>inb5 facebook i only use it to talk to family and friends abroad and get updates on artists and comic/vidya pages bitch probably one of those that adds people randomly and i'm too beta to decline
>see this >ask who's her favorite deadpool writer >hoping she doesn't say daniel way since not everyday i see grils that like comics let alone Deadpool >she says Stan Lee the only writer people that only watches the movies know >tell her Stan Lee didn't write any Deadpool comics let alone made him >fucking unfriends me >i didn't even remember adding her cause fuck i explained it on the spoiler >marvel is life
>>78924285 >clearly combating idiocy is a crime and he should he shot on benis inspection day. Stan Lee was a hint that she did not know jack and did not want to be called on it but if she is such a sperg that she can't deal with 1 call out than he is better off
>>78924423 >upset that she unfriended you put that story in any other context. like a sports team or a car.what if she said her fav player is ronaldo and when asked what team she liked she said casuals only know real madrid. if anyone unfriends you over a correction than they are a sperg.
>>78924423 >responding to a autism callout with 'what if you was smart' so it fully went over your head eh.10% thing is a falsehood that has been perpetuated for years because of oversensitive cunts not calling out idiocy.you always use 100% of your brain and the % is not tied to intelligence
>>78924493 If someone asked me who my favourite deadpool writer was over facebook then corrected me I'd probably save myself the hassle and just unfriend them.
>>78924544 You really are upset that she didn't continue the conversation huh
>>78924604 How did you plan on taking that forward? What do you think her response would have been? 'Oh yeah you're right he didn't.' She probably does not give a flying fuck about the comic books and just wants to see the movie, the blaring autism here is from the fact that you genuinely believed someone was going to respond to that with anything other than a 'please don't talk to me'
>>78924662 >wanting to talk to someone about comics is autistic What if i told you i was just starting a conversation and she just up and unfriended me cause i told her Stan Lee didn't write Deadpool >autistic you use that word a lot not everyone here is as autistic as you though this is what normies call "talking to people" maybe try it :^)
>>78924779 You asked a girl who her favourite deadpool writer was without even knowing whether she was into the comic books in the first place. You then corrected her and was surprised that she didn't want to talk to her anymore.
Just a quick tip if you ever actually want to engage in a conversation with someone about that, maybe ask if she's read the comics first? If she says no, then, I dunno, recommend her some?
I'm calling you autistic because you don't sound like you have social skills dude. Your immediate response was to call me a virgin bitch, I mean come on.
>>78924779 then i don't think you know how to start a conversation.
She was your friend on facebook. she wasn't your actual fucking friend, she doesn't know you. She just saw the ad and posted about that shit. You assumed it meant she liked comics and isn't like the other 70% of people who only know the popular characters. You then tried to fucking quiz her ass and then corrected her when she was wrong in the smuggest way possible.
You have to understand only nerds do research as to find out the names of writers and shit, why would you approach her with your full power level?
>>78924662 >If someone asked me who my favourite deadpool writer was over facebook then corrected me I'd probably save myself the hassle and just unfriend them. I only friend people who I know in real life so being a little bitch like that would not have a postie effect on real life.they would still know and may even tell others that I just tried to be a poser instead of being honest >Oh yeah you're right he didn't. yeah why not? > blaring autism here is from the fact that you genuinely believed someone was going to respond to that with anything other than a 'please don't talk to me' kill yourself and your bloodline
>>78925292 >My dorm group chat was talking about movies recently and a lot of people think this movie looks really good. >I kept saying that it's probably going to be awful Wow I bet you're fun to hang around with anon.
>>78925581 also if i ever found out my boyfriend posted screenshots from conversations we had to bond with anonymous dudes on 4chan because "xD grills don't kno about muh comics!" i would break up with them.
superhero comics are shit anyway, i'm only here because deadpool is actually one of my few favorites. and they butchered doctor strange with the casting.
>>78926797 >>78926835 >>78926899 >Man, I love this video game >Oh yeah? How many hours have you played it's prequel? >I love this actress >what movies was she in >man, cheese is tasty >how many cheese recipes do you know? It's almost like people can enjoy something without knowing about all its parts.
>>78928064 >If you jump in a series that isn't the first game Now now, there's nothing wrong with that; not everyone is the same age. As long as these newer fans understand the history of the medium and do their part to learn more abo--
>>78928113 >Idk. I Play Borderlands 2 and the first game seems like it'd be boring by comparison.
