Picking the issue up in a few hours while American bros are still asleep, let's get a Walking Dead thread going.
Also will post issue #153's cover which got released yesterday I think.
There's #153's cover, looks like Rick survives #150 but he's in a critical position here or it could be Kirkman trolling us like he did with #103 where people thought Negan was going to bash his head in with Lucile when it just symbolized a power shift from Rick to Negan.
Damn, I forgot the link:
I'm not really expecting any major death to happen in today's issue, what do other anons think? I know he joked about Andrea dying but I am thinking something more shocking will happen.
Dwight and Laura leave the Sanctuary to do something.
Rick is attacked by one of the rednecks and Josh's father, he kills the redneck by biting his throat. Morton flees. Original plan was to frighten him but they fuck it up and Rick sees the redneck's face.
Andrea walks in on Carl and Lydia having sex.
Rick has a rally where he announces he was attacked and goes into detail about the military organization, forgives Morton for taking part in the rednecks attack.
Negan can hear the commotion from his cell and praises Rick.
I'm looking forward to seeing where Dwight's story is going to go but I expected the betrayal to be on a bigger scale.
Oops I missed page 15
This happens right after this >>78948525
Sorry about that. Let's get back on track
So when is Rick going to release Negan on the whisperers?
Carl is not fucking Andrea. That's the Alpha's Daughter
>Carl fucking Andrea
Now that would be something interesting, imagine if that actually happened.
So how do you think Lydia hasn't gotten pregnant yet despite being The Whisper's and Carl's cockslave? There was a good theory a few threads ago about how The Whispers used condoms made from dead skin, kind of similar to the same process they use to make the suits.
Where have you been bro? This is not even the first time they fucked
Would be a great tactic for them to infiltrate the Whisperers... I'm thinking Rick's new found view on this war will make him hardened and willing to do what it takes to ensure his people survive.
They have Lydia there with them so they could probably get her to make them for their military, I can just imagine Rick's people infiltrating Alpha's then causing a shitstorm to happen with the Walkers, messing up their perception and turning them onto ultimately feed on The Whispers.
I still have a bad feeling about Lydia and Carl, for some reason. But I'd like to think Lydia will choose them over the Whisperers in the end. Alpha just needs to die, and I'll be happy
This issue seals it, I think I'm okay with AMC doing the show until the wheels fall off. I need to see Lincoln with a cane and a forbidden bromance with JDM.
i just wonder if JDM is willing to be such a prominent character in the series after this arc in the show. Not that he's a major name or anything but he is one of the more bigger casting names I've seen for a show
I don't think things will end well for either of them, if anything it'll just shape Carl further into Negan 2.0 if Lydia does die.
I'd like to think that there will be some cool espionage shit going on with the masks if Lydia does help mass produce them for the community, you can see where I'm going with this, Alexandria and others will sneak into The Whispers camp, gather Intel and come back while fucking with them for what Alpha did with the pikes. Alpha could do the same and get people on the inside, while causing shocking messages similar to that of the beheading. I think that's what we're going to see this arc and next before things escalate to another all out war.
Though I see the conflict ending with maybe a treaty or something, they could use Carl and Lydia's relationship as an example to help cement things and propose that they wouldn't need to fight further, giving that they are from two different groups at war but are in love. Then again, this is The Walking Dead so chances are Lydia is just going to die to help further Carl's growth.
I think there's a good chance he'll stay on as long as they want him. Honestly this is the peak of his career. It was pretty smart casting 50 year old JDM over some young buck that would've used TWD's popularity to quickly hop into a movie career.
>You think her group will end up playing a bigger role
I was expecting something big for a while, they got a hell of an intro, but now
>glorified background characters at this point?
this seems to be the case. They're extra bright sprinkles that add flavor to the world. Fine by me. I'm more interested in seeing what the fuck the Kingdom and Sanctuary are up to. I just hope we get more of team Magna's PoV. I want to know what they think of the great Big Dick Rick now that he's asserted his dominance.

Speaking of other communities, I wonder when we're going to see Oceanside? They more than likely don't want to get involved in this, they really don't have a good reason too since they didn't lose people in the beheadings, I'd imagine they'd stay independent from the war but I could be wrong.
>I was expecting something big for a while, they got a hell of an intro, but now
All that buildup for nothing. Though I wouldn't say truly nothing, we still don't know what they are going to do in the grand scheme of things, they could try and topple the Ricktator's regime like how Rick became leader. Or I'm guessing they are there to show things from a different perspective of the community, kind of like how when Rick and co first entered and they acted all cautious and covertly.
I'd like to see Magna be Rick's general or something, that would be cool, or maybe interrogator. She knows what torture looks like apparently so her putting those skills to use would be good.
yeah i thought something huge would happen with them... especially since they called their issue a game-changer. thought for sure we'd be focusing on her group for a while.
wonder if things had to be changed
Texas Killing Fields was a pretty solid meat-and-potatoes murder mystery thriller starring him.
The Losers was pretty goofy but he's a lot of fun in it.
