through the sand and collect the relics, keeping them as trophies. Zaahir's a huge weenie, always following his older friend like a lost puppy on stupid adventures that never bear any fruit. He's normally pretty depressing, but he's smiling for you guys.

Also Adelia, the overbearing, belligerent big sister type to Zaahir. She relies on Zaahir cause he's her only friend. That means she has to reel it in sometimes if she wants to keep him around. I always describe her as a schoolyard bully that also is your best friend.

Kinda old image and not as good as Zaahir up there, but it's the best image to get across her personality.

Well here it is. The important thing is i tried my best and I had fun making it.
