I watched this when I was tiny, rewatched it recently and I remember the vacuum having a seizure but I must have mentally blocked out the junkyard scene and the nightmare clown.

So you're very smart. Explain why this movie is "underrated". And keep in mind that the Internet allowed this movie to be spread around via world-of-mouth. Every animation fan that has been online for more than a few years has heard of Toaster, and thanks to good ol' pirates, had a chance to see it.
Explain why it's underrated.

You know you are doing something wrong when, instead of talking about comics and cartoons, you choose to troll.
I shouldn't reply, and yet I did. God am I stupid.

It's not underrated. That said, with parents nowadays complaining about that dinosaur movie being too dark for kids, I doubt they'll let their children anywhere near this one.
i hate that blanket so much
every time he's on screen and talking in his gigantic pussy "i'm too fucking retarded to do anything" voice i am gripped with uncontrollable rage

Because people think it's a saccharine movie for toddlers.
Literally just toy story for appliances

Because it´s a toaster. Toasters can´t be brave, it would be another thing if it were The Brave Little Human,
But it can´t. Because it´s a toaster.

It's not really that underrated at all. It's also one of the few films to have a really good direct-to-video sequel. Pic related.
Fuck your this movie is garbage
>family moves away
>NONE OF THEM GET IT
>NOT THE RADIO
>NOT EVEN THE FUCKING DYSON GETS IT
>air conditioner tells them as if he knew the whole fucking time
>retarded blanket has the worst voice actor
>doesn't even look good
The film is depressing and nihilistic but it tries to be cutesy and heartwarming. The clashing of the two viewpoints is uncomfortable. It's an interesting movie but I can't see kids getting attached to it.
I've been following this dude's restoration of the film for a while. He's getting pretty close to done with it now and it looks insanely better than any other release of the film.

Here's an old comparison video between the US DVD and the PAL edition with image correction, frame-by-frame restoration, and dirt/spec removal

pic related is an example of close to what the final product will look like, though in these there's still some spec removal left and color and grain.
Really excited to be able to have a quality version soon

Because it's not as good as you think it is. I watched it lately and oh, boy it was quite bad. I remembered it a the greatest animation I've ever seen and I was so fucking disappointed. Junkyqrd scene was great though
All this hate for blankey.

>I can't see kids getting attached to it
I don't know, m8. It was my favourite movie when I was 6-10. I used to get mega-hype every time it was on.
>>78865879
Not only do you ignore all the people in this thread who loved the movie as kids, but you also severely underestimate children overall.