He's one of the few bright spots on the sinking ship that's this latest season of The Good Wife.
Yes. After the Whisperers are dealt with, I think Kirkman will make Magna and her group a prominent prescence within the comics. Hell, Magna will make a great antithesis to Maggie, similar to the dynamic of Negan/Rick. I wouldn't mind a Magna vs Maggie plot.
Kirkman can handle Magna character well, if he write her perfectly. I'd like to see more of the internal/isolated problems then Rick and them having to deal with external forces like the Whisperers. To put it simply, I'd like to see Rick develop a relationship with Magna where he trust her and Magna gradually become more of a villian as she discover more information about Rick, Maggie, Carl, and Andrea where Magna kill one of them and Rick fall off the deep end and kill her. Beats me.
>I still have a bad feeling about Lydia and Carl, for some reason.
Carl is safe, no matter what happens. Kirkman said he'll kill Rick eventually. And Kirkman'll use Rick death to keep Carl alive to become the protagonist, most likely.
Lydia? Yes and no. I've got a feeling Kirkman will put Lydia in a ambiguous situation where an issue will end vaguely rather or not she is alive or dead. Then the next issue, Lydia is comatose and quarantine and is put on daily survilence.
If Kirkman is going to keep Negan alive for a while, then it'd be great to set up Carl as the anti-hero/sliding into his own villainy with Negan making Carl his protege because Carl can't stand Rick sermons, so he goes to Negan for advice. Negan isn't a myth, the boogeyman, a legend anymore, so it'll be good to see Negan give backstory about his own life and Carl would be great for that, make Carl feel like he can trust Negan and all. And then, it'd be sweet karma if Carl did eventually kill Negan as he once told him.
>will make him hardened and willing to do what it takes to ensure his people survive.
Rick'll stay the same as he currently is. And he already ensured the survival of his people by proposing the army.
As Negan said, Rick kept him alive not out of goodness yet because Rick wanted to be reminded of his humanity. So, I think Rick is hardened, he use it as a surpressor knowing he can revert to that Rick Grimes again.
Rick became smarter and analytic, i.e., the way he reprimended Olivia secretly for leaving Negan cage unlock, telling Eugence there has to be another way instead of harming Lydia, etc cetera., Rick is hardened because of his current experience he goes through.
He still has to live in a shitty zombie infested world where he got Christmas Story'd, lost his mother and sister and is slowly becoming the villian and since no one beats Rick mo fuk Grimes Carl's fate is sealed.
So no. I am NOT jelly of Carl.
Is it just me or does Jesus not seem even remotely amused by these developments
How they handle Negan will make or break the show for me. If he's not perfect they fucked up.
Decent issue. I kinda expected more since they hyped it up quite a bit, but I guess they have to build up these new war with the whisperers.
I'm so fucking confused.
Is Rick trying to build an army and fight Alpha, or is he lying and distracting them via a long con, following Negan's advice? The beginning and end of the comic make it seem like the former, but Negan's final line to me of "atta boy" makes it sound like Rick is just planning on indefinitely raising a military -- or at least using it as a means to stall.
What's going on?
Negan's manipulating Rick in becoming a power-thirsty blood-driven soulless piece of shit of a leader like himself, or at least taking him to the point in wich he appreciate (and crave) being powerful just for the sake of it.
my two cents
That sounds boring.
I'd like to see something like a super community made up of scientists, military officers, congressmen and the US President coming out of their techno utopia to take over the US, without regards to other survivors.
Big Dick Carl
>she sees the beast
srsly now, why is she startled at two adults having sex
Can't imagine a worst moment to have the talk, unless we are having a graphical talk.
They could do The Saviors again I guess. They've built it up so that there might be a schism or civil war within the group or maybe the rest of the communities. A couple issues ago they mentioned how half The Saviors want to basically storm Alexandria and one of the reasons Dwight needs to stick around. I wonder what he's going to do with Lucile
I wonder if and possibly Carl and Lydia do have an accidental child out of all the fucking they are doing they could use the baby as a symbol of peace between The Whispers and all the communities.
Then again what's stopping Carl from forming his own harem? Since he's taken more and more after Negan I see this as being a likely possibility.
I just thought of something.
What if Dwight NTRs Carl? Imagine just because Lydia is attracted to Carl solely because he kind of looks like a Walker, just imagine what she'll do when she meets Dwight.
>Carl from forming his own harem
>he's taken more and more after Negan
>Lydia is attracted to Carl solely because he kind of looks like a Walker
imo Sophia is gonna bath-blood someone someday
Carl as the new Negan with Dwight as his second is a strong possiblity too
I hope that Jesus will be the one that keeps Rick from going full Hitler
I think it'll be solely Jesus's fault that a split in the communities happens, he knows Rick is full of bullshit and he's got a good detector, like when he picked up on Gregory planning to assassinate Maggie.
So who else would go into Carl's harem? He's already got Lydia, Sophia is a possibility depending on how she feels with polygamy and that girl Anna. Imagine if he somehow managed to recruit Andrea or Alpha.
