Isn't it a cop-out or even "cheap" that most gay characters in recent years have been lesbians?
How long till we get more male x male pairings confirmed in cartoons?
quod erat demonstratum (or something like that)
latin for 'therefore' (which i'm pretty sure actually means something else from what we use it for, in olde english. like i know wherefore means like 'why')
basically space filler when you're trying to speak in a language that doesn't have desu in it
Literally translates to "which is what had to be proven," but is often used as a pretentious way to say "therefore."
Even though Latin already has "ergo," which literally translates to "therefore."
>TFW its gonna be another 10 years for us gay males
Not every character is gay, you know? Actually, 92% of the world population is straight.
>le half of population is gay meme, that only gay people and crack shippers believe.
im the only who thought mako and the prince have more relationship development and chemestry than korra and asami. if at the end of the series the creater tell mako and wu were gay i would believe it more
Why did you assume I meant that? I'm just saying there isn't accurate numbers with the amount of denial. For example married "straight guys" who fuck other guys on the side aren't counted
Fuck that, you know what the REAL underrepresented thing in cartoons is lately?
Gender role-reversal. And none of this "oh, he's the sensitive one, she's the logical one" dancing around the issue horseshit. I'm talking raw, full scale playing-up-cliched-stereotypes-but-in-reverse. The kind that will almost assuredly end in pegging.
We should be asking for more of that.
i want more crossdressing male protags goddamnit
they aren't pandering to making the vaginers tingle, that's what boy bands are for. they're pandering to making them feel superior, strong, and like they can get along fine without oppressive males around.
quod erat demonstrandum = which is that which had to be proven
it's supposed to be -after- the last part of a proof, -not- the beginning of the last last line like "thus, ...".
Maybe it's because things like 'white' and 'tall' and 'male' and 'into chicks' aren't part of my "identity" (pretty sure I don't even have one of those. I definitely don't have a 'lifestyle' I know that), but I feel like nothing I am has ever been 'represented' in media, except a brief flirting with 'smart people are cool' that has since been abandoned... so basically cry me a river, and call me when shit like beardedness, longhairededness, and nudism are represented to a fair level on tv.

We have to get past the Bromance hurdle. We've been sneaking lesbian subtext in this shit for years under the guise of Girl Power(!), but dudes are a bit harder because you can't pull the sexist card when people start calling a simple bromance gay, where as you can show two chicks dancing together or whatever and if someone calls it gay, you ask why they are threatened by women empowering themselves.
You bes' take that back, son.
I mean we're cool with homos in our bands because they're good guys and fantastic musicians, but... there is literally nothing manlier than (and nothing else manly in existence except sometimes bikers) glam rock.
> hot dudes wearing tight clothes and make up that sometimes grope each other
Nigga, glam is pretty gay and musicians have been exploiting it for the sake of female fans as early as david bowie.
And lesbians have a lower profile. Two girls can be ambiguously close without raising a flag, guys would be spotted instantly. Perfect when you need to fuel people's headcanons.
>Girls are cute, guys aren't.
Agreed. Females scissoring is hot. Nobody wants to see two dudes slapping their dicks together or deciding who will be the pitcher and the catcher before going at it.
