Well Civil War, Secret Invasion, and Siege all had this kinda connected Star Trek 2 to 3 to 4 vibe. They weren't great stories, sure, but they at least gave me a reason to see what would happen next.

Then it ended and reinterpreting the Midgard Serpent as a dude with a biker 'stache and using it as a disappointing way to end Buckycap can't really compete.

Then I'm hearing about how Hickman is doing this "epic" run but all I see happening is him hastily introducing OC after OC from outer space and calling them the Avengers for no reason.

Avengers gave us Infinity, which I personally enjoyed. I enjoyed all the stuff with them fighting the World engine, I enjoyed the time-hop arc, I enjoyed the hunting of the Illuminati too. I didn't love it as much as NA, but it was better than what came before with Bendis, and decently written