>>78927794 Nerdy chicks deal with gatekeepers all the time, what are you talking about? Loser fucks would rather defend their interests and virginity than let others like what they like, because they like it in the wrong way. Any fakers have nothing to gain from lying about it anyway.
>>78928157 Idk, feel free to disagree. I'm picky about spending money on games in the first place, but I'd get the first one if I thought it was fun enough. The only reason I went straight to the second game was because it came with Dishonoredfor a good price.
>>78928236 The world would be a lot better if we acted mature and responsible, but that ain't the case. As other anons have said, her response wasn't that unreasonable. Getting called out like that doesn't usually lead to someone going "haha woah oops you caught me" She probably though he was being an asshole, and she might've been right. Some random person being a prick, I'd unfriend them too. >captcha tells me to pick icecream >it was coffe with whipped cream
>>78928415 It isn't like I full on assumed. I looked into the orignal game, but it seems like the second was was better. I looked into it and drew a conclusive opinion. It seemed like it'd be like watching a movie after reading the book. I play on steam, so I wouldn't be able to get a refund if I tried it out. Some people like what they like, and no more. It's perfectly fine.
>>78928561 He didn't ask if she read the comic, he asked her favorite writer. It wasn't meant to be an equal comparison anyway, more of an example as to how liking ABCD doesn't mean you know the whole alphabet.
>>78924184 Every time I see one of these stories on /co/ where some fuck tries to make a woman into their girlfriend because she has a Batman shirt on I think of that Rusty Brown story where he thinks he's found his soulmate at a flea market just because she has some old G.I. Joes for sale.
>>78928568 >It's perfectly fine Again, it's not about taste, it's about effort.
In the context of this conversation, the girl on facebook claims to love Deadpool/Marvel, yet knows nothing about it. Marvel, by appealing to this demographic, makes their products appeal to the lowest common denominator. They can make Deadpool do or say anything, and the only ones who will be ok with this are those who don't know anything about the character.
When these people become the majority (as seems to be the case), entire industries adopt this business model. The anon who called her out publicly is an autist, but this is his point. And it's a good one.
I'd call your "conclusive opinion" as one born from this exact sort of majority opinion; "watching a movie after reading the book" is exactly what fair weather, story-prioritizing fans would think about mediums that aren't about storytelling.
>>78928626 Asking someone their favorite writer isn't a test though. He didn't ask for a detailed history of deadpool writers, he didn't ask who the best was, he didn't say "Oh yeah, well if you like Deadpool so much who writes it?", he just tried to start a conversation.
>Talking to a group of friends. >Mention the Twilight Zone. >Girl asks what's that. >"It's an old anthology show about unexplained stuff. It's a classic." >Girl claims she has never heard of it and neither has anyone else IN THE WORLD, and literally only I know about the Twilight Zone. >"Whatever. It's still pretty good, though, you should watch it."
And that was that. And then she watched it and liked it. What would I have gained sperging over "REEEE MUH ROD SERLING GTFO NOOORMIES"
>>78928764 Maybe she enjoys the movies and not the comics. You don't know what kind of effort was made. It may not be the case, but it is a matter of taste if they make an effort to learn more and don't like the extra stuff. Movies don't appeal to normies because of complacency, and for the most part they dont just slap a mask on a character for fun. They do it so they have a broader audience that pulls in more money. >>78928836 Even plenty of non-normies don't know or give a shot about the writers. They care about the story itself.
>>78929035 >Even plenty of non-normies don't know or give a shot about the writers. They care about the story itself. I would fall into that category, and if someone asked my who my favorite writer is I wouldn't make something up then break off contact with someone over being corrected. It's a strange, impolite response to what should have been a normal social interaction, if the story is to be taken at face value.
>>78929194 She didn't have to lie, granted. But she didn't snip off contact with her BFF or anything. Anon was some beta who friended her just because. She unfriended him either to save face or possibly thought he was being a shit. Tone is hard to read on the internet. She reacted badly, sure, but not that unreasonably. He was just some guy.
If something is "life" then they should be expected to know basic things. If I said *insert baseball team* is life you'd expect me to know who their pitcher is right? If I said lord of the rings is life you'd expect me to know that that Tolkien wrote the books and Peter Jackson directed the movies wouldn't you?
