Squadron supreme #3
It is probably too early for this
but a shield army is worthless
Well I guess that is all
But why would I WANT to fight cancer?
I know Robinson and Kirk seem to be fond of working together but PLEASE, please God let Marco Checchetto replace Krik after this arc is done, this book and team deserves so much better, Not that Kirk's art is bad, but it's severely meh and not nearly as good as his Fantastic 4 work.
It's not meant to be hidden it's the entire point of the characters to be deconstructions of JL or at least the same conceptual characters in a different environment with more realistic personalities.
>Inhumans are getting pushed beyond all reason
It's hard to find a reference to the inhumans' comics they're selling right now if you go on Marvel's site. And I like All-New Inhumans.
>I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is Superman: Grounded done right
This is Superman done right. DC can dream of such writing.
And Marvel writes better Batman than DC.
Didn't mean it in a bad way though, both Authority and Squadron are some of my favorite teams. Should've said murder happy/willing to do what it takes to get rid of problems I guess.
Edgy is shorter, though it does have a bad connotation on /co/.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how great Hyperion becoming a trucker is? It's like grounded done right.
Hopefully the ongoing does the premise justice. Never read anything by Wendig.
They wasted too many pages on the speedster bit. I expected more from Doc than beams and getting mind raped. Well she did capture rogue. I think hype should have taken johnny. Best part was Zarda crashing in. Generally bad form for what a lot of people thought was the second strongest avengers team. They should have smashed then before forced to retreat when jim and shield showed up. This coming off of Namor giving half the team trouble.
>This is Superman done right
Eh, let's not go that far. Hyperion himself, despite obviously being a Superman expie, still does have some other things going on the seperate him from Supes. Having Supes kill Namor and destroy Atlantis, for example, would be gross character assassination of the highest order, but works for Hype.
He almost assuredly would have in Starbrand/Nightmask... if it wasn't going to get cancelled by issue 6 since it had the lowest sales of any ANAD book.
It's hard being a New Universe fan. It's hard and nobody understands.
the difference between a 90 year old steve rogers and a normal adult man is far less than the difference between young cap in his prime and the massively superpowered people he fought and defeated
This shit's rad. Why is SS dropping in sales again? I am disappoint /co/
Only the Black Panther is any good at fighting cancer
>T'Challa told Mar-Vell on his deathbed that there was nothing he could do to help
What a dick
Is even Injustice Superman at the level where he would hunt a guy down in his living room when he's neither hurting or threatening anyone and destroy his city and decapitate him?
>Squadron supreme got away with murder
>Black parthner saved the marvel universe
This year is shit.
>I'm not like the loser Human Torch you might be used to.
>other than spending a third of their time so far killing a, well, not beloved, but sorta liked hero and then committing genocide, they're not edgy at all!
I mean fuck, it's not even the same Namor that killed Doc Spectrum's planet so it's completely unprovoked too.
Yeah, and Doctor Spectrum is Green Lantern, and Power Princess is some ambiguous mashup of Wonder Woman and Big Barda.
The same as how Earth-8 in DC is all palette swapped versions of Marvel characters.
Hypercrisis etc. etc.
>>T'Challa told Mar-Vell on his deathbed that there was nothing he could do to help
Well he was a KREE and his biology was different so..so...
oh fuck it
He was was white so he deserved to die, thanks Reggie!
When did Blur get Marvel-speedster-fast?
DC has lightspeedsters. Marvel have speed-of-sounders. New Universe runners were, what, 100 mph or so? Fast as hell for humans, but not so much from a superhuman perspective.
This reminds me of Avengers Undercover, in how they come down a lot harder on heroes who step out of line than they do with the villains.
You don't see them throwing this sort of force against anyone else.
Mar-Vell's cancer was being amped by the Negabands.
It was specifically a super-cancer, and not even Thanos' grandpa could cure it.
Read Death of Captain Marvel again you plebs.
>amped by the Negabands
Literally the opposite. The negabands were keeping the cancer subdued but also making it so they couldn't treat it as long as they were on, but the cancer had slowly progressed to such a point that without the negabands keeping the cancer in check, he would immediately die, but as long as they were on, they couldn't cure him. That was the whole issue. To cure him, they had to remove the negabands, but removing the negabands would kill him before they'd have a chance to even attempt to cure him, made worse by the fact that the Kree refused to give them their Kree-Cancer Cure.
Sounds like you need to reread Death of Captain Marvel, you yutz.
I just assumed that he re-upped on the super-soldier serum but it wouldn't undo the aging, since it doesn't make you younger, just slows your aging. If you're already old when you take it, then it's not going to knock 40 years off you, just make you ripped.
If there were never any incursions and Panther went back to pre-Incursion Earth and set everything on a better path, how did Namor still destroy an earth and how does everyone know/care?
I mean, how did Doc Spectrum survive and remember? How does anyone remember? It doesn't make sense.
I'm pretty sure they remember they remember TRO and nothing else. Nobody remembers battleworld or what happened 8 months ago according to ultimates. Just that something happened and the universe changed. Doc remembers fighting the illuminati and probably everything up until the final incursion. However everyone else besides hype fought the cabal or died in other incursions and somehow got here so there is no telling what they know. Hyperion died before the incursions on the edge of wild space he is the biggest mystery. The only people that remember battleworld are doom, singularity, and maybe miles.
